Open room, less than 15 feet from pc to tv. Got horrible audio with choppy image.
-
Superb HDMI transmission of audio & video from my FIOS set top box to my kitchen TV. You can download all three available manuals from the WEB. Technically a great product with outstanding performance.

when it works, great product but I am on on my 5th one in 3 years. last 4 not one of them lasted a full year. yeah I'm a glutton for punishment buy one after another but as I said, when it works it great.
Sent and email about my concerns on the last 4. Got a response to get a Fan to kept it cooler oh and not over 50 ft from laptop to TV (mine is 15 ft away. I give them credit though they replied fast just nothing worthwhile in their email.
Should I have taken out the extended warranty? Yep I should have but with each of the other 4 I thought this one will last longer than the other one. I was wrong and now $1000 in spent the extra 22 bucks for the warranty -
Did not work. I could see the letters "HDMI CH7" in an intermittent pattern on the screen but I could not see any video - and I tried many various methods to get the video to the screen but to no avail.
It became more difficult than the problem I was trying to solve. I don't like to struggle with technology. It should be seamless and immediate.
I'll return it when I get home today. -
Ordered a new unit; last one beginning to cause trouble after 5 years. Connected system (to iPad) and got no signal on screen. Tried several maneuvers to try to get system to work - no success. Was about to return the unit as "DOA" but messed with the connectors. I had ordered and received 3 connectors USB-C to HDMI. Turns out, 2 of the 3 connectors are nonfunctional. Using the one good connector, the Nyrius system works fine. Glad I did not make a fuss and send it back.

Recently relocated my AV equipment into another room and rather than running HDMI through my walls I opted to try this out. It connected immediately and ran perfect, with no noticeable lag. Unfortunately after finalizing my mounting, I started to realize that the receiver runs extremely hot and is significantly affected by temperature, causing artifacts on the screen. Any mounting of the receiver on any hard surface (vertically) doesn't seem to give enough air flow. Back of the TV, wall, etc, all cause issues.I'll have to figure out some other method to mount it, but be warned.
-
I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt here. Maybe the receiver is too close to my wireless router (10 feet or so). Maybe my wireless VR headset (HTC vive) is interfering. I don't know, but I do know I tried this on several computers and it's extremely unstable. The video feed flashes in and out. My TV stops detecting the HDMI device on and off. My computers stops detecting the device on and off. It's like I'm at the computer plugging and unplugging a new monitor and also at the television plugging and unplugging the HDMI source. For reference both devices are in the same room. I got an close as a few feet between transmitter and receiver; and as far as 30ish feet. Same result at any distance. No change with unobstructed line of sight between the two either. It just doesn't work in my house. Maybe I got a faulty set?
-
I use this to connect my gaming PC to my 50" TV in the living room about 10 feet away. This dongle does not need line of sight to opperate. Occasionally I will get a slight graphical glitch (once every 2 or 3 sessions) but I think it has to do with overheating, which leads me to the most important point: Unplug the power when not in use! My smart TV automatically turns on the reciever and leaves it on while watching TV, which was overheating it when not in use.
-
Connected this from my TV that's installed over a fireplace to my A/V receiver which is about 6' away and it works perfectly. Initially I had the receiver (the part that's connected to the TV) connected to USB power on the TV. I had to reset the connection each time I turned on the TV. Now, after trialing for a few days, I connected it to the power outlet and that issue has gone away. The transmitter is also plugged to permanent power using an iphone charger plugged into the wall.I permanently mounted the receiver behind the TV and noticed some interference. After disabling the TV WiFi the interference went away. My Apple TV is connected directly to the network via CAT 5 cable.Hope this helps for anyone looking for a solution that avoids tearing up the drywall to run an HDMI cable.
-
We had 12 of these and after 2 years they all started to not connect.
-
The unit fails to connect the majority of the time and is temperamental
-
Ordered it because I had installed another in for my Conference Room and it resolved all the issues with being cabled. Picture quality, sound all transmitted seamlessly.
-
Best wireless HDMI out there. Good range. Good size. Spend the money and do it right
-
There are better and more reliable options. We own three of these units in a small conference room and just went back to an HDMI cable. These would stop working, become unpaired, flicker or stop transmitting all the time. The pairing process is painful and the documentation online is outdated and does not fully match the product.
-
I've had the prime for around 7 years now and it still works fine. It is zero latency so that is true as advertised but it's completely false that it can transmit up to 30 feet. Anything over 15 feet it starts to drop out and you get Minecraft or Mario-like boxes all over the screen. Other than the fact the distance is less than advertised it's great.
-
Direct line of sight and the receiver kept cutting out. Also the receiver gets so hot that it becomes a fire hazard. I returned this to the vendor however I did have to pay return shipping cost. Save yourself the time and money and get a long H DMI cable
-
Works as advertised! Super easy set-up and no latency whatsoever.
-
It never did start or work consistently. When it was good it was great. But, I wouldn't trust it for professional use outside the home. After about 9 months it became even more inconsistent; sometimes going out for days - despite re-pairing. Finally, it just stopped completely. Going to the company website I was unable to find a phone number or an email address for "lifetime customer support." I am now very happy with my purchase of the #1 competing product.
-
We installed a TV, in our conference room, to replace the ceiling projector. We also wanted to replace the cables with a wireless solution. I chose the Nyrius unit because it's a simple plug and play solution that does not require any software drivers.Setup is easy. The transmitter and receiver already come paired. There is a procedure to pair the units, if needed. The receiving unit is small enough that I Velcro'ed it to the back of the TV. I installed the power cable and ran the included HDMI cable from the unit to the TV's HDMI1 input. The transmitter plugs into the laptops HDMI port. There is an included 1' USB-A cord that plugs into an open USB port on the laptop to provide power to the receiver. My laptop only has 1 USB-A port. I found that the HDMI port and the only USB-A port were to close together. The kit does include a 90 degree HDMI adapter which angles the receiver and allows me to use the USB port that would normally be obstructed. After plugging in the receiver the TV displayed the laptop screen image within 5-8 secs at 1080p.There is no video or audio lag. We played videos and the video/audio were synced perfectly. This unit is rated for max distance of 30' which is the max distance of our conference room. No issues, even at the farthest point.I would recommend this unit.Good purchase.

Get the Pro + and pay the extra....worth it.
-
This product doesn’t work unless you have perfect conditions and the transmitter is only a few feet away from the receiver. Don’t waste your time with this product.
-
got 'em, thanks
-
Easy to set up and configure. Includes a handy right angle HDMI adapter which was necessary to plug in the USB power. Tested in a tv less than 6ft away and video and audio were clear, however the signal dropped every 30 seconds or so for less than a second, but it was definitely noticeable. Move the tv across the room (15 ft unobstructed) to where it would be placed and the video showed white dots all over the screens NDA the audio was choppy. Returning for a stronger unit.
-
I am not sure is this product under one year warranty or not. I order it to avoid the long HDMI cable however we only use it since July and only few uses a month then it is stop working last month. Is anyone has the same issue?
-
Have had this product for a few years now. Has never really worked consistently and it's only about 4 feet apart with no obstructions between to interfere. Sometimes you will get a pretty clear picture but most of the time it's pixelated, interrupted or just flat out not working. Hasn't really been worth the money.
-
Just a completely useless product. Loses connection between the transmitter and receiver each use. Horrible and just a waste of money.
-
I have been trying to cast from my Laptop which is NOT Miracast capable.to my Smart TV , for a long time.. I have tried many adapter which were supposed to work but did not. This item arrived in a couple of days, took less than five minutes to install, works as described. Would recommend this to anyone trying to cast from a Non Miracast capable Laptop to a TV. There are other item out there that may work but they are not HDMI capable.
-
The product worked flawlessly for 3 months and then the receiver would not connect with the transmitter. Tried different remedies. None worked.
-
Great product and worked as promised. "Cut the cord" and enjoying the freedom of a "floating" TV console.
-
Really difficult to set up as my product didn't appear to come paired to it's own receiver. I attempted to plug the transmitter into my Nintendo Switch dock, but the transmitter is very bulky, and frankly, old fashioned which for a product of this price is unacceptable. It refuses to transmit a signal to the receiver unless there is a perfect line of sight, and even then the connection is unstable. It did not work with my Switch, and only occasionally works with a laptop. Would not recommend.

Firstly, I am professional film director and cinematographer with experience on major motion pictures and tv. I have extensive experience with wireless audio/video and, respectfully, likely more technical expertise with video equipment that 99.99% of people. That said I was not able to get this to transmit a stable picture for more than a few minutes at a time. I bought this to transmit video from our Facebook Portal TV to our AV receiver to get around the problem of not being able to send video through a one-way fiberoptic HDMI cable from our TV to our AV Receiver. As I said, it's just to get a Facebook Portal to work with and stay in sync with our AV Reciever - we don't need something super high-end for job. We just need it to work with an acceptable and stable picture. Picture was pixelated at best with full blackouts every few minutes, at a distance of approx 10 feet. The only obstructions were our LG OLED TV and an Onkyo AV Receiver. Yes, there was likely interference from a nearby WIFI router and various other electrical equipment, but that is normal stuff to have in the environment in which this should operate flawlessly. It's simply not fit for purpose and I shall be returning it in search of a better option.
-
Device unpaired and won't repair. No trouble shooting options. No replacement. Now it's just useless junk.
-
Works great and the delivery was super fast ! Thank you !!!
-
I don't leave reviews often but I have to for this!!! Seller was great! Shipped quickly. Wireless HDMI is exceptional!!! Blew my expectations out of the water. Wasn't sure if it would have lag when I used it for gaming from my PC to my TV but there has been none so far. It was extremely easy to set up. Took only a minute or two and it was up and running. Highly recommend!!!!
-
Terrible quality picture
-
Installed it as per the manual: no intervening appliances (especially routers), walls, anything. It had a direct line of sight. It would work intermittently at 15 feet (laser measured), and no further. The specs on it says it works up to 30 feet. That is a lie.Heads up: you're not supposed to use it less than 6 feet apart, either. If you're using it for a setup in that tiny sweet spot it might work for you, but I'd recommend waiting until the tech gets better.
-
I am using this to project my work laptop to my TV. When it works it works great. Unfortunately I have problems every day with it cutting out for no reason, then cutting back in or not at all. I find myself having to get up and power cycle the base, and the hdmi connector, several times per day.
-
Fast delivery. 3 days earlier from the schedule. Tested and worked well. It is a recommended product.
-
works well just not as long as I believe it should but then that's just my thoughts. I am on my 3rd purchase of this type unit. first two worked great for about 2 years each then they just stopped working and had to be replaced. Must be worth my money as I said above, my 3rd one:)
-
I would absolutely recommend this. I purchased it because I'm one of those weird people that likes to buy physical game cartridges instead of digital downloads, but I got sick of having to get up and go to the other side of the room whenever I wanted to swap games. And now life is so much more convenient.
While I did run into some technical difficulties at first, Nyrius's customer support team was fantastic. They were patient with me, and made everything right, and I couldn't be more pleased with both their product and their support.
Definitely a 5 star product! -

