Had an issue with one driver,Julie helped out sent a replacement, couldn't be happier, great speakers for the price!

I purchased these along with a Fluance turntable. They are fantastic. I am powering them with an NAD C399 which has room correction. I am in a medium/large room with lots of hard surfaces. They can easily handle the 180w per side of the NAD. I have bi-wired them which seems to help as well. Am thinking of adding a couple of subs as I like to really rock out to some 80's metal and rap. but they also the have the clarity to play the 90's new wave I also listen to. I am not sure if my neighbors really appreciate them or my taste in music.

My Findings from comparing My Fluance signature series tower speakers vs the Sonus Faber Venere S. This was a little while back when my local hifi store was closing out the venere s for 2k off msrp, i was very interested and he allowed me to bring in my speakers for a comparison.
First and foremost I'm a big Sonus Faber Fan, it's likley my favorite speaker brand.
Very Interesting findings, They both have very different sound signatures. Both Speakers were connected to the MAC gear in the photos The Signatures have a more livley sound for sure. This really stood out to me when listening to rock music. Which I perfered on the sigs, they simply sounded more dynamic. That said when listening to Jazz, classical and Rythm and blues, The Venere S sounded a bit more seductive, symbol clashes and even the piano attack stood out slighty more and overall the S offered better bass perfomance top to bottom, Both speakers threw out big sound stages and were comparable in that category. Later we added a rel t-7 sub to the mix and the bass performance gab was closed quite a bit between the two. That said in reality it was not much of a performance difference between the two performance wise. I took my time a repeated some tracks back 2 and 3 times and overall i decided it was not worth upgrading. I was interested in the Venere S because
they were being sold for 2000 off msrp and i was gonna grab some other discontinued mac gear along with them also.
But after my listening comparison i decided to past.
Interesting that it's not much of a difference between a 800 internet direct speaker vs a 5500 dollar retail speaker.

Samuel T December 24, 2022

Amazing speaker! Really love them. Super punchy bass and clear sound!

Mr M December 19, 2022

Great packaging to protect these giants, the holes for the outriggers have threaded Inserts so easy to bolt on but move with care to avoid damage to floor. These speakers look good, are well finished and sound good at low volume with great bass response and crisp high frequency, you won't be disappointed if you buy these.

Matt W December 18, 2022

Great speakers. I already had a Fluance turntable and it sounds great run through these speakers.

Armin K November 30, 2022 Ontario, Canada

Purchased 2 Signature Floor speakers and 2 bipolar surrounds to replace old speakers in the home theater.
Good quality and well-built speakers. Highly recommended.
The sound is very excellent

Jojo H November 10, 2022

Very good sound quality and customer service.

I have these speakers in the home cinema system I'm building. I'm building as I get the money but these speakers do an awesome job filling my room and providing good bass without me having a sub yet. Volume up for movies and music they sounds amazing.

My only downside I would say is they're not great at recreating vocals which can be drowned out but my centre speaker makes up for that.

I was happy to find a Canadian brand which is what swung my purchase to Fluance. I also read good reviews of their customer and warranty support.

Keep up the good work, I'll be getting the 12inch sub next.

ron July 18, 2022

crystal clear highs; solid lows...i don't hear any unusual or unwelcome bass emphasis, as some reviewers report (check subwoofer balance; loudness button; internal settings; EQ; etc., if/as may apply)...the speakers are very heavy...they were incredibly well-packaged in a double layer of heavy cardboard with foam-lined interior...delivery was very quick, esp. for my rural location...i've only had them for a little over 2 months, so can't say anything about the longer term...would definitely recommend...

Drew April 29, 2022

Good speakers and good sound. Not happy that one of the wiring posts is loose, hopefully it will not cause problems down the road.

ALI R April 1, 2022

Excellent sound! Need 8-10 hours of break in period. Music just keep sounding better and richer after that. Beautiful looking too!

Lori C March 10, 2022

great sound even at low volumes. but out of the box one bottom sub was rubbing on the voice coil. couldn't find any damage to the packing box. removed the sub and found a defect on the spider. at this price the speakers should have been sound tested on the factory floor. i find it hard to believe that are. going to cost me a extra $200 to replace 2x bottom subs. I'm a electronics engineer so repairing them is easy. not recommended for a average joe.

Kris S February 23, 2022

After the 10 hour break in period everything I play through these sounds awesome. Clear, wide sound stage, accurate powerful bass. I play cds and stream MP3's through an Auris pro Bluetooth DAC. I like the sound so much I got a second set. So now I have 2 on both sides. Now it's mind blowing how powerful and amazing the sound is. I'm using an Adcom gtp-502 preamp and two Adcom gtp-555 amps so 800 watts rms total to all four speakers. Music I play is EDM, Dubstep, smooth jazz, Rock, Metal and everything just sounds right. I also have a 15" subwoofer with its own 600 watt rms amp but it's really not needed anymore since I added the 2nd set of speakers. When it was just one set I would only use the sub for EDM and Dubstep.

stephen d February 3, 2022

They are a great sounding speaker they have two 8in subwoofers in a mid-range and a tweeter and they sound great one thing I will add don't bother subwoofer they are junk

The clarity and warmth of these tower speakers is impressive. Instruments and vocals are vibrant to the point you would think that are in the same studio. Wow Really Realistic . I am a Musician as I played Jazz, Classical and Marching band music. I know Exactly what an instrument really sounds like. In closing: You will NOT find a better sound for twice the cost. will give Polk audio a run for their money. Thanks

Amazon Customer September 9, 2021

These speakers sound incredible! Ear piercing, glass shattering highs, ground pounding, window shaking, punch you in the gut bass. By far the best sounding speakers I've ever owned and Canadian made! I love them. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because the holes were not drilled in the bottom to enable the installation of the outriggers. I was a little disappointed about that cause he outriggers really enhance the look of the speakers but they still look great! Very happy with them! I've had them a little over a week, listen to them everyday and still make the hair stand up on my arms! I recommend these to anyone who is serious about quality sound systems.

