Very easy to use and produces clear scans. Almost addictive with how much fun it is to clear out old negatives and slides. I already have friends and family lining up to borrow it. Buy it - you won't be sorry!

I have tried a number of film scanners and for the price this one is probably the best. I spent five days going through over 23,000 pictures on negative strips. The untouched digital photos are surprisingly good. This unit was easy to use, the display is large enough to give you a good idea of what your photo will be like. It comes with a cleaning stick - use it. After looking at the photos I had something on the light lens that showed up in a pile of photos. If I want to print them for some reason I will just have to use photoshop to clean them up.It was also easy to deal with the large number of slides I have.

Easy to use. Slides are quickly fed and captured. Good quality and not overly large quantity of pixels used.

The ease of use is amazing. The colour and brightness looked better than some of the pictures I had developed.

My father died recently, and he had a box of slides we all wanted. Digitizing was the best solution. So quick and easy, once I figured it out. I went through over 200+ in less than two hours. The correction is Okay...it is not photoshop. Yet it got the slides of many sizes copied. I am glad I got this.

I bought the FS71 in November 2021...delivery was prompt and the scanner arrived intact. Set-up was simple. In minutes I was scanning my ancient, dusty slides. Transferring the scanned images to my PC was also a breeze.
It was an absolute thrill to look at images from the 1960's and 1970's that had been in storage for a long long time.
I am very happy with the scanner, its ease of use, and the results it produces My chat with Anton in Customer Support was equally satisfying...Hey Boss, give Anton a raise in pay!!

Problemes entre le scan et la carte SB. Possiblement un apparel défectueux. Dommage car la qualité du scan est très bonne.

I have my parent’s slides from the 60’s and 70’s that I’m trying to digitize. I don’t think they had a great camera which could be part of the problem. However, all of the slides still look like bad negatives when viewed on this thing. Adjusting the brightness and the various colors doesn’t improve the image. Only one slide at a time can be loaded which makes this a tedious process even if the pictures could be seen. Honestly, I’ve had better luck using Slidescan and bright screen apps on the computer. The Magnasonic was a waste of money and is being returned.

Converting, negative to positives was not possible for me until I went to the "U tube entry" to resolve this important step, whereas I had thought it was necessary to get expensive soft ware to do what was implied in this scanner! Fortunately I persisted and got the necessary instructions from the internet!

It does exactly what I need - scanning slides and negatives.
The most impressive aspect of my purchase was the delivery. Ordered online on a Thursday it was delivered to me in the UK early the following Monday.
No supply chain problems here.

I have boxes of slides to scan, so speed is critical. Basically once set up keep pushing the slides in and press the button. They line up quickly (because there is a little of the edge of the image missed, doesn't matter to me). As you would expect, scanning is in landscape format only, so you have to rotate any vertical format images later. I found over-exposed sky on my slides showed up with a yellow cast, even pushing the blue to its limit didn't always serve to fix that. I'm guessing snow images will also show that problem. No way that I found to set the image counter or the date digitized. Card mounted slides can catch and not exit smooothly, probably they are slightly bent which is causing the problem. Overall I am pleased with the device, enough so That I will be spending a lot of hours digitizing family pictures with it.

This replacement slide scanner works great. I am glad I got it as a replacement for the one they sent me about two weeks ago that did not work. Fast rectification of the problem.