Works perfectly as expected. Only problem was the delivery of a US power connection that does not work in Australia.
-
great product, works as described. would have loved to see a more solid construction (i may be wrong) it feels cheap, but it does what it's intended to do, so i'm happy. Does appear to have very very slight lag when streaming. Overall a good product. i appreciate you want to keep prices competetive.
-
This is the second product i have purchased the first one overheated the aries pro plus the best model i thought almost caused a fire in my home, after doing research i purchased this one. Worked a few times now out of return date i am stuck with a broken product.
-
It advertises 30ft, but it went about half the distance and got pixalated and lost audio. Buyer beware.
-
from DISH box to TV. you should let me talk to you by phone
-
These are terrible. They work sometimes, but often take 15-20 minutes to connect from 15 feet apart. I [put them where they are no where near any other transmittable type items and in direct line with each other and they are horrible. I would actually prefer a wire hanging across my room to these horrible items. I bought two of them and they are both the same.
-
like it
-
This product works, it gives a nice picture and no lag. HOWEVER!!! They advertise this product as having a 30ft signal range, but what they don't tell you up front is that the receiver and the transmitter should be at least 6ft away from each other if there are OTHER WIRELESS SIGNALS. That includes your WIFI router. Which LITERALLY EVERYONE HAS!! So basically, I just bought a $200 wireless 6ft HDMI cable...not a 30ft. VERY MISLEADING!!!! Product is not anywhere near worth $200, more like $20, cause that is the price range it performs. $20 is even pushing it. Don't believe any of the positive reviews. You can look up the Nyrius website reviews and you'll get a better idea of what I mean. Avoid this product!
-
Was given tis as a gift around christmas (ordered december 2nd)..worked well for about 2 days with a pc. As soon as i hooked it up to my cable box realized the dongle didn't turn off when no HDMI signal was broadcast to it. Heat is a major issue! Moving graphics were terrible. One day I heard a pop, since then It completely doesn't work. Hooked it back to a pc and it wasn't detected as a display just "TEST DEVICE" and is now completely unresponsive. Confused my television's HDMI detection. Be Careful With this one!!!!
-
Clear line of sight of 114" fail!I reconfigured my den such that my TV would hang on the wall on one side of room and DVD and Directv reciever would be on NINE and a HALF feet opposite wall. So I purchased two of these units. We are talking 114" clear line of sight with about 25 degrees off axis. ABSOLUTELY nothing between the xmtr and rcvr except air. Yeah, you get a picture. But it is miserably unstable. Video would stutter or pixelate at various intervals. Tried both units with similar results. Purchased JTECH-WEX200. Solid thus far.
-
Easy setup. Worked fine for a couple of days, then the picture and sound started glitching and occasionally went back. I moved the receiver closer to the transmitter to achieve line-of-sight but it didn't help. Disappointing because the TV looked great with no cables showing.
-
Couldn't get to connect. Returned back
-
Absolute waste of money. Only connects 33% of the time.can sometimes spend a whole day with no luck at a connection only 8 feet away!! I hate this thing
-
Great picture and function for 13 months. Now it can't find a signal.
-
I do not recommend this product. The receiver connected to the TV and the transmitter connected to the cable box are approximately 12 feet apart with direct line-of-sight between the devices. 50% of the time the picture on the television is pixelated, which makes it unwatchable. I've put up with the poor performance of this device for 15 months and have decided to trash it and try a solution from another manufacturer. No excuse for such poor performance in a simple setup and at such an incredibly high price for this technology.
-
This device handles what I need it for. I have a Nintendo Switch wirelessly connected by the Nyrius to a television about 9 feet. There are no walls. Gameplay is perfect. I'm happy with it.However, I did test the range through a wall at about 14 feet and I wasn't impressed.
-
We recently purchased this unit for our Conf Room here at the office and it has worked well the handful of times we have used it. Our Conf Room is only 20ft deep so there was no need to get the Pro version.
I tested with my PC laptop and had no issues. My boss tested with his 2019 MacBook and it work as well; he needed to get a USB-C to HDMI adapter that also had a standard USB connection to power the unit itself.
No lag and video looked very good! It was recommended by the guys at Unbox Therapy on YouTube so I had to give it a shot and I'm very happy we did. -

We could not get the product to lock a signal from our Macbook Pro to the projector. When we called Support, they said we couldn't make the connection from the HDMI to mini display port-- that the Aries Prime would only work with a Mac that has an HDMI port. Funny, it works with every other type projector device...
-
Our company has been through 2 of these now and we won't be using them again. As the IT manager I set them up and assisted during meetings with using them. Let me tell you, multiple times these pieces of junk fail during meetings and presentations. There's not much to them, sync and connect. Well after several months both stop transmitting an hdmi signal all together. I tried resetting, resyncing, changing cables, nothing works. These are junk and the newer one looks like a lesser quality build than the old one. Absolutely find something else, especially for the price.
-
I got this transmitter so that I could connect my laptop to my TV wirelessly with no lag. And it DOES do that - the picture quality is excellent and I cannot detect any input lag. However, I really have to jump through all kinds of hoops to make this thing work. For example, when I first turn on my TV, it never finds the signal. After MUCH trial and error, I have found only one sure-fire way to actually make this thing turn on. Here's my procedure:1. Turn on both TV and Laptop with both the transmitter and receiver plugged in2. Wait at least 2 minutes (during which time there will be no signal)3. Unplug the USB power for the transmitter and plug it back inThat works every time. But do you really want a device that forces you to wait 2 minutes whenever you want your TV on? That could be a deal breaker for some people...Additionally, after the device turns on, I sometimes get garbled audio. This only happened to me once or twice (after using the device some 20 to 30 times now), and it only happens for maybe 30 seconds just after the signal kicks in. Still, I don't like that unpredictability. I wouldn't want that happening in the middle of a movie or something.Overall I think this device works for my needs, since once it "warms up" it consistently works just fine with no problems for hours on end. Considering that this was on the cheaper side for wireless HDMI transmitters, I feel like I got what I paid for. I wouldn't recommend this device, but it does work.
-
This item doesn't work loos the image wen you are using please save your money I don't have the original box to send it back
-
Happy with purchase
-
Gets hot then become grainy. Keep the reciever cool your should be fine.
-
Tried everything possible to make it work but it would not communicate
-
Product worked great but stopped working after 15 uses. Now I am trying to get it replaced or refunded and getting the run around about it. I purchased 3 all together and the other 2 are working fine. Great product just needs to be back up with a warranty more than 30 days.
-
Great product, price and delivery
This Nyrius Aries Prime Transmitter and Receiver is a no-brainer. I received it on time and took it out of its box, attached transmitter/HDMI to my iPhone and receiver/HDMI to my tv. Chose the HDMI source on my tv, turned on the receiver, then the transmitter and got immediate results. I’ve had virtually no problems with signal or lag in about 12 hours of use. My units are about 10’ apart and I’m viewing on a recent model LG tv.
Full endorsement and recommendation. -
This unit worked okay for a while but then the unit started to overheat and then would constantly lose connection. Would unplug both the transmitter and unit itself to let cool down. Plug it all back in and it would work again until it got to hot. This company should really figure out what the deal is with this unit to make sure it's consumer safe and doesn't pose a fire/safety risk. The transmitter and unit sit approximate 8 feet apart with nothing in the way, obstructing it's data transmittal.
-
The product seems to work so far, but there is a 10-15 second delay every time I select the HDMI input on a projector or video screen. I bought this product as alternative to having to run cable, I expected an immediate connection, but that has not been the case. 15 seconds can be a long time to stand and wait for your presentation to come up if everyone is looking at you and waiting for you to start.
-
after 5mins of using it, an annoying radio icon will show up on TV screen. spent 2 days with different methods and followed manual for preventing interference and shorten the distance.. however the icon will just show up no matter what. Contacted with their tech support and was told to press the info button. but again, it only works for 5mins, after 5mins problem shows up again. I thought I bought the best option available, now it turns into biggest nightmare........
-
It worked fine then started having issues. It will go to a static display occasionally. I don’t know why. I have to turn my theater system off and back on in order for it to reset. Has anyone else had this issue?
-
I was weary because of reviews about interference, but we haven't experienced any except when the pet sits on the playstation that it's connected to. We live in a metropolitan area and a condo with units on all sides and no trouble.
-
These are so great and have made presenting so much easier at our company. They were so easy to install and use.
-
I used it in our RV for the mid TV. It works great. The HDMI cable went bad. I am a happy camper!
-
I like the idea of the product, not the electronic quality. Other forums complain about product failures. My purchase is no different. Still waiting for Nyrius response to replacement question.
-
The Nyrius Aries Prime Wireless Video HDMI Transmitter & Receiver works as I expected it to.I don't know how 'Remote Control' would apply and I didn't use Tech Support.Set up ( from Nyrius standpoint) was simple. However, figuring out how to get my PC settings to work with the transmitter was a chore.
-
The theory behind this device is a good one, however a main selling point is that it eliminates the eyesore of wires/cables running up your wall. However, the need for a power cable to plug into your wall socket kind of defeats the purpose. You’re almost better off buying a mounting kit and running your cables behind the wall. That way you don’t have to rely on wireless technology and you’re cables will still be hidden. Good idea though.
-
Not a reliable system not much else to say. It would work one day and not the next; no need to write an analyst or tech review.
-
Used it to feed my PC screen from the living room to my bedroom for those Netflix sessions in bed
-
I was disappointed that the range is so limited. Mine is less than 15 feet apart and the sound is often chirpy. For the price, I was expecting a better picture and sound transmission. Thought interference might be the cause, but it performed the same in other parts of the house at similar distance.
-
I had it 2 years, it worked sometimes, sometimes no.Recently I bought the new Macbook pro 15' and Pluged it on, it doesn't work at all, I've done everything resting, etc.Nothing at all.
-
The product was easy to set up and works great.
-
It worked as advertised and there was seemingly 0 latency, but both pieces need to be plugged in and that was really annoying. Pictures don't indicate this and I didn't read it in reviews. Had I known I wouldn't have bought it.
-
I'm a filmmaker and to do monitoring wireless is can be very useful when operating camera remotely and you get to see what is being filmed up close. However the need of additional power source to power up the transmitter and reciever add additional rigging of batteries to get the whole thing to work and sometimes this can be a bit of a nightmare if you are short of time and you are one man band. If it can draw the power source from the camera or device it is attached to or optional internal battery powered even if it last just 30 mins that would be useful.
-
I have Orbi ac3000 tri-band mesh router with 2 satellite nodes at home. In addition to using 5ghz for connecting to devices it uses this frequency for connecting between satellite nodes. The only way i was able to get the Nyrius device to work was by shutting down the router. Then the device worked really well.Manufacturer should state that device may get overwhelmed by a wifi router operating in 5Ghz spectrum. I am in process of returning Nyrius and in the meantime got a 60ghz Monoprice BlackBird Pro device instead, which has no such problems.
-
Junk. 92 days after I received it, crapped out and I can’t return it
-
Item didn’t work out of the box and was returned. The transmitter/receiver wouldn’t pair, even after multiple attempts of manual pairing as outlined at the manufacturers website.
-
I have one of these at home and two at work. At Home, they are good for playing internet Video from Youtube or any other platform because you can easily load Adblock on your laptop and skip all the commercials. That is harder to load Adblock on a smart TV. At work, it is great for training videos, powerpoint presentations, or whatever you need to display from your laptop at any meetings. It doesn't need any software so anyone coming in from outside your company can use it to do training, all you need is a laptop with HDMI port and a powered USB port to give a presentation.
-
I have purchased 4 Nyrius products in the past 1.5 years. I have had to replace two of them. I am not sure if this product is designed for high usage or if it's a personnel issue, as in not taking the appropriate care of the pieces. This is a 24/7 operations center and it's used nearly daily. Still, a very good and handy product!
-
I purchased this product in July of 2018 to stream video across my living room from my cable box to my TV. The cable box is a Arris device from the cable company, the TV is 2010 Sony Bravia. About two months ago we got an annoying pop-up that basically said you cable box couldn't determine the HDCP (an encryption protocol over HDMI) context and pasted a nasty box over the image. In the last month (April 2019) it's gotten worse and now we get no video from the transmitter. Instead we get the black screen that shows you that the transmitter is connected to the receiver and is tuned to a particular channel. We've directly connected the cable box to the tv over HDMI and we can clearly see a picture. I've also attached the transmitter to several computers, none of which detect the transmitter at all. In effect the unit has no HDMI connectivity after less than a year's worth of use.
-
I loved this product while it worked. unfortunately it only worked for 2 weeks.not sure if i should order a new one.
-
Does not work as indicated. try to connect Sony TV and HP lap top. followed the procedure but didn't link.
-
Unpacking to installation and turn on was less than 15 minutes. No issues not tech support needed. Plug and Play Indeed! Quality is great for both video and audio. Operating at 1920 x 1080 resolution. HDMI responded and switched with no issues.
-
Works great. Not once have I had a problem with it. Very happy.
-
I took it out the box, I plugged it up, it didn't work and I returned it. Technically I could have tried to contact tech support to make it work but I didn't want to go through the trouble. If it worked and then glitched then maybe but all I got was more or less failure to wirelessly connect and wasn't standing for it.
-
I have mine used to beam an HDMI signal from the family room to the kitchen with a 10' display on the counter. I have the fortunate situation where the transmitter is line-of-sight ~25' away of the receiver on top of my fridge. I did have to get an HDMI 10' extension cord to make it line-of-sight, but works reliably and doesn't seem to be bothered by my tall head getting in the way working in the kitchen.
-
Just use a cable instead, and if a cable doesn't work, this product won't helpIf the two connection points are close with nothing blocking them, then how can $200 be a justifiable cost in light of the alternative of just running a cable? If there is clear line of sight and the two connection points are only a few feet away, this *might* get the job done, but you'd have to wonder why $200 is worth it.If the distance is further than ~5 feet and/or there are things in the way e.g. walls), this product won't help.I had hoped that this would be able to transmit through a couple of walls, but it wasn't able to. Seemed to work okay when the PC and the monitor were right beside each other.
-
This thing is pretty awesome. Mounted it on the wall next to the wall mounted TV. Plug and play, no additional software needed. Simple enough that pretty much anyone can figure it out. There's virtually no latency. It beats mounting a projector to the ceiling then running cable down to a central 'presentation' location. Pass the dongle please! Is the TV input on HDMI(#)? Is the receiver powered on? Is the dongle connected to your HDMI port AND usb port? Should be good to go!EDIT:6 Months in and 1 of the 2 units my company purchased has stopped functioning. Tried to repair and restart m ultiple times to no success. (Transmitter and Receiver appear to find each other but don't make a connection. Receiver has solid white LED while the wireless LED flashes) Started a chat session with customer support and are sending me instructions on getting the unit replaced. Dropping this to a 3 star until replacement unit is sent out. I will re-evaluate once the new one arrives to have a chance to evaluate customer service.