Tom August 28, 2021

After some tweaking and break in I am very pleased with these speakers.Bass was a little boomy and I plugged the bottom port and they are now very full sound capable.Used in my studio for audio sound listening. Also sound great with movies. Very deep bass.I use a Schiit Loki equalizer and it has improved the mids and high end. They will play as loud as you like.I'm using a vintage Marantz receiver 50 wpc and it is plenty loud. A newer integrated amp or receiver would probably sound even better. But I don't think the 90wpc minimum is acccurate. a lot of speaker for the money. They are huge and heavy and very well made. Look great (I have the black)

Anthony L July 25, 2021

These speakers sound amazing, it's very possible that some of these reviews are because their not using a good receiver/amplifier to push them. And it's then very easy to blame the speakers. I'm using a Denon X8500HA and a 5 channel Outlaw amplifier. In 2 channel mode listening to music these are awesome. They are better then my Klipsch F3's with dual 8 inch woofers and my Polk signature series S60's with 3 6.5 inch woofers. The bass will hit you in your chest and the mids are delightful and treble is not harsh on your ears when listening at concert level. These are a steal at the price they cost and very well made I must add. I can't tell you how they will sound with a 100 watt amp/rec but at 150 watts they truly come alive and are simply amazing.

READ BEFORE BUYINGI'm in the process of doing a YouTube video review of these speakers. I purchased them directly from fluance when I got them the cabinets were scratched up and the vinyl was separating in various spots. The grills looked like the fabric was put on with a crazy person with scissors and glue. During a 20 hour break in period never going above 100w on a marantz 8015 receiver one tweeter started sounding like static. Then when I looked the bottom of the tweet was coming undone. A little tug and it fell right out. Yes they use hot glue to hold the tweeter in place LOL! The real sad part is the tiny magnet on the tweeter. I've seen bigger magnets on a boombox tweeter. I called them and they sent a replacement on a cross ship as I wasn't paying for another speaker to be sent. When I got the new replacement upon hooking it up the midrange was DOA. It was apparent at this time I would never see a refund and I decided I would just go buy a set of Bowers & Wilkins for 200 more. After ordering the bowers I figured I needed to actually do a tear down on these as it seems no one else ever has and people need to know the cheap speakers they are buying. After removing one of the woofers I was greeted with a cheap aluminum basket once again but a decent sized magnet and decent spider but the aluminum basket is cheap. Like the tweeter they used hot glue to hold the ring in place and it popped right off. There were also 4 sheet rock screws holding the woofer in place and more hot glue. The cabinets are MDF with a simulated wood vinyl sticker over them. About the only thing that's actually made well on these speakers is the crossover. Onto the midrange which they claim is glass woven. Yes it looks nice but once it's out you are again greeted with an aluminum basket but like the woofer a decent sized magnet all in all the midrange is about the best driver and the reason it wasn't working is because I wasn't even hooked up after plugging the wires in it worked. All the drivers are made in China. I can't confirm if the final assembles speakers are assembled in China or not or assembled in Canada. Wherever its at they have the worst QC I've ever seen in a speaker. Now how do they sound? On movies they will dive deep as the cabinets design is actually quite good but the construction not so much. The midrange and tweeters offer up a nice smooth sound. As a home theater speaker they are great as long as you don't go for extended loud sounds like music in the movie. As for listening to 2 channel music? It's hit or miss depending on what you are playing. Anything with vocals sounds surprisingly good. Anything with lots of instrumentals, forget it. Spent a few hundred more and get a set of ELAC, JBL or Bowers. The set I bought I gave them, Yes, gave them to a friend. After 3 days both tweeters are not working.

I purchased these beasts last year only had them for 8 months and 1 of the speakers started to rattle inside the cabinet. I contacted Fluance Customer service about the issue and was instructed to remove the speakers to see if anything was loose and I could not find anything and it still rattled. Call Customer service again and was told I would have to send it to them for repair/ replacement. Spent over $100 in packaging materials since I threw the boxes out after having the speakers for 3 months. I took the packaged speaker to be sent and was met with a ridiculous amount to send it back ($998) at that point i was very annoyed cause I didn't have that amount of money to send it back to Fluance. I took the box that weight was 90 pounds back home and called Fluance again to let them know how much it would cost me to send it. I spoke to 2 ladies from Fluance (Dawn and Julie) they were so helpful and sent a prepaid label so that I could send them the speaker. I must say Fluance Customer service experience is absolutely awesome. I absolutely love these speakers. Sound quality is amazing and they can take much power. So my review for fluance is outstanding!!. Thank you Dawn and Julie at Fluance!!.

J’ aime tout de ces enceintes, sauf que j’ aurais aimé que la finition du vinyle imitant le bois, soit un peu plus réel,quitte à payer 50$ de +

Frederick P February 22, 2021

I don’t have a very powerful receiver — mid range Marantz.... and I don’t get excessively loud and only use for a home theater set up. One of he speakers has a cracking noise after only a month. I tried to contact the company and got nowhere... no answer and no response to email. And, they apparently don’t monitor social media. I’m willing to pay for a repair, but I’m not sure how to go about it and as it stands, I have these giant speakers taking up space not getting used.

