Customer support from this company exceeds the normal. Card reader scanner did not work, and unit was replaced promptly. Return postage being paid by seller because failure was not my fault.
Took some time to work thru the menus, differentiating between scanning for film negatives and color slides. Results are sharp.
Only downside is that some of slide or film not completely included -- a small part of edges are not included in scan. -
Great product. But it would be nice if it allowed us to save scanned images in the lossless TIFF image format and not just the JPEG format.

An early Magnasonic unit's brightness control worked fine, but often made the sky yellow. With this last unit, this problem has been solved, but the brightness control has little effect in increasing the light level of low-level light photos. The scanned image turns out almost black. I have to use Photoshop to bring the image to normal. I bought two units recently and returned one believing it was defective.

Very happy with this product. We now can see our old 1960, 70 diapo without having to watch them one by one, in front of a window! Very simple to use, quality is good (of course if the original picture is good also).

operating the fs-71
I am having a bit of problem getting black and white NOT inverted. I have not stumbled on the right combination of NEGATIVE and BLACK/WHITE to prevent inverted. I found it once so I know it does it but the instruction seems to just jump by when it comes to that point. -
Does what it's supposed to. Easy to use.

Very easy to use and produces clear scans. Almost addictive with how much fun it is to clear out old negatives and slides. I already have friends and family lining up to borrow it. Buy it - you won't be sorry!

I have tried a number of film scanners and for the price this one is probably the best. I spent five days going through over 23,000 pictures on negative strips. The untouched digital photos are surprisingly good. This unit was easy to use, the display is large enough to give you a good idea of what your photo will be like. It comes with a cleaning stick - use it. After looking at the photos I had something on the light lens that showed up in a pile of photos. If I want to print them for some reason I will just have to use photoshop to clean them up.It was also easy to deal with the large number of slides I have.

Easy to use, great value!

Easy to use. Slides are quickly fed and captured. Good quality and not overly large quantity of pixels used.

So versatile!

The ease of use is amazing. The colour and brightness looked better than some of the pictures I had developed.

My father died recently, and he had a box of slides we all wanted. Digitizing was the best solution. So quick and easy, once I figured it out. I went through over 200+ in less than two hours. The correction is Okay...it is not photoshop. Yet it got the slides of many sizes copied. I am glad I got this.

I bought the FS71 in November 2021...delivery was prompt and the scanner arrived intact. Set-up was simple. In minutes I was scanning my ancient, dusty slides. Transferring the scanned images to my PC was also a breeze.
It was an absolute thrill to look at images from the 1960's and 1970's that had been in storage for a long long time.
I am very happy with the scanner, its ease of use, and the results it produces My chat with Anton in Customer Support was equally satisfying...Hey Boss, give Anton a raise in pay!! -
Problemes entre le scan et la carte SB. Possiblement un apparel défectueux. Dommage car la qualité du scan est très bonne.