Don’t waste your money... transmitir does not work in the same room!

Nyrius Aries Prime Wireless Video HDMI Transmitter & Receiver for Streaming HD 1080p 3D Video & Digital Audio from Laptop, PC, Cable, Netflix, YouTube, PS4, Xbox One to HDTV/Projector (NPCS549) ★★★★★ from Amazon Customer on April 1, 2019
Does exactly what it says it does.
I use it to send HDMI Video/audio from my MacBook Pro to my big screen TV. Plug and play easy, great picture and no discernable lag time. A little more expensive than other setups, but seems well worth the investment. Ratings on Amazon and comments seem to support...

Works for about 5% of the computers at our corporate offices. Don't waste your money.

I got this transmitter two years ago and was very happy with it. It would connect quickly and without a problem with excellent picture quality. I never noticed positioning issues. Now I'm living in a new apartment and it's a totally different story. Even if the transmitter and the receiver are 5-7 feet apart, they often take 10-20 minutes to get a solid connection. I've found it helps to move other electronics away. If I move them further away or anything comes between the transmitter and the receiver and I lose the signal. Quality is also frequently low. When this works, it's like magic and makes everything easier. Way better than chromecast. When it doesn't work there's nothing you can do and it's very frustrating.

-
Just don’t waste your time or money on this. It couldn’t hold a signal when the transmitter and receiver were only 3 feet apart. Very frustrating!
-
As you can see in the video this product does not work. The receiver is less than 15 feet away. I hope the manufacturer contacts me with a solution. If not I will be following up with more info.
-
After just an hour the unit is literally TOO HOT to touch. The picture is excellent, and the sound brilliant. No Latency, just global warming.I am afraid if I use it for more than an hour it might go Nuclear!!
-
This works so well I was told to order another one for our medium conference room.
-
we use this for a conference room to eliminate cords when we want to share a computer to the TV. Works as advertised; a great value for the money providing a simple, lag-less means to stream a computer display up to a wall monitor
-
This product worked quite well for about 18 months and then failed. Several attempts to correct with Nyrius support have not helped. The error message pictured above apparently is fatal. Have manually paired transmitter and receiver and adjusted settings. The device clearly has gone bad because as soon as I disconnect the receiver and transmitter and directly plug in HDMI cable, the display is perfect again. So, I would say that this is a short-term solution.
-
Very happy with its performance... Highly recommend!
-
The installation was very easy despite limited instructions with the box. Works well, but a bit of lip sync delay is experienced. Picture quality very good.
-
If I plug my TV directly to my PC with an HDMI cable it works. If I attempt to link my TV using this device, it does not.I followed all the instructions. The transmitter and received are at LOS and within 15 feet. I paired the devices. Simply does not work. Also, their support is horrible. They have a 'support chat' function that doesn't work (it says 'You've been disconnected from the agent' 20 seconds into starting the session). This is an easy decision. Do not buy.

a carton of milk. Exaggerating but yeah for the money I expected this to work longer than a year. A year in, it started with cutting out and then trouble connecting. Then it would have long blackout periods in the middle of watching something. And swear it was every time i moved the mouse. The blackouts would be for minutes at a time. I can’t believe the price of this hasn’t even gone down by a little bit, it’s $200 and it cost just as much as it did in 2014. I will get another one a different brand but those brands cost anywhere between $250-$300 so I’m kind of stuck between putting up with this piece of shi I will get another one a different brand but those brands cost anywhere between $250-$300 so I’m kind of stuck between putting up with this piece of crap or spending money and invest in a new one . however when I was reading the reviews for this brand make and model that’s what convinced me to buy in the first place so get a new one in a different brand is going to be that much better ?
-
Excellent, i have used it for years, this and the previous model with pc and tv for conference, just plug and play
-
Bought this to wireless connect our cable box to our television. It worked great for about a week. Then with each passing week there were more and more issues with connectivity. We've had it about 2 months now and at this point we're going to have to go back to the hard wire or find a different brand. I'd understand if there was a barrier or large distance between the TV and box, but the box is sitting on top of a cabinet 2 feet away from the TV. DO NOT recommend for long-term, everyday use.
-
We replaced this product once already and it has stopped working completely again - of course we are now outside the return period. We would love to return this for a refund or get this replaced, as it no longer functions at all. Purchased Sept 2018, broke 1x during that period, and after replacement, is now broken again.
-
After reading multiple forums and reviews, i purchased the Nyrius prime with high expectations. It has not failed to meet them . It’s range and picture are exceptional. The sound does not lag or break up. I have used it for PC monitor extension, gaming and of course cable to tv bridge. All passed with flying colors. I highly recommend it.
-
Excellent product, love it.
-
Love the product and the support even after warranty ended was great!
-
Very good and easy to use ,Thank you so mich
-
At home works fine. I went to use it 10' distance in a high traffic area, meaning lots of people using wifi etc. It wouldn't stay connected. Great unit for home
-
I have had this Wireless HDMI unit for well over a year now and I have had no complaints.I use it to mostly stream and play movies from my laptop to my TV in my living room. I havn't noticed any kind of lag either.Granted I am only about 10 ft from transmitter to receiver but it has always worked for me. And is one of the easiest to connect too.I am going to be buying another one that will be going from my computer behind the bar to the tv on the wall and that is about 25 ft apart so we will see ho well that works. But I would highly recommend this unit to anyone.
-
I purchased this product directly from the seller website. This is a high quality product. I have been using it since 7 months and so far no issues. Easy to connect and and can see 1080p videos lossfree. Best part is - there is absolutely no timelag. I saw someone say that the picture comes out grainy - but that is not the case for me. I am using it to connect my Dell Insprion (2012) laptop to a 24" LED TV and use it continuous for 12-14 hours daily. Product heats up on use, but nothing extreme. The laptop connector has been designed to withstand heat and has proper ventilation vents. Wish it was a bit cheaper to get it within the affordability range.
-
I was considering giving it ** instead of * - because the customer service offered a return-refund (which I was unable to use because I'm in Europe and shipping from here 'd cost me more than the price I've paid for it); but decided to go for * as the appliance didn't last more then few hours and, seamingly, doesn't undergo better quality control before being offered for sale.
-
This was almost awesome. It was easy to set up, easy to use, had a crisp, clear picture - I really, really wanted to love this product... but it couldn't maintain a connection for more than half a minute. It would connect, everything would look great, and then it would suddenly blink off, think for a few seconds, and then usually reconnect. I took the receiver out of the cabinet, sat about two feet away, and the behavior persisted. It's likely there was some other electronic signal interfering; I have a fair amount of wirelessness going on in my house. But for me, this simply didn't work.
-
all the negative reviews are spot on. do not buy this
-
We bought this for our conference room and it works wonderfully.
-
What else is there to say? I wanted to make the TV in my office an additional screen for my Surface Tablet. I have a Surface Dock with two monitors already connected via the Mini-Display Ports, plus I was using the tablet screen. I wanted a FOURTH screen, not just another screen mirroring system. I purchased/installed this device (in under 5 mins), extended the display, played with the resolution I wanted and BOOOOM! Done! If you want an additional screen for your computer and don't want to run wires across the floor or threw the walls then this is a great option!
-
Pros: product is awesome and can't find an alternative in the marketCons: nothing so far
-
I have had this unit for about six months. It has worked flawlessly. We now have three installations in different locations at our company. Response is fast with no noticeable land and no issues for dropping connection.
-
I've now gone through two of these in the course of a year - have to purchase a 3rd one as it's a necessity for work conference room.
-
The picture quality was mediocre, when it worked. I was 5 feet away and with the receiver behind the T.V. the video was pixelated, would cut in and out and sometime go black for long periods of time. There is NO WAY this transmits in 4K as the video quality didn't come close to what the video looked like, on the same T.V. with a physical cable
-
This worked intermittently at our first tradeshow. It ony works if you have a clear line of sight 5' or less between the transmitter and the receiver. We tried it at another tradeshow (two separate units) and couldn't get a signal to last more than 10 minutes before it cut out. Not easy to use since you don't know if it's not broadcasting, not connected or if something is simply in the way. Even at 3' apart a 1/32' piece of plastic prevents a connection.
-
When it worked, the picture and sound was good. But it would frequently drop the signal and just be a black screen. I'm returning.
-
For PS4 I need to go download to 720p, that it is playable at all. The Link is not good although Sender and Receiver have only a distance of about 2,5m and no barriers are in between.
-
The product was great for the first 18 months. I had a simple setup of laptop to tv about 10-15 feet away.About 18 months in, the device stopped working! On my tv, I see the connection icon looks good and the video icon has an X next to it. My laptop no longer recognizes the HDMI transmitter as a new display.I've followed all the troubleshooting tips on the website and advised by the support team (resetting the connection, different laptops, different building, different tv's away from my router). None of them worked.Unfortunately my device stopped working after the 1 year warranty so they cannot send me a replacement. For such a pricey product, I expected better customer service to help.
-
The only reason I didn't give this a 5 star rating is because I cant transmit 4k signal from camera to external monitor to directors monitor. I am forced to only film in a low resolution 1080p, which is still okay. After all, it is a 1080p system. It transmits 4k great when transmitting directly from camera to a directors monitor but causes an issue for me because I use a Ronin-M. All in all, it's a worthy purchase. Brings such a high end feel to my clients.
-
This device is perfect for our conference room. Both vendors and clients can easily connect the transmitter to laptop WITHOUT Software (BIG Plus) in seconds.
-
I bought this hoping to stream my Nintendo switch 8-10 feet across the room to a fireplace mounted TV where I can't run an HDML cable.I plugged this in and it immediately connected and I saw a picture. However, the picture was a little bit grainy and the sound was terrible, full of static and pops and cutouts. I read the instructions and it warned about wireless routers, so I disabled the nearest one (I have a mesh network in the house). Still no luck.I tried moving the unit away from my Chromecast (it was previously in the neighboring HDMI port, thus sitting right next to it. As soon as I moved it away, everything was great.
-
I have purchased a few items like this in the past, but when Windows 10 came out, we weren't supposed to need them anymore because of WiDi. Well, in my experience, whenever Windows throws an update it seems like Screen Mirroring always has issues. So I picked up a few of these and I love them. The Picture quality is great and installation is a breeze. It won't disconnect until you tell it to, or turn the base off. I had to take away a star because it takes up a HDMI and a USB port and that cable doesn't make it the 'prettiest' of solutions. But other than that, if you're looking to get your laptop onto a TV in a conference room, this device is the tops!
-
I love it no wifi needed does everything it claimed to do. Easiest unit to hook up. Comes prepared just plug and play
-
Stay away from this device if you need a reliable connection. We wanted 12 for our office to allow our staff to wireless present from their computers. After hours of multiple guys troubleshooting though, we were unable to make audio work consistently with our Windows 10 machine. If this was plug and play, and audio worked without any hassle, we'd be swearing by this. Unfortunately, the cheap production and low quality of this device prevents it from being something we can rely on in the work place.