Clifton November 28, 2020 Alberta, Canada

Just received these a couple of days ago and hooked them up to my old Onkyo a/v receiver. Watched several movies and listened to a couple of music concerts , these speakers are fantastic. I simply love them and can’t wait to get my new a/v receiver and take them for a spin. The design is beautiful right down to the little Canadian flag on the back next to the connection ports. I’m no audioholic or expert listener and I may have only had these for a few days , but I could not be more happy with my purchase.

Scott c November 21, 2020

Product was fine except found out one of the subwoofers was faulty must have been a factory defect so I am going to try to get a new subwoofer without having to send back the whole speaker I have already removed the speaker I can install the new one myself so we will see what happens.

The Fluance speakers were delivered quickly and look great. I hooked them up to my Adcom system and they are everything I hoped they would be, plenty of base, the mids and highs are just right. After warning them up and break in time the sound stage is awesome.

These speakers are amazing and they look beautiful. I wasn't sure at first listen, but after breaking them in, WOW. I love them...

Shawn M December 18, 2019 Ontario, Canada

First off the speaker look amazing. The piano black gloss finish on the fronts is great. These things are huge, around 4' tall and about 60lbs a piece. Very good biuld quality. As far s the sound, I haven't much time to play with them, so I am still in the break in period. So far they sound good.

Rick F November 14, 2019 British Columbia, Canada

These speakers are awesome, no regrets !
Never have seen lifetime warranty before or 30 day satisfaction guarantee! Believe fluance are the only ones to offer that ! Not to mention very affordable!

jean-francois, martin September 4, 2019 Quebec, Canada

bought them to replace my paradigm monitor 9. Very pleased with the sound. they do need a break-in period.

Ariel a August 8, 2019

The fluance signature series floor speakers are amazing!! I matched them with the fluance turntable and a onkyo 5.1 reciever that powers them perfect! Best bang for your buck. They look amazing also

UnclePV May 22, 2019

Nice set of speakers packed very well for shipping. I'm impressed with the overall quality of the speakers. The sound is amazing. These should last a lifetime.

Zeke, M April 4, 2019 Ontario, Canada

These are amazing speakers, they can handle any thing I throw at them, I’m extremely happy

Mark M February 18, 2019

BOUGHT THESE SPEAKERS THINKING THEY WOULD SOUND BETTER THAN A PAIR OF R28F KLIPSCH THAT COST $450.WRONG! VERY LITTLE BASS AND A HOLLOW SOUND. COST TO SHIP BACK WAS $350!!!! WHAT A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.

Michael Zay February 15, 2019 Pennsylvania, United States

Fluance is the best at what they do,fast shipping & great products! I received my Signature Series towers to complete the rest of my Signature Home Theater setup & with dual DB12 Subs as well.
These towers are very stunning looking the front of course is a beautiful piano gloss finish & the rest is black ash wood.
They say to allow a 10hr break in period for them to really open up, as soon as I received them I started playing high res music & vinyl & they sounded amazing already! Tight bass & fast response. Very easy to install the spikes as well.
I cant stip looking at these towers they are as beautiful as they sound. These speakers sound just as good if not better then other brands that are twice the price.

Amazon Customer December 17, 2018

I have an Integra DTR 40.1, Bi-amped running these in a 5.1 surround set up. I would like them to be louder when playing music and am currently looking for an amplifier to add to the system because they do not hit the low notes I would like them to hit very well and the mid range seems to be missing. I'm not asking them to hit the lowest notes because I have a sub for that but I do want to test them with more power. Overall they sound nice and look better.

WH December 12, 2018

Awesome sound for the price range (I ordered directly from Fluance, not from Amazon). Bass is deep and balance, midrange is quite clear and trebe is not that bad. I measured the sound across the frequency spectrum and Bass will roll off +- 3dB below 40KHz range (if you have the sub make sure set the sub at @40Hz . As the rule of thumb for me, always set the cutoff freq at the roll off point of the speakers). Trebe will be flat close to 18KHz. Fluance spec showing 35Hz - 20KHz but in reality for flat response I measured 40Hz - 18KHz. Stereo image is very good, I can hear the instruments very clear at different locations in my room. For the price versus performance, look and sound, I had not seen any manufactures on the market beat these speakers.

Jon M November 24, 2018

Having a lot of 'expensive' hobbies, when I recently reignited my interest in audio, (including playing new and old vinyl), I searched far and wide for an affordable speaker that would provide good sound. After a lot of research, I settled on the Fluance Signature towers.I won't go into the packing details, which was decent; that has been reviewed by others. The speakers arrived quickly so, I am assuming that the customer service is good as well. I will get right into my review of the speakers.I am driving the speakers with a Yamaha A-S801BL Natural Sound Integrated Stereo Amplifier. I have a Project RPM 3 Carbon turntable and a Yamaha CD-S300BL Compact Natural Sound CD Player. The CD player has a USB port that allows me to play music from my laptop, iPad and iPhone.I have spent some time breaking in the speakers. I can't say I hear a big difference in the sound after playing them for around twenty hours. I realize that sound quality is subjective and mixes and engineering vary greatly but, I can't sense any consistency in these speakers. They provide moments of brilliance. Even within a single track. Then, they sound flat to me. Bass is not an issue. If anything, with few exceptions, there is too much bass. My room is large and I have them placed around three feet from the wall. I also have a back wall that serves well as a bass trap. These things just boom! Consequently, I find the mids and highs getting lost and the imaging or soundstage immensely suffers. With many songs, the vocals are washed out by the enormity of the bass. When the mids do hit, they sound great. But, as I stated, this is inconsistent. As for the tweeters, I have to say I find them to be inadequate. I am not a fan of ear-piercing highs but, these speakers seem to have trouble producing 'honest', or balanced highs.I, so much, want to like these speakers but, I am not feeling 'it'. I love the fact that I have thirty days to make a decision on whether or not I want to keep them so, I am going to give it a few more days. I will update this review at a later date. I may just need to step up and spend more for some other speakers. I really don't want to get into adding an equalizer to the mix. That is why I purchased my specific Yamaha amp. I also am not discounting others for reviewing the speakers highly. For some, these may hit the sweet spot and that is great. For what it's worth, this is my take.11/25/2018I spent several hours listening to these speakers today. I brought in my old twelve-year-old set of Energy Take 2 towers and A/B'd them. The Energy's definitely do not have the bass of the Fluance speakers but, the Energy towers blow the Fluance mids and highs away. When I ran the Fluance and Energy towers together with a NHT subwoofer, I was in heaven! The problem is, it looks ridiculous having four speakers sitting in front of my room. It really is a shame that the tweeters and, possibly the mid-range drivers do not live up to the bass drivers in these speakers. This could very well be a crossover problem. I'm going to be searching for something that does not require me to have four speakers in my setup.Update 12-17-2018I ended up returning the speakers. They just didn't work for me. Obviously, I am in the minority but, I just found the speakers to be too bass heavy (boomy) and the tweeters inadequate. They may be good AV speakers but they definitely didn't work for two-channel listening.

