Okay, it's not a $1000 table, but this will take care of all your needs unless you are the most sensitive listener. Anything beyond this is for people whose ears are far more focused and refined than mine. The unit itself is well built, solid, hefty ... when you hold it and set it up, you know it's good. And the stylus, balancing mechanism and counter weight combine to make an excellent audio mechanism. It took about 30 minutes of admittedly interrupted time to setup the table, level it and balance the arm. After which, I played some of my dad's old vinyl that I hadn't heard in 30 or more years, and everything played smoothly. Pairs with the PA10 pre-amp and a pair of quality bookshelf speakers, listening to those old tunes brought be back to my childhood. I shall admit a nostalgic bias for the music. But this is a great deck, and one that can be expanded upon if the owner so desires.