This is the second generation of this product that I have used. Excellent quality picture and sound NO LAG. - Verified Store
-
So cool. No for gaming online where you require 0 lag but in any other circumstance its perfect. Highly recommend. - Verified Store
-
Works great! Had it up and running in about 30 secs. I was a little leary as some reviews said the unit got hot and didn't work.
I plugged this in to my cable box about 15 feet away and within a few seconds I had video show up on my big screen. I have not seen any issues with heat! I even forgot to take the plastic wrapping off which was covering the side vent slots and still remained cool.
I would recommend this to anyone needing to go a short distance. Saved me a few hundred dollars/time by not having to rip into the sheetrock to move my coax! Money well spent! - Verified Store -
works perfectly - Verified Store
-
This did not work. I had professional A/V guys at my house working on my stereo and they could not get it to function. No walls in the way and about 30 feet away. Bummer. - Verified Store
-
It never stays connected. I have to reconnect daily and synchronize. Pay more for a better product this one is crap. - Verified Store
-
Thank you! - Verified Store

the signal is lost and my laptop returns the image a disaster ... nothing like the nyrius aries pro is more expensive but effective. - Verified Store

This product was exactly what we wanted. After remodeling our bedroom we wanted to move the furniture to a different configuration that would take us across the room from the cable connection. This product installed easily and presto we had a fully functioning cable connection with no wires to plug into the wall. - Verified Store
-
Just didn't work with my setup as I hoped it would. I was in the process of setting up a home theater setup with a projector. My goal was to avoid running a long HDMI cable around the room to the ceiling mounted projector (which was less than 15ft away given the product should be able to transmit further than that). The product worked a handful of times when directly plugged in to my cable box but unfortunately produced no results when plugged into my receiver box that controls all my inputs and speaker. So for my situation it just wasn't going to work. - Verified Store

This was so easy to setup and it worked great! Perfect for conference room use to eliminate all of the wires on the floor. - Verified Store

This works really well as a wireless HDMI. It is so much easier than having a cord lying across the room. My only complaint is that it is a bit bulky. - Verified Store

This product WOULD have been great. However even though the transmitter and receiver were within 10 ft of each other with absolutely no blockage/interference the connection would occasionally drop. I know it was not a streaming issue because I even tried with our DVD player and we got what looked like static on the screen.
I would recommend this product for sharing Excel spreadsheets on a screen word processing but not video sharing/gaming.
Expect much more at this price point. - Verified Store -

Not impressed!! We recently mounted our TV above our fireplace and needed a wireless transmitter to send our satellite signal to our TV as we had no in-wall data connections available. We purchased a similar 'wired' transmitter a few years ago to do the same thing for our bedroom TV and had great luck with it. It's worth noting that other transmitter was made by a different manufacturer. Seeing as almost all transmitters are wireless these days we were unable to purchase the same one as before. So after reading hundreds of reviews and comparing several products we decided on this one....bad idea! It worked fine for a few weeks and suddenly crapped out. It would constantly lose signal the picture would go black or get extremely pixelated and there was a delay between sound and audio. I could see this being an issue if the TV and transmitter were outside of the recommended range; however both the transmitter and the TV were in the same room within 3' of one another with direct line of site. Conveniently for the manufacturer the unit went bad 1 day after the return window closed so I am unable to return it for a refund. I'm less than thrilled with this experience and this product and I will never purchase a Nyrius product again. I'd advise you to do the same! For what it's worth the other transmitter we own that works great is made by IO Gear....go buy that one instead!!!!! - Verified Store

I normally do not leave feedback but this product is worth the words.
I connected it in less than 5 min and video was being sent from the Home Theater to the Projector.
Immediate video with no lag with audio I use it primarily with an Xbox One... wonderful time. - Verified Store -
Did not work well with Xfinity cable box. Each time I change the channel on the Xfinity box the Nyrius had to search for another RF channel which then caused picture delay picture fluttering or sometimes no picture at all. I tried re-pairing it multiple times moved all other wireless devices away but still had the same issues. The Receiver and transmitter were only about 6 feet apart as I was hoping to avoid digging into the wall to run an HDMI cable. Going to dig into the wall now...returning the Nyrius device. - Verified Store

Just go the transmitter today. Installed it right away and after almost 3 hours it works as intended. I have not challenge the distance performance as my TV is over the fireplace and the HDMI splitter is just 4 or 5 ft away. When working with the cable box and I push the “guide” button it has instant response in the TV no delays.
If I find something wrong I will be updating this review. - Verified Store -
Just put it in and am somewhat worried. Not sure if I should keep it. Only have a 10 ft distance between my projector and receiver and image is very speckly and grainy. I can actually see tiny grey specks on the black background. Very distracting. I will be planning to call customer service to see if perhaps I have done something incorrectly or if I can make some adjustments. What I find frustrating is that no where can I see the year this particular model was made and whether or not a more recent version has been released. Don't really want old technology if I can avoid it. - Verified Store
-
Worked great. It is nice not to have cords running across the room. - Verified Store

Very satisfied - Verified Store
-
Not good. Very unreliable. Support is non-existent. - Verified Store
-
This is a great unit when it works. However the transmitter died and was intermitten at first and after a week the transmitter would not even power on! Very disappointed with the customer service as the warranty is very limited. - Verified Store
-
Used this to mirror 2 TVs that are about 15ft apart. When I first turn on the mirrored tv there is constant signal loss causing blackouts. After 15 mins or so it stays on steady. Very disappointed in the quality of video that is lost even when streaming without signal loss. - Verified Store
-
Product is great unless you are using 2 anywhere near each other. The interference between 2 units makes them both flakey and unusable. This is happening even when the units are in 2 separate rooms with a hallway between them. Very frustrating and we're trying multiple things to resolve the issue. - Verified Store

fast servicie very good product - Verified Store

Purchased this to connect laptops to a LCD screen in a conference room. Device works well within line of sight and full HD quality as described. When testing the limits of transmitting it could even pass through a wall. Works within at least 30' did not test farther than that distance yet without a physical obstruction. Device came as expected though slightly larger than I imagined. The part to connect to laptop I imagined was the size of a thumbdrive but is actually close to the size of a candybar. The hdmi adapter piece connects straight in a laptop or a right angle was smart and an appreciated accessory. Seems a good value overall and I would purchase again. - Verified Store
-
I love how this product is truly plug and play. Connect receiver to TV and power and then the transmitter to the HDMI and USB ports on you PC and Presto you have your display on the big screen. It is fantastic. No more squinting at the tiny fonts on huge spreadsheets for work. Love this product and it is small and portable so I can take it with me for presentations at work and vendors - Verified Store
-
Good stuff -- works as advertised. It does seem to take a while to synchronize the transmitter/receiver and whenever the video source shuts off it doesn't maintain it's sync and has to re-sync when the video source returns. It seems to be pretty sensitive to line of sight between the transmitter/receiver. All that said once synced picture is clear with no discernible lag/shadow/etc - Verified Store
-
Honestly thought the first unit we bought was a lemon because it was so bad. It wasn't. They are just junk apparently. Signal drops constantly video quality is poor and pixelated. Plus these things draw a lot of power and get VERY hot. Spend the extra money and get something better!! - Verified Store
-
Accurate information and fast service. - Verified Store
-
I have four of these. So far they work very well. The reasons I didn't give it 5 stars are: 1. They run very hot and stashing them behind a TV without adequate ventilation is a problem. 2. The power connection on the PC side is in a horrible location. Since the ports on a laptop are typically close together the USB power cord often covers up just the USB port you want to use or runs into the laptop power plug. I have to provide a short HDMI extension cable to get the dongle away from the laptop. 3: One of them I just received was defective. - Verified Store
-
Does it work? Mostly. It works very well most of the time with very little lag and a crisp and clear picture. We're using it in our church to send the signal from a Mac Mini to the projector.
Issues it has:
We noticed that it had a lot of trouble connecting when more bodies were in the church (maybe more interference from devices). We had to reposition the transmitter up high with a clear and direct path to the receiver.
This unit (transmitter) also get REALLY hot. So much so that the usb power port popped out of the unit and we had to re-solder a new one in. After about less than 3 years of use we are also having issues with the transmitter sending bad color (magenta instead of black) to the receiver so we need to replace. - Verified Store -
cool and it was sent rapidly - Verified Store

Bought this so I didn’t have to cut open ceiling to run hdmi cable it works great with my new projectior. Actually have a wall in between receiver and transmitter and works fabulous.would highly recommend this product - Verified Store
-
Love it. A little pricey but perfect! - Verified Store
-
Hmm! well it works and will do the job but I noticed some interference lines on occasions and there can be a bit of a lag between Tc and Rx. But for the $$$ should not really complain. Sorry - Verified Store
-
good product - Verified Store
-
Easy to setup and use. I've bought two and they both work perfect - Verified Store
-
Does the job but it would make more sense for the small dongle to be the receiver so you can plug it into a projector more easily and could power it with a USB port instead of needing a wall outlet. - Verified Store
-
Informatin should be more specific regarding Apple products. - Verified Store

no messy wires any more. I wish they managed the satellite receiver remote functions within this device. Now the receiver is on one side of the room and the TV is on the other side and you have to point the remote to the receiver while your are looking at the TV. its no fun - Verified Store
-
requires you plug in the USB and HDMI ports....would be better if it didn't need a separate power source. - Verified Store
-
Works great ! no problems. - Verified Store
-
beware for the distances options before buying it is really as it is written or less - Verified Store
-
Pretty much a pain in the neck most of the time. Very finicky. Takes a long time to sync and performs intermittently (picture flashes on and off) while syncing. My transmitter and receiver are about 12 feet apart. In my opinion there is no excuse for such poor performance. - Verified Store
-
Worked for 11 months. Distance is 14.5 feet in a bedroom going from an Integra receiver to. Panasonic TV. Previous TV used component video. Didn’t want to fish a 50 foot cable through the walls and attic. Hoped this would be a solution. No obstructions in the room but it struggled to send a reliable signal 14.5 feet.. Would not recommend. It would often lose the signal. Then you have to wait a couple of seconds staring at a blank screen. Now it just stopped working altogether. Waste of money. - Verified Store
-
Works really nice literally Plug & Play. - Verified Store
-
At first I was worried about how the performance of this product would be, however, I am amazed that it fully meets my expectations, there are no delays between the transmitter and receiver, it is perceived as being connected to the HDMI cable. I am very happy and in the coming months I will share their performance over time.