Indiana O November 19, 2018

After about three hours of breaking them in, what began as muddy bass cleared up completely. Unfortunately, the treble did not improve at the same time. The treble was strident and even tinny-sounding in places. I adjusted the treble on my receiver even to -6, but it did not improve the sound. At -8, the sound was completely ruined. Even though these speakers offer first-class bass reproduction, the tinny treble made them sound like cheap speakers. The booklet said that the break-in time was ten hours, but it only referred to the drivers. I called the company to see if a longer break-in period was necessary for the treble but only received the response that the break-in period was 10-12 hours. Perhaps if I had played them for 100 hours, they would have calmed down, but I am disabled and live in an apartment building. I go nowhere but the doctor's office and church. This is just not something I could accomplish, especially since I cannot bear the sound of them. I am sending them back.

Cynde November 8, 2018

Cannot beat these speakers for the money. They have excellent clear sound and well defined bass. They are not overly bright but have a slightly mellower sound. Even better then the old ADS speakers they replaced. For $700 these are a steal.

danitaly November 1, 2018

I want to apologize in advance for my poor writings but this review can help you if you decide to buy this item used. When I was checking for some speakers I stumbled in this item that was already a deal for the full price, but my budget wasn't close to the $700 ish of the new. I saw right below the option for used at $299. No description change when you click 'Used' but unfortunately, in reality, from the pair clicking this option you'll get only one. No where is mention except if you click the link that I posted with this review.I personally didn't clicked the link and didn't see anything that was leading me to think that was just one and super excited to save almost $400 I bought them. After one week the package was delivered at my step door ( I live at the second floor, no elevator) the package is 70 lbs for the single one, no easy to carry, a plus for the delivery guy!I did't realize right away that was just one, the box is huge, and I didn't really know what to expect at the time. But after opening the box I realized right away the mistake. I contacted the Amazon costumer service and with the representative we checked the advertisement together. He, of course, was the one that point me to the link with the options for the used one. In each case I thought that the mistake wasn't mine and with the idea of returning the speaker, no willing to pay for the returning expense. I called Fluance,( I bought this item used from the manufacture) Incredible costumer service very understanding and they offer me the returns package labels. Still no speakers in the house... I had just a tiny bluetooth device that is not what you want to ear when you are at home in your couch relaxing. So I thought to give it a shoot. What append the 5 minutes after can't be describe in words... just you to know the day after I called back Fluance and asked to cxl my returning labels. I'll be probably listening my favorite music until Xmas just out of one speaker BUT IS WORTH IT!

Beautiful in both appearance and performance. Warm natural sound output which complements my vinyl collection nicely. But the kicker here is the price excellent bang for the buck. Highly recommended. - Verified Store

kevin c May 4, 2018

It's easy to look past a product because it isn't a household brand name. Where I live no one seems to know brands other than Bose JBL Infinity etc. To put it in perspective I was able to get a full KEF surround sound set (center dipole surrounds front towers) for $400 because nobody around here knew how great a brand KEF is and the owner never got any offers. The seller had paid over $2500 for them new!

So when I had a little money burning a hole in my pocket earlier this year I took a chance on these beasts because I felt like trying something new and the reviews have been very positive. I have been quite pleased with the Fluance Signatures. Anyone having doubts just remember that Fluance will pay to cover return shipping for 30 days. You essentially get a free audition in your home!

It's great that they are bi-ampable; I was able to loop a CD for several hours per day with just the woofers connected to break them in. That paid off beautifully. The bass is very tight and not boomy at all. Even though the specs call for 90-200 watts I have only used a 75WPC Denon receiver and that is enough to shake all the walls in the house. I'm a firm believer in 'no replacement for displacement' so I would not have even bought these if they had only possessed a single 8' woofer. But those dual 8's... impressive! My KEF towers have dual 6.5's and you can hear the bass detail but not feel its presence. A/B testing against the Fluance was a great experience.

The mids and highs are articulated by a kevlar midrange and a soft done tweeter and they are accurate and never fatiguing even at high volume. These are great speakers for female voice jazz and any other music with a certain smoothness to it. But they will also rock when you need them to.

You don't really *need* a sub with these but at lower volumes you won't feel the subtle rumble of bass notes. For all their presence when cranked they are still 8' bass drivers and you can't change physics. Some amps and processors have low-volume bass compensation though so that's a consideration if you possess such equipment. I would suggest getting them broken in over a week or two and then evaluate the bass presence before rushing to pair them with a subwoofer.

The cabinets are solid and beautiful (and HEAVY). I regret not getting the walnut finish though. Glossy black is beautiful but 4 foot tall black speakers have zero 'wife acceptance factor.' They will never take up home in my living room no matter how much I plead. Oh how I miss the 1990's when this was the norm!

I'm not going to deduct points for the slightly annoying connection terminals because once you have the wires connected it's done and you don't worry about it again. But I strongly recommend banana plugs. Amazon sells speaker wire premade with banana plugs and it's not expensive.

In summary no these aren't the best speakers in the world. They aren't perfect and my 5-stars are taking into consideration the price point. For $700 with a completely risk-free 30 days you will have a VERY hard time finding a better deal! - Verified Store

Well packaged and arrived in good shape. Installed the floor stands very easy and hooked them up. Sound is outstanding! Sound stage presence is as advertised. and I will tell them $700 00... running theses speakers on a Yamaha 3070 9 2 surround sound LG Dolby Atmos sound bar and 2 subs and in my opinion this sounds better than a movie theater. - Verified Store

Not sure everyone is aware but if you bought the Fluance Signature tower before July 2017 you may have a defective crossover. As posted on the AVS forum about 6 months ago a reviewer found a cross over defect causing inappriate midrange freq and Fluance will correct the defect but only of buyer contact them. Apparently the entire first 6 months or so of shipments went out with this defect
I don't own these speaker but have heard them...likely the defective speaker and it was not very good. - Verified Store

I just started to set up a home entertainment/theater in my new house. I have been researching speakers for almost three months now. i used to have a Bose Cinemate...well actually i still have it...it was just relocated to the bedroom. Anyway, I just chanced upon Fluance from a youtube reviewer. Aside from the lifetime warranty and great reviews of its other speakers...What caught my attention was it is a Canadian Company. So one morning I just set up an acct and ordered these speakers. After two days of waiting...it arrived and my home entertainment/theater set up has begun. It's almost a month now since that time. And I'm still grinning from ear to ear every time i watch a movie or watch sports on tv. coz i can't believe how great these speakers sound. I don't even have a subwoofer yet and i still think i am not missing anything. I would say this purchase is one of the best i have made. My wife didn't even say a word when she first saw it. (Is this a good or a bad thing?) lol...Next up would probably be a center and/or a subwoofer and the surrounds.

These are really big. like REALLY big. Surprisingly big. Way bigger than the towers they're replacing They sound really good, though, with tons of bass and clear treble, an excellent addition to my hobbled together home theater - Verified Store

Avoid these speakers completely. First off, these speakers sound great. Really impressed with how smooth they sound and the bass response is excellent. However, if you run these w/o a subwoofer and play movies with bass, apparently Fluance says you must have AT LEAST 180w running to each tower. I have a 100wpc Onkyo TX-NR656 and was told by the Fluance rep that these speakers are not compatible with a 100wpc receiver, despite their rated power handling of 90-200 watts. What I get with movies is the bass has the woofers make loud popping noises. Here is a quote from the chat I had with the Fluance rep, Whitney.Whitney (9/27/2017, 2:50:24 PM): Please keep in mind these towers require upwards of 200 watts per channel, although you'll get sound out of them at 100w, it's not technically sufficient and not suggested for the towers to be run on anything lower than 180wMe (9/27/2017, 2:51:50 PM): Well that would exclude about 90% of all receivers. Hardly any receivers put out 180w per channel other than ones that are very high end.Me (9/27/2017, 2:52:28 PM): So you are saying they aren't compatible with a 100w receiver?Whitney (9/27/2017, 2:53:17 PM): Regrettably noI don't know of any receiver that outputs 180wpc in surround mode, let alone with 2 channels driven. So according to Whitney, the Fluance rep, they are lying about the power handling rating and you really need 180w per channel. Completely disappointed in Fluance and will be sure to never let anybody I know buy their products. - Verified Store

I was looking for some Floor Standing speakers to replace the surrounds that I have had since the late 1990's (AR's). In those days I was living in a condo and did not need the power. When I built my home in 2004 I used one of the bedrooms as a home theater with a projector and some in wall speakers provided by the builder. I like to keep a separate audio sound system just to listen to my lp's and cd collection. This setup was in my finished basement. I used my Bang and Olufsen (6500 series from mid 2000's) and Bose 901 (mid 2000's) speakers in my audio setup along with the AR surround speakers and sub woofer. The Pioneer Receiver that I bought had a 6 - speaker stereo option which when set up like a surround sound system, as far as placement is concerned, played back audio through all of the speakers. So each speakers best qualities is what you would here prominently. With that setup the B&O's and the Bose dominated the AR's, with the Bose spreading the music through reflection off the walls and the B&O firing the sounds straight at you. Great midrange and brilliant high's. The AR's produced those extra midrange sounds that the setup pushed to them. They were quite small so I decided to replace them with some large floor standing speakers. Thanks to all the reviews from verified purchasers I chose these. I read the reviews from those that had problems and the review from C-Net.com and what I discovered is that this is a company that really tries hard to satisfy its customers. Great customer service. They replaced these speakers that early adapters had purchased but which had problems. When some purchasers mentioned that the documentation was lacking they updated the documentation (there is now documentation for attaching the outriggers). The packaging was double boxed on the towers and triple on the front surround. Fluance even replies to the complaints listed on this site as reviews. And oh yeah, they sound great! I did also purchase some Polks floor standing speakers to add to my set-up and I am still trying to perfect my arrangement to get the best sound. Just wanted to express my appreciation to Fluance and the reviewers who took the time to help me make my decision. By the way these are some well built speakers with a beautiful finish. Sincerely. - Verified Store

WOW, great speaker for a great price! So beautiful looking, gloss finish looks like your looking in a mirror. Sound wicked when paired with the surround and center when watching movies and for a Canadian, the small Canadian flag on the back is a great touch!!