Great Product
-
Works exactly as expected. Setup was extremely easy.
-
Works exactly as advertised. Simple set-up. Great picture on tv.
-
Very easy set-up and installation, and automatic linking. Latency, if any, is not noticeable. Fast shipping. Conference room projector application.
-
We were skeptical for sure, but this products works as advertised. So far we are very pleased with the performance and ease of use!
-
Item works very well and signal is clear and reliable. There are sometimes when the receiver has to change channels several times in order to find the clearest signal. Overall great product
-
NEAT LITTLE DEVICE
-
really easy to use it, and resolve my issue to send cables all along the meeting room
-
I love this so much! Ordered it for lobby TVs in our church, it works great!
-
I purchased this device once seen about this via unbox therapy. Today I receive it in Sri Lanka. Im really happy with the performance. 0 latency to the dot. Thanks for the great product.
-
Ease of use - plug and play. Can't get much better than that.
-
Great product! Easy to use - just plug and play. Worked perfectly for my boss's office to display PowerPoint presentations from a laptop to a TV screen wirelessly. Works with both Windows and Mac. Customer service team was very helpful and knowledgably. They helped me find exactly what I needed.

Great product, works well but occasionally it will stop working, causing the TV. screen to go blank. When this occurs it usually will last no longer than 5-10 seconds and the screen will reappear.
This occurred several days in a row. I contacted Nyrius and opened a case. I was contacted by Nyrius the next working day. We discussed what was happening and were unable to duplicate the malfunction. My HDMI unit is working fine now and much to the credit of Nyrius customer service, I now feel confident that if the issue should persist, they would work hard in attempting to correct the issue. -
I had a tv that I needed to be able to plug a laptop into to use as a projection screen, but didn't have the ability to run an HDMI cord from the tv to where the computer would be. A little research led me to the ARIES PRIME WIRELESS HDMI TRANSMITTER & RECEIVER SYSTEM, with Nyrius as the vendor with the best pricing. It was a swift and seamless purchase, the item came very quickly, and it works like a charm! It connects the computer to the tv with great quality and no drag. I am very pleased with this purchase and with Nyrius!

I bought this product back in late 2013, but it wasn't until we moved in 2016 that I could set it up with my projector. It didn't last long before the power supply mini usb female connector separated from the board in the transmitter module. It was treated with the utmost care, but must have been a faulty unit. The warranty expires after one year and there are no options for repair or replacement parts. I was offered a 10% discount to purchase a new system. I will run a long (much cheaper) HDMI cable instead of dropping another few hundred bucks on a new one as I don't trust the reliability of the build.
-
So far it works great and a very easy setup. I like the connection lights and the 90 degree hdmi elbow as that can save your dongle from getting damaged. Candace is a star and you should ask for her.
-
Bought this after viewing a YouTube video here.
https://youtu.be/M6oGGAIOCEc
Was under the impression it would go through walls if you were then the 30 feet range like the video I know they're not associated with you but from everything I read it look like it would work and that's one of the reasons I wanted this and it doesn't work at all through even one wall not to mention a couple walls. However does seem to work if you're in the same room but the way I look at it since I'm using a computer when I just plug in my computer right to the projector screen or the HDTV and get rid of the Aries Prime Wireless. -
My Nyrius transmitter/receiver combination is used to communicate from a computer on one side of a room to a display on the other side without having to string cables. It works well, but in fact this recent purchase is a repeat buy because the first one failed. I believe the sender unit was bumped as it protruded from the computer's HDMI port (much as a USB stick does). One day when I went to use it, it appeared slightly bent, and no longer worked. The computer is in a protected spot, but does sit on the floor, so it's possible that a bump occurred when custodial people were cleaning. Still, I was a bit unhappy that it was so fragile. However, when working, it does its job well, so despite the fact that I couldn't just replace the damaged piece--had to buy both parts at $200--I went ahead and did so. So we are back in business. It is possible to interrupt/slow its communication if a person stands in the direct path between sender and receiver, but that is rarely a problem. I'd give 5 stars except for the fragility.

We needed a solution for customer presentations involving 3D floor planning and design that kept wires to a minimum. We just got the Nyrius system set up and it works GREAT! I tested from about 100 ft away and it still functioned well. Looking forward to using this to engage our customer base.

EXCELLENT PRODUCT WORKS GREAT, EASE HOOKUP AND IS EXACTLY HOW IT IS DESCRIBED.

Plug and play set up, really easy to use. Would recommend to anyone looking to have presentations from different laptops etc.

This does exactly what I needed it to do and was a snap to set up. That's the way these things should work! -Verified Store

We bought the Nyrius Prime to be used in our conference room. The package included everything that you will need for the setup. If you are using the Microsoft surface you will need to also purchase the HDMI converter.
The wireless transmitter was very easy to set up and worked perfectly. No more unsightly wires and only being able to hook up to one area of the conference room.
Our conference room is used frequently and our reps like having this product! -
some inconsistency....but it does the job -Verified Store

Works great! Plug and play! It comes with easy instructions but I did not even have to read them. Just plugged it in and it started working. No hesitation or delay in the video image and picture quality is very good. Stays perfectly in sync with the computer monitor. Very satisfied and only wish I had bought it sooner. Highly recommend. -Verified Store
-
This was ridiculously easy to setup. It worked for both a Win10 PC and a Mac right out of the box. And just for fun I fired up a video game (even though this is not our intended use) and there is absolutely no latency between what was happening on my laptop screen and the TV 20 feet away. I don't know how you do it.
-
Very simple setup with NO extra software needed. Perfect for our needs in conference rooms. Will probably be ordering more. Also no video lag during presentations!

Worked for me -Verified Store

I like it for what it is.. Kind of steep on price but it's a jewel. I live on a ship right now and power suplies come in either 2 or four outlets. I plugged this bad boy in and blew minds. -Verified Store

Excellent seller. Product is great! -Verified Store

When it detects interference, it automatically resets to switch channels. I presume this would be a very useful feature if you didn't live in an apartment building, where it detects interference every 15 minutes and cuts out for a minute. -Verified Store

Worked like a charm, didn't need to load any drivers, nor even reconfigure my Windows 7 computer's display settings.
Here is what I did.
1. Plugged the big box into the TV's HDMI input. Plugged the AC power supply into the wall, and the output of the supply into the big box.
2. Plugged the little dongle into the computers HDMI port, and the USB plug into the computers USB port, with the other end of the cord into the dongle.
3. Turned everything on, and saw that I had to relink the dongle to the big box. No manual, in the box, no writing to guide me on the box, so I had to go to the Nyrius website and download the manual, then I saw a download for the quick link instructions. Followed the latter, and within 15 seconds I had my computer using the LG TV as a monitor.
In all it took about 15 minutes since I had to figure everything out with the lack of the manual.
I tested it by transferring the dongle from one computer over to my laptop. Within 15 seconds it had established the connection, and was displaying the new computers images on the TV.
Returned it to the other computer, and the same thing happened.
A perfect solution, now I only have to wait to see how durable it is.
I'm using it in a conference room to display the computers video output to a group.
Highly recommend as it is compatible with Windows 7 and does not require drivers. -Verified Store -

The Nyrius Aries Prime Wireless Video HDMI was extremely simple to set up and runs flawlessly between my computer and tv. I have tried with programs stored on hard drives, computer dvd drives, next flix, and IPods. All seemed to work without hesitation. The only glitch is if I used for watching Apple formatted movies stored on my computer, I would have to keep the computer screen up with HD movies to view them. This is a distraction but just a minor irritation. The unit does get hot but as per previous reviewers this should not be a problem. I recommend this product. -Verified Store
-
We use it to wireless connect laptops to a tv screen for meetings. It works so well that this is second one we've purchased for another conference room. -Verified Store
-
Not complains ta all!... Works great for meetings connected into a Wall Projector! (presentations, videos, video conference call, even the audio works fine) we use this into a medium office -Verified Store
-
Works wonderfully, still needs to have an adapter for HDMI to Display Port -Verified Store
-
It works great... The only problem I had with my hdmi wireless transmitter is that it has a GLITCH at the bottom of the screen.. I have been trying to fix this problem to no avail. I'm still troubleshooting this device to see if I can do any improvements regarding the glitching problem... -Verified Store

Didn't work. Could never get the units to connect. Unfortunately missed the return date by 1 weekend after trying multiple times. Should have given up sooner -Verified Store
-
Great product, easy to use -Verified Store
-
Very user friendly product (no training require) & enable self service when the device located at meeting room. However, if connect it with converter (eg display port to HDMI) , it then become flimsy & cantilever. So have to remind user to use it carefully as I scare it break due to additional converter in place. Would suggest the transmitter device to be design a bit smaller as now look a bit bulky -Verified Store

work's OK re-boots to often -Verified Store

Clean and simple way to connect HDMI to your tv. With a small selection of adapters you can wirelessly connect virtually any device to an HDMI input. -Verified Store

Don't buy this piece of junk. We purchased it only two years ago, and use it only 5-10 hours per week. After a couple of years, the picture is totally distorted. Pretty pathetic life of just over two years. Avoid this product... -Verified Store
-
We have three of these in our business and I'm buying a fourth. We use them in conference rooms and flex classrooms alike. There is zero lag and setup is as easy as an HDMI cable: Plug it in. I've not had issues with range in our rooms, and my units are hidden behind the TV. -Verified Store

This is so cool. It's very easy to plug into your laptop but you do need a laptop with an HDMI port. It's excellent to not have cords running everywhere. -Verified Store

The perfect answer to the problem of wires everywhere - works quite well, but there are no walls or great distances for it to pass through. -Verified Store

I wish I could give a zero star review. This thing is super expensive and works TERRIBLY. I tried beaming my computer to it from 10 feet and the signal was constantly interuppted and glitch. Returned it the next day. -Verified Store

We have a DVR for our security cameras with multiple viewing stations - up until this point, 2 VGA monitors. When the primary person viewing the cameras was moved into their own office, we needed a quick and efficient solution to allow them to continue viewing without cables running everywhere. The Nyrius was a simple and elegant solution. We positioned our HDMI monitor in the new office, plugged in the Nyrius and that was it, it simply turned on and began working. We are very glad to have found this product! -Verified Store

Works perfect!!!! -Verified Store
-
I use it for presentations of 3D Designs from a specialized CAD software, it projects well, when zooming, turning or moving the image there is no delay or image loss, which is what mattered the most to me. A problem I find is that it uses at the same time the HDMI and USB ports, which in my laptop DELL PRECISION are very close together so it is hard to plug them in and out. The base comes with 4 small feet which are fixed to it just by some type of glue, one of them fell off the first time I used it. It's not a great design works all right. -Verified Store
-
Product was just as I expected. I loved it and I would highly recommend buying it again. No software installation needed, it is just plug and play! -Verified Store
-
This is an amazing device and works extremely well. I used this to set up an "Outdoor" television for our Patio without having to run cabling from the indoor television connections/controls. Distance was about 30 feet and seems to work well after two weeks of use. Interference with other radio signals (WiFi, etc.) is a factor and the picture/sound can get grainy/muddied when this occurs. However, the device seems to be able to detect and eventually correct for this signal weakness. -Verified Store

Worked as designed -Verified Store

Couldn't get it to work. -Verified Store
-
Easy to use and setup. This product is truly plug and play. I didn't notice any issues with the sound or picture quality when broadcasting to a 65 in TV. -Verified Store
-
We have purchased a few of these over the years and they generally work very well, but don't stand up to everyday use for more than 2 years. We have had 3 break (2 of which where the power slot on the adapter came unsoldered from the board). My only other complaint is that the adapter takes up a lot of room - on many of our laptops we need to unplug any adjacent ports. -Verified Store
-
Piece of JUNK!!! Does not work... Period.
Guess what.. I missed the return by date and I am stuck with it. Now I understand why there is such a short return by date. Once they get your money, they do not want this junk back. -Verified Store -
Its ok, the range is not that great but its good enough for any small project or space you're planning to use it. If your seeking to use it for production, it's a pretty weak attachment so you'l have to either tape it or figure out a way to keep it on there. Otherwise it does the job. -Verified Store

These are great products for a conference room, or even just to create a way to send HDMI to a TV without wires. -Verified Store