Paired with my vintage Marantz 2230 and a Yaqin MC13S tube amplifier, these speakers sound absolutely incredible. These speakers can handle all the power you need. They have crisp and detailed highs, formidable midrange, and plenty of deep, powerful bass. I'm very impressed and extremely happy with my decision to purchase these speakers. I'm a Fluance customer for life.

Zach M August 9, 2017

One of the speakers arrived broken. The woofer has a bad vibration and sounds terrible. Contacted customer support and I have to return the speaker to them to decide weather they are going to repair or replace. These speakers are huge, and it is a hassle to have to send the speaker back. They sound fine otherwise, but build quality is low. - Verified Store

After researching for months as to what speakers to buy for my new 2 channel stereo system, I considered some Klipsch and Polk Audio towers with similar specifications and I kept coming back to these Fluance towers. After reading numerous reviews and hearing the praises that people were giving them, I gave them a try. I figured it was a no-brainer, especially considering the price. When they arrived, I was surprised at the sheer weight and size of them. I mean you kind of know what to expect from the product description, but until you have to carry a pair of them up a flight of stairs, you really don't fully realize and appreciate the build quality. These are solid cabinets with high-quality connectors and the sound that resonates from them is just superb. As was mentioned in a previous review, you really don't have to adjust the bass, midrange, and treble with these. They sound very balanced and don't require a separate subwoofer. The two 8 inch woofers provide plenty of deep, tight bass and the highs and midrange are very crisp and detailed. The midrange is resounding but not overbearing.I'm driving these with a 40 watts x 2 channel Yaqin MC-13S amplifier with a Vintage Marantz 2230 receiver as the pre-amp. Through that, I'm listening to a Stanton T92 turntable with an Ortofon headshell and Ortofon 2M Red cartridge. These speakers seem to work very well with a tube amplifier. They produce a warm, rich, detailed sound and a nearly surreal soundstage with good depth and imaging. I have absolutely zero complaints about these speakers. I would definitely recommend these speakers to anyone, including discerning audiophiles. One more thing I'd like to note, is that I ordered on a Wednesday night and they were scheduled to arrive the following week between Tuesday and Thursday. Seeing as they were coming from New York and I live in Illinois,I figured oh well, a few days won't kill me. As it turned out, they arrived in less than 48 hours, on Friday. I was super happy with the quick delivery. - Verified Store

Another satisfied customer. Not much to add to already pretty comprehensive reviews, but here are few points worth noting:1) They really come alive after couple weeks of playing. I just would turn on online classical music radio station and go to work. After first three/ four days the difference was remarkable in overall sound quality.2) Sound quality compared to couple year old Sony floor-standing tower speakers also amazing. Better in every way. Sony will stay with subwoofer for movies, and Fluance will stay without sub-woofer for music listening in a different room.3) Not very power hungry, Driving them to house-shaking bass with Yamaha R-N602.4) These are first set of speakers, where I don't feel the need to adjust treble or bass. Just listening to music as-is and enjoying it. - Verified Store

Let me begin by stating that I own the entire Fluance Signature Series speaker system. These towers completed my home theater, which also include the matching center, bookshelves and bipolar surrounds. I also own their entry level bipolar surrounds (the AVBP2s, used in a different setup) as well as their newly released AB40 soundbase. I’ve been quite pleased with the Fluance products overall – I’ve been giving them plenty of business over the past couple of years. And before I get to the meat of this review, I can report that Fluance’s customer service (well, really Circus World Displays’ customer service – Fluance is just one of their brands) is top-notch. I probably made 10 orders with them over the course of 18 months before I finally ran into a quality control issue, and that was with the AB40 soundbase, which arrived damaged. However, they quickly responded to my e-mail and I received a pristine replacement within days. And with that I’ll get my review. Once these arrived, it probably took me close to two hours to get these inside of my house and upstairs to my theater room as they are absolutely massive. But, that’s also with me doing all of the work as I didn’t have any help. The other setup issue (if you plan to buy these and have a go at these alone like I did), is the installation of the floor spikes. There was no installation documentation included, and while I was able to determine what needed to be done by handling them, it was really difficult – almost impossible for one person. What’s worse is, once I got them up and running, one of the speakers was defective, exhibiting loud pops & crackles coming from the midrange woofer even at low volumes. And this was not the crossover issue that plagued these speakers when they were initially released – this midrange speaker was just a lemon. Normally, this wouldn’t be that big a deal as long as you’ve got some experience with the company, but having to re-box one of these and find a way to get it to UPS to send it back was a real chore. But, with that said, once again, their customer service quickly responded to my e-mail, sent me a paid return shipping label (which, I think was nearly $80), and had my replacement on the way within a day or two. The replacement arrived pristine, just like the other one I had waiting in my theater room. The attractiveness of these speakers, given their enormous size, is pretty remarkable. The craftsmanship and build quality are very good – but the rest of the Fluance Signature Series speakers share these qualities, aside from size. You’ll definitely need plenty of space if you plan on purchasing these.I’ve learned to tame my initial expectations when it comes to auditioning Fluance speakers. They really do take some time to break in. I think this is generally true for most speakers, but in my experience, it’s more extreme with Fluance speakers. The Signature Series center, bookshelves, and bipolars all took at least 50 hours of airplay before I began to notice sonic improvement and those speakers really didn’t fully open up until nearly 100 hours. These floor speakers, however, didn’t take quite as long to break in. Initially, they weren’t bad, but the two 8-inch woofers were pretty stiff. So, I did what I’ve always done with their speakers – as I left for work each morning beginning on a Monday, I cued up a song in repeat mode and played it at moderately high volume until I returned home from work, about 10 hours of continuous play per day. By the end of the week, they were really sounding nice, perfect for my taste. I prefer a laid back, warm sounding speaker that can also provide a balanced midrange with some clean, airy highs that aren’t overly harsh or fatiguing. That’s exactly what these are to my ears. The rest of the Signature Series, in my opinion, is more suited for home theater than for music. However, these towers perform equally well with both and perhaps even better with two-channel music. I use these as my fronts in home theater, but also for my two-channel music (driven by a different amp) and they are definitely full-range speakers that have a nice soundstage. If they’re paired with some clean power, I think you’ll really enjoy these. The final thing I’ll mention is regarding the stock bi-wiring jumper that’s included with each speaker. There was nothing about the jumper that screamed “cheap” to me and I had been enjoying the sound of these for weeks with the stock jumpers. But I came across some quality jumpers on Amazon for $30 (for the set of four, two for each of these towers) and thought for that price, I’d take the chance. I hate to even admit that the replacement jumpers made any difference at all, because I never buy into snake oil like that. But…. they really, REALLY did make a considerable difference and this was after the break-in period. If you’re considering these Fluance towers and want to know which jumpers I purchased, just post a comment to my review and I’ll respond.I was close to giving these towers five stars, but I took away a star due to three factors: 1) The floor spikes are poorly designed, have no installation documentation, and are virtually impossible to install alone, especially if you’re anal (like me) when it comes to getting something completely level; 2) despite my praise for the Fluance customer service, the fact that I had endure the return process for a speaker this large was really a big headache; not only do you need help getting the speaker unboxed and then re-boxed, you have to find a way to transport it to a UPS location and you’ll need a truck or a van, neither of which I have; 3) the fact that replacing the stock jumpers made as a big a difference as it did makes me wonder about their attention to detail. I’m unsure if the stock jumpers are that bad, or if the replacements are just that good. Only time will tell.I can wholeheartedly recommend these speakers though. Be prepared to do some leg-work and have some patience when it comes to setup and break-in time. In the end, they are definitely worth it. And you can rest assured knowing that Fluance will take care of your concerns should issues arise. - Verified Store

I paired this with Parasound P5 preamp + Pass Labs X150, that led to really Dull Sound; I paired with Yamaha A-S2000 bi-wired & Yamaha SACD2000; the sound comes to live in 3-D : so detail, so balanced; not where the B&W is, but 9-10 comparable. Amazing Sound for the price. Note: a pair of B&W 805 N with a pair of B&W ASW10CM S2 for L&R Bass. ($5000 for 805N & $3000 for a pair of ASW10CM S2) and about the same sound quality of the $700 of Fluance Signature. Update: It's very weird to say this when a pair of $799 speaker being hooked up with a pair of $500 MIT Terminator series speaker cable, but the Cable can do magic to open the sound stage, the mid-range & the bass. I am bringing home a pair of POLK LISM 705 speakers ($3000/pair) & B&W 802 N to compare and update the review soon. - Verified Store

Was so excited to get these speakers. Unpacked them and wow looked so great. Beautiful speaker overall. Plugged them into my Onkyo receiver and huge disappointment. Bass is good long as you don't push the woofers to hard. Will pop and blow. Mids are really disappointing. Tweeters are OK. Can't handle much power like Klipsch or infinites I have had. So sad I wanted them to be great.

Excellent sound quality, awesome looking speaker, lifetime warranty, what else can I say? The more I listen to them the better they get. Do not hesitate you will not regret buying these speakers, the price and performance cannot be matched. Thanks Fluance for an awesome product!

These speakers are huge and heavy so consider this only if its fits your room

After months of searching, reading reviews, and going back and forth, I must say these are quality speakers!! Need playing time to open them up. Also proper position is crucial move them away from the wall with slight toe in is best. You have to experiment with position for best sound. But when u do ohhhhh boy!!!!! The sound stage, detail and depth are amazing. I have them powered by an HK 240 and an adcom gfa 545 power amp bi wired. Source is. Dell xps studio laptop with an Audio Engine D1 external dac, along with a Sony es model sacd player. Very good looking and sounding floor towers... u have to break them in though... - Verified Store

What can I say other than if you're holding off for any reason, don't! These speakers are just out of the box, they sound and look absolutely amazing, I couldn't be happier with my decision.

Darron B February 5, 2017

What such great build quality! When getting these and watching numerous online reviews (and I mean numerous) I knew or thought I knew what I expected to get. After getting these writhing 7 days from ordering which is great directly from Flurance weighing 65lbs each, unpacking them I knew these were going to be great sounding if the same quality that went into their build went into their sound. So, the sound side of things...I can't say enough, I will caution that I don't have an amp to drive them to full power yet and that will come. I have set them up in bipolar and same pole settings. If you can drive these with a 4 wire (12 gauge is what I had) they sound incredible when splitting or combining the poles. I'll update this after getting my Crown amps in. When running seperate poles as described above the two 8inch drivers were doing a better job than my sub, the high frequencies were also spot on and filled the room without over powering the mids. Great speakers for the price! - Verified Store

The value for money is outstanding. I needed some speakers for audio only and didn't have space for a sub so went on the search for a pair of towers. I dont bi-amp these and they're driven off an aging Yamaha RX reciever. Bass response is great, mid and high range good. No listening fatigue so far (which was a concern given the comments on the cross over issues these speakers had early on).Take care with assessing the size of these speakers. They're enormous (which may seem strange considering my comments on not having space for a sub ). Reassuringly heavy too. - Verified Store