Works very well without having to deal with cables running from the wall. It makes it very easy to change presenters as well and have mobility, if you need it, while you are presenting. -Verified Store

This set was exactly what I wanted to add to a second screen system I have at my living room.
Among the options I had, i.e. running a second HDMI cable through the walls from my TV room to my living room's ceilling where the projector is installed , Nyrius Prime Wireless HDMI set was a solution to the hassle of moving the projector from ceilling (which has only one hdmi input) every time I wanted to make a presentation or a vacation's picture slide show to the extended family on weekends from my laptop.
Nyrius is like an easygoing one, by meaning it is so easy to install and use, just out of the box.
It is really a plug and play device, exactly if I were installing a new driver for a printer on my computer. Once the driver was installed, it took less than 15 seconds for the transmitter and the receiver on the projector to pair.
The instructions included on the set I received, are limited to a flyer, like a quick start guide, which usually come with electronics, basically a few text and a sequence of drawing's explanation, that missed that you MUST connect the provided USB power cord to the pen drive as to have it operational.
Besides that, it has been working very well for two weeks now , with no image interruptions when I move the laptop within the range of 30ft of the receiver to capture the signal.
It does what it is designed for ,which is a major accomplishment considering the fact that it performs perfectly well for the price.
Delivered ahead of schedule, it Solved my problem for a reasonable price , in just a few minutes.
I would tend to recommend it to my friends and definelly would buy again. -Verified Store -
It transmits at 5Ghz, so if you have WiFi traffic, it will scan a bit before coming up. Otherwise it's a great gadget! All the laptop users who present in our office love it. They don't need to "sneaker-net" with USB's. Just plug in and go. -Verified Store
-
On my kitchen 38 ft aqay from transmitaer since day one and performe like a pro. Take it no regrets. -Verified Store
-
Needs work.
USE: Transmitter is attached to a DirectTV GenieGo. Receiver is attached to a Sharp TV 60Ghz refresh rate. Receiver is about 10 to 12 feet away from transmitter. There are no walls in between. There are no nearby devices, of which I am aware, that could interrupt or degrade the signal.
CONS: 1. The blue LED light on the transmitter blinks when the unit is off. Since I have to keep the Genie Go in a place where I can see it, the attached transmitter is also always viewable, as is the annoying, blinking LED light on the Nyrius Transmitter. 2. The picture is just OK. It is not clear, somewhat grainy. It might be the low 60 Ghz refresh rate on the TV. Perhaps the picture would be better if the TV was the normal 120 Ghz refresh rate, or the higher end 240 Ghz refresh rate?
PROS: Well, it does work in the sense that it projects a TV signal to a remote TV that is not directly attached to my DirecTV service. -Verified Store -
Sometimes need to switch inputs on the TV for this to "wake up". Otherwise, works very well. -Verified Store

The Nyrius HDMI transceiver system generally works very well in my home. We use it for sending HD video/audio to our ceiling-mounted Viewsonic projector from either a DVR or our iMac, which are both less than 20 feet from the projector. Occasionally it will "channel hop," especially at the beginning of a program, but it's never failed to make a connection, and it does so automatically as soon as every thing is connected and powered up.
The two major faults are:
(1) The transmitter gets very hot. Eventually its electronics will get fried, though ours has been working for about 2 years so far. The case does have ventilation slots for the sake of cooling.
(2) The use of a USB mini-B connector for the transmitter's power supply, with the jack soldered directly onto the internal circuitboard, was a foolish design decision. After a few months of use, the jack became loose and the transmitter stopped working. My hubby solved this by opening the case (voiding the warranty...) and wiring up a separate standard 2.1/5.5 mm coaxial DC power jack that he strapped to the transmitter with cable ties. This type of connector is commonly used with "wall wart" (or "power brick") DC power supplies - we already had a 5-volt 2-amp one that works fine.
We would have given the Nyrius 5 star rating except for this design fault. If you install the transmitter somewhere and seldom move it, you won't experience the durability problem with the power connector. -Verified Store -
After reading the reviews I was a little skeptical, but my fears were unfounded. My cable box is located in the laundry room, maybe 6 feet away. Works like a champ, no delay, no distortion....perfect! -Verified Store
-
I was very skeptical but decided to take a chance. When it arrived I misinterpreted the instructions and had trouble getting it to work. I went on the internet and found excellent instructions. It worked perfectly. I even put the receiver behind the wall mounted 40" Samsung display. No interference and much better appearance. I walked across our building and got a good picture even 50 feet away from the monitor. I am going to go ahead and get a few more for other conference rooms. -Verified Store
-
Having used a few other brands before, I'm impressed with the quality of the Nyrius device. Other devices have displayed a noticeable amount of lag where this one does not. I can't speak to any specific distance or obstruction differences as we use this in a simple office from a laptop to a 65" TV on the wall, with a range of about 15 ft - we have had zero issues with it. It just simply works, and works well. I plan to use it for all our other office needs from here on out. -Verified Store

The Aries Prime is good on a gimbal when transmitting HD material, live, from a digital camera. But I get a slight lag that I cannot tell if it is coming from the Aries or my IKAN 5" monitor.
It is powered easily with a usb battery pack. -Verified Store -
Bought this for my father so that he could watch online videos from his laptop on a big screen TV. He was able to plug it in and use it right out of the box without any trouble. -Verified Store
-
great product, work fine, great video quality -Verified Store
-
It does it's job. I wish it were a little cheaper. It gets alarmingly warm pretty quick, but not hot. It won't fit into the back of my Desktop PC because there is too much bulk around the HDMI plug on the small transmitter, but it works with my laptop as the HDMI port there is fairly clear. The bulk of the transmitter takes up so much space, however, that I lose access to a USB outlet when it's plugged in.
I bought it for streaming my gaming laptop to my mother's Smart TV. youtube videos take about half a minute for the sound to play through the TV when ever paused. Some games are incompatible with this device as they wont' stream their sound to the TV - and I tried changing the default playback device numerous times. This might be a software issue with the game, however.
I recommend it if you need some wireless HDMI streaming. -Verified Store -
Great idea..no cables, but it constantly searches for connection and causes the picture to black out frequently. Tried the IOGear as well and it's just as bad. -Verified Store
-
This is my third Nyrius, bought the first one about two years ago and since then it has been working flawlessly, it may be a little expensive however it is wonderful, this device is really plug and play with no drivers required as happens with other ones which is great when people constantly comes to the office with exotic hardware and brands.
Totally recommended -Verified Store -
Works great but does not provide true 1080 via the wireless. I notice artifacts and sometimes fuzziness to the picture especially with watching bluray. It is extremely bad with 3d content. -Verified Store

We ordered this for a client's conference room after they lost an HDMI cable inside of a wall. We were so impressed with the ease of set up that we are planning on ordering another one for another client.

The unit has worked great. My one problem is that my first unit stopped working after only 1 1/2 years and it was out of warranty so I had to purchase another unit. I did look to see if there was a better unit but I couldn't find one; thus why I purchased a second one. Except for that flaw I would have given it 5 stars.

Like the product very much. -Verified Store

Very simple to install. Signal strength is not quite as good as I would like. Otherwise I would have given it a 5 star rating -Verified Store

I bought the nyrius to connect my laptop to the HDTV. It worked ok for my MAC and on a different laptop that had VGA only, I bought an adapter and plugged that output into the prime transmitter. Worked ok with this approach too. Overall I am happy with the product. I would have given 5 stars if the product didn't need a USB power cable :)!

Pretty neat product, the performance is better than the Push 2Tv product that I've used for years (although it was a bad product). The picture quality is very good, though I expected it to be better, possibly because of my internet connection. The product is a bit expensive, but, it's doing what I wanted it to do. -Verified Store
-
I purchased this unit about 1 1/2 years ago. The transmitter just died. No power and I have already proven it isn't the adapter. I just chatted with Nyrius. My only option is to purchase the whole system again because they won't just sell me the broken transmitter part. That is quite sad that they want to make sure they can milk you for as much money as they can as opposed to being a little customer centric and at least just sell the part that broke after such a short period of time. -Verified Store

We really wanted to save on wiring mess and also have a nice clean look. This product did that, until we started adding components. As a disclaimer, the product does indicate that it is sensitive to wireless router interference. It is also sensitive to several other things. I relocated the router but shifted my PS4 in the component cabinet, this also caused issues. I'm also going to upgrade to a new home theater receiver that has wireless and bluetooth, and we'll see how that goes. This is perfect if you just have a cable box or computer and a tv. -Verified Store

I used it to transmit my Verizon FIOS Box signal from one end of the room to the other about 12 ft. It works perfect, no lag time, definitely recommend. -Verified Store

Worked perfectly right out of the box! I tried steaming video and audio from about 25 feet line of sight. Excellent picture and audio. Well worth the price! -Verified Store

There must be too many defective ones from this manufacturer. Transmitter lights up with PC and USB cord but it does not light up with HDMI cord. Absolutely and positively it has to be defective one. I'm getting a different one for higher price. It is not worth the aggravation with a cheapo. -Verified Store

Mine must be defective. Doesn't pair on two different cable boxes and two different TVs (they say it should pair right out of the box). Went on there website for help and no number to call to talk to anyone. So I tried all the 'hard" resets and manipulations recommended on the site. Didn't work, so all I could do was leave an email and so I had to try and troubleshoot through 3 back and forth emails with a company tech guy (Brian) and my clunker still doesn't work with my cable boxes. -Verified Store

Picked this up for the office to connect laptops to the big screen in the conference room. I setup roughly 20' but the video seems to have a lot of static. It's operating through one interior wall. I'm using it to view security cameras. I would not recommend this for watching a movie or television show.
At first I gave this a rating of 3* and today 4*
I have moved the system to my RV for Dish Network. It has worked for flawlessly in the RV. -Verified Store -
Was looking for a solution to use in our conference rooms to display to the TV instead of throwing a cord from person to person. This works with a display port to HDMI cable. Clear picture, minimal lag, effortless set up. Only con is they DID NOT include a USB power adapter to plug into USB port on the tv. They include a wall wart, who wants to use that:/ -Verified Store

I bought this for my company's conference room and it works great. The set-up is pretty easy for people who have an idea of what HDMI (the less tech folks at my company needed help using this). I am happy with it but the HDMI "dongle" and having to use USB for power can be a little bunky on smaller Net/Ultra-books. The rubber legs come off too but I super-glued them back on and no problems. -Verified Store
-
As other unsatisfactory reviews here say I will repeat: This product does not last a long time. It worked great fro about 6 -9 months then it started dropping the signal every few hours, as time passed every few minutes and now will not connect at all. I have not changed the position, of the receiver or the transmitter. The product just got worse and worse as time passed. -Verified Store
-
good product. -Verified Store

Bought the Nyrius Prime to be used in our conference room. The package included everything that you will need for the setup and good to go.. The only thing to note is that your computing device will require an hdmi port, if it does not, you will need to find a converter (DVI to HDMI, Large Display Port to HDMI, VGA to HDMI, etc).
Right of the box, after following the 4 step process it worked and our users are very happy with the result. No more wires and being stuck in area of the conference room.
I would also like to note, that the customer service people were very helpful, especially Whitney... I had a double charge on my card for this purchase and after speaking to Whitney we were able to get it removed.
No CONS so far for this product and/or the company.

My husband and I purchased the Nyrius Wireless HDMI transmitter for a very specific purpose and it has worked exceptionally well for us in the short time that we have owned it. My husband does video for weddings, and he transmits live footage of the event on a projection screen. This has allowed us to wirelessly connect our Canon C100 Mark II with our VGA projector (through the use of an adapter dongle). We have used this in our living room on a trial basis and the picture is of excellent quality. We were able to transmit signal through several walls from our deck to our living room. We have also tested it in a dance hall full of people with cell phones, and there was no interference. The Nyrius technology has allowed us to go wireless, which has improved our ability to capture video from multiple angles and has eliminated the safety hazards associated with using cables. We are very pleased with this item so far! -Verified Store

Works great.
Wish there was an option to have 1 transmitter to 2 receivers for dual display purposes. -Verified Store -
Works perfectly! Used for a playstation that is about 8 feet away from a wall mounted tv and for laptop to tv video transmission. -Verified Store
-
Best Wireless HDMI receiver I've ever used.
-
The transmitter can't be connected to an Xfinity PXDQ1ANI cable box, the USB power supply can't be connected as it abuts the box's power input slot. Waste of money to me and all because of bad design, why in the world would you design a transmitter that has to be powered by USB when their are boxes that don't have USB slots? And even if it did its blocked because its on the side. -Verified Store
-
Worked out of the box. Using between flatscreen above fireplace and cabinet about 8ft away. Transmitter is inside cabinet and receiver is tucked behind TV. Has minor annoyance of renegotiating resolution when changing channels. Probably more a Direct TV/Denon receiver issue than the wireless. Takes less than 10 sec and hits the highest resolution. Current WIFI does not have 801.11ac however new one does so we shall see if there is a 5GHz interference issue. Will simply turn off ac in modem if there is, 801.11n works just fine. -Verified Store

Unfortunately it didn't work for me.It could be my fault, but I tired very hard to make it work. I ended up with an cdmi cable. -Verified Store

Very Nice product, i used i my office to connect the laptop to a LED TV in the meting room, i connect to a Tablet, iPad. the quality of image and sound is very good. -Verified Store

Love the Nyrius ARIES Prime. Have purchased several already and it is nice when you have the TV across the room and you don't want to run cables. -Verified Store

Nothing great about it. It does what it says. -Verified Store
-
Unfortunately this did not work so well. I barely give 3 and even 4 star reviews because I can make anything work efficiently.
There were noticeable delays and deterioration in the picture. The TV was only about 10-15 feet away. The purpose of the adapter was to be able to connect the PC to a 55" TV in the living room. I must mention that the picture did come in clear though. So if you do not need to move a mouse or interact with applications this may actually work for you. For example at a hotel, displaying a slideshow or something similar where a delay will not affect you, then this will work just fine. The deterioration usually came about when there were moving images or dragging application windows and it was more of the picture getting a bit grainy -Verified Store -
Works better than expected. -Verified Store
-
It works exactly as stated. We are using in a conference room to allow visitors to project their laptop screen onto our tv/monitor. The base unit is in a cabinet and it still works. -Verified Store
-
I have six of these in my office for each conference room and my coworkers love them. Because it's wireless it makes for a clean looking conference room. We've had these for nearly 2 years and they get used daily. If your company is an exhibitor at shows and conferences, this device would give your booth an even cleaner look.
-
Hey maybe next time you design a "wireless" product you allow for batteries. Soft of defeats the purpose when you need to run wires to plug it in. -Verified Store
-
We use it in our conference rooms to connect laptops to TVs for meetings/conversations. Love the product so much that we have one installed in 3 of our conference rooms. Small issue... need to give it a hard re-start every once in a while. But, no problem compared to the huge benefit that it provides!

Easy to use, no complications, plan to buy another one.

As described with quick shipping. We are using it in a conference room to connect teachers computer to a smart tv. -Verified Store

The set up was a little more stressful than i had thought it was going to be, but I'm still thankful for it. I have a projector ceiling mounted and don't need a hdmi chord hanging from the ceiling now!! -Verified Store

I wanted to use the Nyrius Aries Prime for a very specific reason: to connect it to my Nikon D800 and transmit to a 32" Samsung monitor. It worked perfectly. Although it did require the purchase of two additional low-cost items:
1. One Mini HDMI male to HDMI female cable. (I went with MINI-HDMI (Type C) Male Adapter to HDMI Female with Ethernet (8 inch), which isJackery Bar External Battery Charger - Portable Charger and Power Bank for iPhone SE, iPhone 6s, 6s Plus, 6 Plus, 5, iPad Air, iPad Pro, Samsung Galaxy S7, S6, S5 & Other Smart Devices - 6,000 mAh (Black) found on amazon.com.) Another possibility is the Afunta Mini HDMI male to HDMI female, also found on amazon.com.
2. A power pact. (I got the Jackery Bar, also found on amazon.com). Note that the Nyrius comes with a power cable that enables you to plug into the Jackery Bar.
Bottom line is that it works. I created a short video to demonstrate. Please forgive the hesitation in my voice (I'm a first timer); just know that it works. -Verified Store -
First one broke, this is second one. Hope it will last -Verified Store

We have purchased many of these and for the most part they work great, there are times you need to refresh, but over all it's a really good product.
-
Love things you just have to plug in and the just work. Great item will be purchasing more soon. -Verified Store
-
The item does what it is suppose to do. You need line of sight between the transmitter and the receiver or close proximity for it to work well. Tried moving it out side the room where the receiver was (still within the 30 feet) but it lost signal. Doesn't transmit through walls. Work best in same room -Verified Store
-
This is a great wireless HDMI solution.
It was pretty much plug and play to install. The transmit dongle simply plugs into your HDMI output (from a laptop or other source) and uses a USB wire to power itself. The receiver piece also simply plugs into your TV's HDMI input and has an external power adapter. Once you've plugged everything in, the receiver will take a few moments to detect the transmitter but no other user input is needed to make the device work.
I have the unit in a 25 foot by 18 foot room with the receiver about 15 feet from the transmitter and the picture is clear. If I bring the transmitter out of the room, the signal begins to drop out almost immediately so this is definitely a short range wireless HDMI solution. -Verified Store -
Worked as advertised. No issues. No drivers to install. -Verified Store

Device worked great on Samsung tv, but only after struggling through a poorly documented pairing process. Device did not work on another flat panel tv (sanyo) - unclear on why. Reception, picture quality, lag, etc. all outstanding once it paired. -Verified Store

Great picture and sound. Easy to hook up with either satellite or a blueray player. Shipping was fast. -Verified Store

This is a very compact and efficient device to connect a laptop with any TV with a internet connection for conference room use. We are using a smart TV for our connection and have found the hook up to be quick, reliable and efficient. This product pretty much eliminates the need for a HDMI cable pulled to the conference table but we have one as back up if the need should arise. Requires regular wall outlet and WiFi. Great product! -Verified Store

This is our second unit. Connected right out of the box with excellent piicture quality and sound.

Used this product to put cable box in the closet for a TV that was hanging on the wall. Very easy to set up and works absolutely perfectly. I would definitely recommend. Considering buying another one for a room that does not have a working cable outlet. -Verified Store

I could not for the life of me get the receiver unit to pair with the transmitter. I thought at first I was too far away (about 30 feet, but through a wall), so then I tried it on a closer TV and it still didn't work. After about an hour messing with it I decided to return it, and as a replacement I ordered the IOGEAR Wireless 3D Digital Kit and that kit works flawlessly even on a TV that is over 50' away and located outdoors. So while I don't recommend buying this kit, I do highly recommend the IOGear kit. -Verified Store

This is the 2nd of these units we've purchased. They're great for conference room use!

I now have used two products, both work as designed and have never been an issue. Very helpful when transmitting a presentation of material from laptop to large screen.
Excellent product. -
Simple, easy to use and works as advertised. I have used two of these devices over the past couple of years, and not had an issue with either unit. Nice product.

We purchased an Aries Prime in 2013 and it worked flawlessly out of the box.
When it suddenly quit functioning properly and I contacted customer support - Sean and Daniela took care of the issue and a replacement was shipped out overnight.
Just received the replacement unit minutes agoi. Plugged it in and it started working immediately.
Good product - great support! -
Excellent product. Easy to install. Using it with my blueray player and project to watch movies on big screen. No more running hard wire through walls or ceiling.
-
I bought the NPCS549 to connect our board room TV's without running messy wires. So far the product is working great with no complaints from anyone. The devise is plug and play, no software to install, no complicated wires. Just plug the receiver in to the TV and plug the transmitter into the computer and you're good to go. I'm now looking to get one for the rest of the board rooms and one for my entertainment room at home.
-
Bought this device as a gift for a friend who often needs to connect his laptop to his big screen in the hall....It looks like it is really convenient and easy to use..and he's very grateful for this gift which made his life easier free of any complication.

Had a little trouble with delivery, but when I finally got the Prime, I plugged it in and it worked straight out of the box.

Bought the Nyrius for connecting my laptop to my big screen Tv.
It works great!! Honestly exactly what I had been looking for. My laptop is about only 8feet from the TV and so I'm not testing its limits, but even for gaming I find that its near instantaneous onscreen. Normally I cannot even notice a difference between the use of it and if I was gaming on my laptop. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to use it for making ur TV a monitor for all purposes! -
It is great.
Since I got it, I am using it to watch movies and sports games on my TV. No problem at all as if I am using a cable.
That's was exactly what I wanted.
I feel great that I saw it online and got it.
-
excellent product , I have the first one 6 months ago without any problem
-
I have had the Nyrius for about a month and have had nothing but great experiences. The unit provides very clear movies and television programs each and every time. I would like to note that this is all done from one room to another. This is a great product and I have no problems

After moving out all of our furniture in order to pull up our carpet to cut and tape the
pad to install an expensive 30' HDMI cable to hook up a new projector 20+/- feet from our
screen, receiver and DVD, my granddaughters boy friend somehow bend/destroyed the end of
the projector side cable! With all the work and cost it took to install the cable I was
really upset! A friend told me to look into a wireless HDMI and after reading reviews
purchased the Nyrius. After an easy set up I held my breath and turned on my projector,
surround sound and DVD and was blown away that it worked immediately without any quality
change what so ever. I highly recommend this product!

Was very skeptical as at the time of purchase, there were no reviews. However I am
thrilled. Truly Plug and play and there is no lag or latency. I've got full 1080p and
smooth, clear sound transfer running between computer and 50" TV or Projector. No jumping,
skipping, lag, anything. Worth every penny.

This Nyrius works fantastic. I have 2 of them. I have the Pro and the Prime. The Prime
limit is what it says (30 ft.). For the money, you can't beat Nyrius. If your signal is
going to be less than 29 ft, then all you need is the Prime. I use it for my ceiling
mounted projector and no lag at all (and I have a wireless cable box). The other one I am
using it to add a TV in my Kitchen. So, that means I am sharing the cable box in the L.R.
with the Kitchen TV. If you are using this for anything but a computer, you have to make
sure you have a USB port, because that is how you are going to power the transmitter. You
can use a USB power wall adapter to power it as well. The transmitter is located @ the
source: cable box, computer, Blu-ray Player, etc. (where you are sending the signal) and
the receiver is located @ the TV or computer (where you are receiving the signal). You
have many options on how you can use it. You have to have a HDMI port on all units. You
CANNOT use a YpbPr to HDMI adapter (it will not work).

I admit it. I was skeptical when I bought this. But I was desperate. God knows why, but
the builder of our condominium chose to locate the cable on a wall that would never be
used to locate a TV, with the only obvious TV location no where near it. Result: long
coaxial cable running along the baseboard, inside a closet over the floor, and then back
along the baseboard to reach the TV. Needless to say, my wife was not happy. And we all
know what that means. So, fingers crossed, I bought this as "the solution." Well, lo and
behold, the thing actually worked! The distance as the crow flies from the transmitter
attached to the cable box (which I relocated on top of a bookshelf) to the small square
receiver plugged onto HDMI 1 on the back of the TV is about 10 feet. Picture quality is
excellent - true HDMI - and is difficult to distinguish from the picture quality with a
direct cable connection. Also, I was a bit concerned about potential interference cause by
a wireless router located about 8 to 10 feet from the Nyrius transmitter (on the website
they warn you in small print that this can sometimes occur), but there was no
interference. One minor caveat: the transmitter is a "dongle" which is plugged into the
HDMI output on my cable box, but it requires its own power supply via a separate USB
cable. Fortunately, my cable box has a USB port, and I plugged the USB cable, which is
provided by Nyrius in the box, into that USB port for power. However, if the HDMI source
you plan to transmit from does not have a USB port, then you will have to use one of those
little transformers that converts USB to 110 volt standard AC (like you use with a cell
phone or Kindle charger). Nyrius does not provide one of those little transformers, so if
you need one you will have to buy one or steal one from one of your other devices.