5 stars – Great value with excellent musical fidelity
We originally purchased the Signature tower floor speakers in February 2016 directly from Fluance, (as you can get a 10% discount buying direct from Fluance). This was prior to Fluance upgrading this speaker with a better crossover, which was done as of September, 2016. The upgraded crossover made a significant improvement to their sound. Initially we had mixed feelings about the sound, mainly involving the mid range, and we read about this issue on various forums. We contacted Fluance who assured us they were upgrading these Signatures, and they promised to upgrade our speakers at no cost to us when it was ready. They were true to their word, and we now have them back and they are indeed much improved. Please be aware that IF you are reading reviews about these speakers, you may be reading about the older models sold before September, 2016. Here are our findings on them now:
These Signature towers now sound quite nice with excellent overall musical fidelity. They present music in a balanced and neutral manner while maintaining enough excitement and clarity so that voices and instruments are clear and detailed enough to make it quite enjoyable. The sound stage is fairly wide, and the instruments are heard distinctly enough that it can almost sound live if the source material is good enough and you have them set up properly. You can hear subtle things, such as the ring of guitars, piano notes are natural sounding and music is never fatiguing or exaggerated. Details such as the wind and airiness of a flute, the strings of a violin, the snap of a snare drum and other instruments are distinct and natural sounding.
The lower end is good for tower speakers, nearly good enough to avoid a sub woofer if you are on a budget, (though a good sub woofer does improve things, especially with movies). The mids and highs are spacious and natural in tone. The overall musical detail is very nice, and even older analog recordings can sound very good. They do well with both music and movies, making movies exciting while keeping music natural enough to sound like it should without too much coloration or exaggeration.
We have noticed subtle details in music we did not hear before, even on fairly decent speakers. It makes you want to re-listen to your music collection. Somehow they are able to have a mellow and natural sound while maintaining good detail and excitement without exhibiting the usual drawbacks of some brighter speakers, such as unbalanced or fatiguing sound characteristics. They just sound “right”.
Another quality of these speakers is that they are beautiful in appearance. They fit in well in a living room environment if larger speakers are not an issue, but be warned, they are 4 feet tall. They also come with magnetic detachable grills, so you can easily show off the nice looking drivers if you wish. Some listeners prefer to have the grilles removed.
Like with real estate, location is important with any speaker, so experiment a bit with placement to get the best sound from them. I think they will sound best with the listener being at least 6 feet away from them. If you are in a small area they may be too close to disperse the sound to your ears properly. They need a little space to sound their best.
PROS: Very nice overall balanced sound with excellent musical fidelity, and a smooth response across the spectrum. They can also play very loud without distortion and handle power well. They do both movies/home theater and music equally well. They can also be bi-amped, (Delivering a separate signal to bass drivers and to the mid and tweeter section for possible improved sound). They are an excellent value at their price point. They have a 30 day in home listening trial period. Further, they have a life time warranty. They have good customer support, (as they updated our speakers for free after 8 months use). They are quite attractive. The magnetic grills are a nice touch, (despite a prior professional review stating they lacked grills). They seem to sound great with virtually anything thrown at them, and do well with both good source material and older analog recordings.
They can be used without a sub woofer, potentially saving you money.
CONS: These are minor, but worth noting. The magnetic grill can be easily knocked off if bumped hard, (such as a toddler ramming into them). The wiring terminals can be difficult for regular wiring due to the supplied jumpers being thick and the design of the terminals. I opted to just use my 12 gauge speaker wire to jump the terminals, which solves that issue and works fine. You can also use banana plugs, I just prefer bare wiring.
OVERALL: These Signature towers are a great value as they have really nice balanced sound with great musical fidelity. They are attractive and fit in well with most décor. They appear to have good build quality, and they have a life time warranty. They have enough punch and lower end to use without a sub woofer, though you may prefer a decent sub woofer with them. They really bring out good musical detail and seem to do almost everything well, (such as rock, classical, jazz, folk, pop, movies, etc). They are a good value at their price point. I think most people will be impressed with them. Happy listening.

The sound quality is terrific, price point is excellent. They are big and heavy but the sound quality it definitely hard to beat.

I can't imagine finding other speakers with a better price point and sound quality.

Bought a pair in February and had to send it back because the sound in the midst was terrible -Verified Store

i was looking to replace my paradigm speakers for my home theatre. I reviewed paradigm reference and Martin Logan but decided to acquire the Fluance signature series speakers and centre channel. The sound is incredible. From ordering to delivery Fluance exceeded expectations. Ordering was simple and delivery occurred earlier than the promised delivery date. The sound dynamics are superb especially at low volume. I highly recommend these speakers great value for high end sound quality. I plan to replace my paradigm powered subwoofer with the signature series subwoofer.

OMG!! I purchased the bookshelves a month ago just to see what the Signature series was all about. Well, when I saw and heard the bookshelves, I was compelled to buy the floorstanding towers.

All I can say is WOW. Irregardless of price point being a factor, these speakers are, hands down, the best I've heard. And when you factor in that I only paid a little over $700 for a pair, begs to question "Why buy any other speaker?". They sound that good!!

The cabinets are very well made, heavy, with no hint of any shortcuts in the construction. Piano gloss at the front and walnut finish on the sides and back make it very pretty to look at. The drivers complete the look. If for any reason you want to hide the drivers, magnetic grills are part of the package. Around back, you will find gold plated binding posts which can be bi-amped.

DON'T WAIT. Buy these now before Fluance decides to raise the price again!! ($799/pair as of this writing)