This device works great! Issues that we do have is 1) some laptops do not have a clear
picture unless the laptop is plugged into a wall outlet -- not enough signal power? 2) We
have yet to be able to get an Apple laptop to work. The apple laptops we have used do not
have an HDMI output. We do have a VGA to HDMI adapter that we use for laptops that do not
have HDMI but do have a VGA out but the Apple's we have tried do not have a standard VGA
output. That being said, you can get the cord for the Apple product however, we have not
been able to get this device to work with any Apple product.... could be user malfunction
but certainly isn't plug and play on the apples. Excellent product for your IBM machine :)

I purchased this for a small church that is just starting up.
They were looking for a simple solution to transmitting video from their laptop to tv
wirelessly.
This product did the trick.
It auto adjusts to the screen resolution, has great HD quality and great range.
From the back of their auditorium to the front of house is about 30 ft....no problems
connecting and there was no interference cellphones, tablets, etc.
It was so good I ordered one for home use.
I'd recommend this to anyone...it's a great reliable product.

This product works great so far. The only thing that was annoying was that I didn't
realize that your computer has to have an HDMI port in order for this product to work
properly. That means I had to buy a conversion cable, which was an extra 50 dollars. All
in all, well worth it. My TV is now the ultimate command center.

For a corporate use trial, we actually ordered this device and two others (1- Microsoft
Wireless Display Adapter, and 2- Actiontec SBWD100KIT01 ScreenBeam Kit Wireless Display
Receiver & Transmitter for Non-WiDi Laptops/ Miracast Devices). The Nyrius was definitely
the best. The Microsoft device actually requires Windows 8.1 or Android 4.2.1 OS (or other
patches), which is seriously limiting. The Actiontec worked well once installed, but
required an initial setup to mate the transmitter and receiver, then also an application
install for every new device (laptop) to project. The Actiontec also forced a resolution
change on the projecting laptop, in two of our trials. The Nyrius is TRULY PLUG-AND-PLAY.
No software/app to install, no adjustments to screen resolution, etc. Just plug in and
it's projecting. Instantly.
The picture quality itself is brilliant (in fairness, so was the picture quality from the
Actiontec). The Nyrius appears to very easily cycle between channels to assure itself
improved quality whenever a channel is getting less than perfect.
The only small negative is that the HDMI transmitter also requires power from a
neighboring USB plug, so it's one extra cord to connect.
And, of course, it's the most expensive of the three. So if you don't need the multi-user
plug-and-play ease, then maybe the Actiontec is right for you to save some money!

I've had this unit for 4 months now and I love it. I use this to broadcast PC games from
my desktop that's roughly 40 feet away, with no walls, just some furniture in between. I
was worried about putting the receiver unit inside my entertainment center behind a closed
door, but I've tried it inside and out with no noticeable difference. It usually connects
without any issue, but on occasion the screen will be black when I try turning on the PC
but all I have to do to fix it is either unplug and re plug in the dongle on my PC or
switch inputs on my receiver and switch them back.
As for video quality, it looks pretty good on my 65" TV @ 1080p 30hz, but you can notice
compression artifacts, especially if you look for them. Like all MPG compression, it is
more noticeable in darker areas. Having said all of that, my wife has a hard time telling,
unless I point them out. And when I get into a game and start playing it then I almost
always forget that they're there. I've tried some other solutions and the Nyrius ARIES
looks better than anything other than running a 50 foot HDMI cable to the TV. I still use
Kainy to stream to my android tablet sometimes, but the quality on that is noticeably
worse and occasionally cuts out.

I purchased this for our business. We have a large flat screen TV in one of our conference
rooms and wanted to wirelessly run presentations from laptops. I was a little skeptical
that this would work. Piece of cake! Just connect the transmitter to your computer, you
will need a HDMI port (transmitter) and a USB port (for power to the transmitter), Connect
the receiver to your TV with the HDMI cable provided and plug into a power source. Set TV
to HDMI and Voilà whatever you have on your computer transmits to the TV including sound.
We used an old XP laptop to test it and it worked great! This model says it needs line of
vision to connect. I had the receiver sitting by the TV and was able to walk around the
room and still keep a connection even when the transmitter was not directly in line with
the transmitter so it seem to be a little forgiving in that regard. I am sure I wouldn't
work if the receiver was inside a cabinet although I didn't try it. Great product, we will
probably purchase more.

Our church bought one of these for our hall to use with our projector, laptops, and Bluray
players. Range was amazing...we mounted this about 8 feet up onto the pole that our
projector is suspended on (with some plastic ties) from a crossbeam, and once my laptop
connected, i walked all around the hall as far as around 40 feet away, and the signal
remained connected and the video ran smoothly. When connecting to a projector, the
projector becomes the audio "control" and you have to run an audio cable from the
projector to your sound system. Ours had a standard 3.5 mm output, and a 100ft cable on
Amazon was about ten bucks, and the sound was perfect. I also realized that you had to
turn up the projector volume to a decent level first, then you can use your house system
to shape the sound. I will post an addendum later to comment on whether it is still
running well. So far so good.
Addendum 3/24/13: system works fantastic, including with bluray player. Because we mounted
it high, we also picked up a remote control power outlet on Amazon so it was not on all
the time.
update 6/22/15 - this device is still going very strong...works great with bluray players
that have usb port.

This thing saved my butt. I needed my bedroom TV on an opposite wall where there was no
coax cable for my cable box. Running cable to that side of the room would've been a huge
pain. I decided to spend the money on this thing and couldn't be happier. Since installing
it I've never had to deal with it. Not once. The only reason I know it's there is that it
takes a few extra seconds before I'm watching TV after turning everything on. It "wakes"
and reconnects to itself every time you power on your tv and set top box. Flawless audio
and video from across the room (12'). One thing to note that I was not aware of; the
transmitter requires USB power. Fortunately there was a USB port on the back of my cable
box that I could use to power the transmitter. I guess this is because the device is
mostly used for laptops where USB is almost guaranteed to be available.

This was a nice surprise! My experience with streaming/wireless transmitters for video
signals has been extremely poor. Maybe my expectations were too high, but when using such
devices as Google Chromecast and Apple TV, I expected seamless video transmission with
zero lag.
Admittedly, those devices were not designed to have zero latency, but I was still
skeptical with the Nyrius Prime because of the poor experiences I had with other devices.
After booting up the Nyrius and using it for a few hours streaming games, movies, and
music, I have been pleasantly surprised by how well it works. While the price might seem
high when compared to such devices as Google's Chromecast, the quality in the signal you
get with this device is simply leaps and bounds ahead of Chromecast.
Simply outstanding.

I have ordered several of these for my company and my users all love them. They are easy
to use and they have great picture quality. The main reason I went with this was that,
unlike the USB wireless video transmitters, this requires NO driver or software
installation. A necessity when your company locks down your computers like ours does. I
have heard complaints from other reviews that they do get a little warm with extended use
and ours do as well but no more so than the USB devices we have tried in the past. These
also work well with a Display Port to HDMI adapter for our HP laptops that have no
dedicated HDMI port.

This transmitter works really well. Picture and sound are fantastic. I have to say that I
was a sceptic when I purchased this (being sure to keep all of the packaging in case i
wanted to return it). I am using this transmitter in my apartment where there are rules
that forbid me or the cable company to run new cables or wires through the walls. I only
transmit about 15ft with it but I have never had any problems with it since I purchased it
a month ago. I think this product is a little pricey but worth the $$ in the end.

I was excited to try this out with some of our various laptops and the projector in the
conference room. It had no problem with a variety of resolutions on a variety of
computers. The wireless connection was super easy to establish and although we have many
wireless things going on in our office, the devices communicated perfectly, resulting in a
completely stable perfect picture. In short, I'd recommend this device for anyone looking

This is the second Nyrius ARIES Prime Digital wireless HDMI, everything works fine, I have
one meeting room with a 70 LED HDMI TV and a HDMI Projector so, before I had a long cable
for each device so user had to move to the cable place so they can connect to the device
(s) now with this wireless HD user can stay in the same desk and share their desktops
without any cable across the desk, the device works fine, good range the price is good.

I was skeptical until I saw it work. I have this product hooked up to my stereo receiver
which has a DirectTV box, a PS3 and a Roku attached via HDMI. Everything comes through
with absolutely no lag. I have test playing games using the PS3 and it just like playing
on a wired connection. I love the performance and my wife loves the lack of wires. Win
Win!!!!

We needed a device to use in our board room where anyone could walk in and connect their
laptop to the flatscreen across the room and give a presentation. I read all the various
reviews on these wireless transmitters and also reached out to a friend of mine that
bought one of these exact models. I moved forward with purchasing this one and it worked
straight away with our macs and PCs at first test. The unit spends a few extra seconds
finding the best format between your device and TV until it finally syncs. Seems to
perform it's job very well. Very satisfied with this product.

If you like to use your big screen tv as a laptop monitor then this is the product for
you. It's a good product if you like projecting items on your laptop (like vacation
photos, etc) to your big screen tv. I'm very happy with this product, one of my best
purchases of the year. I also have an AppleTV but it doesn't really show my whole iPod
screen to the tv monitor.
Likes (worthy of a 5 star):
The whole concept of projecting from the laptop to the big screen is amazing.
Very easy to install, basically plug and play.
Never had a problem since I've been using it.
Dislike:
I don't think it's a product flaw but i have disabled the sleep mode of my laptop because
when the laptop sleeps in the middle of watching a Netflix movie the tv screen also
sleeps.
It's also not compatible with the iPod because it requires a USB port.
Maybe make the transmitter smaller.

I admit, I was skeptical as to this thing being "lag free". However, it is working
beautifully!!! I use it to be able to play xbox on my computer monitor (just a hdtv) as
well as my living room tv. Full 5.1, lag free, 1080p playback that is impressive for the
price. This will keep me from having to buy 2 of the next gen xboxs when they come out.
I'm also going to tie in a auto hdmi switch so I can use my pc in the living room as well.
Well done Nyrius.

I've been looking for a good solution to stream media from my laptop to my TV for years.
I've tried several approaches, but the Nyrius is by far the easiest and most effective.
Unlike some of the alternatives, it streams whatever is on your screen. It takes very
little time to set up and is very easy to operate.

Excellent picture and sound quality! Transmitting range good enough for a normal living
room. Easy to install and operate. Small size equipment that looks good. Only negative
thing is the need for a separate power cable to the transmitter. Overall mark is very
good!

This device works better than one might guess. The transmission distance exceeds specs and
reconfigures seamlessly after power outage or other interruptions.
A great device which hopefully will hold up after extended use. Time will tell!

I had a challenge to install a projector with HDMI input in a place where routing the HDMI cable was a huge issue - inside a diesel pusher motorhome to create a home theater environment. This wireless system solved my problem. The receiver and sender sync immediately after power on, there is no line of sight required, I get close to BluRay quality about 18 ft away- It works ...
Update April 2013 - still works ok, some signal degradation observed. Wanted to get another unit for another application and they raised the price from 149.99 to 199.99....I'll have to look for another product- 33% price increase without any product improvements is unacceptable and unwarranted....lost a customer.

This device just works.
In my office, there is the wired version of this product.
That works great as is. The frame is not 100% but it's the best you can get.
I was a bit skeptical when I purchased this wireless version.
And when I plugged it in, there was no question about the quality.
It just works. I have a Macbook Pro, using this device, to have Extended Desktop to my 42'' LG TV.
Plug and play. Plug and go. Call it what you will.
[ Things to Note ]
If the connection is not live before you play the video (whether it's from program or from a web),
you have to do the following:
Make sure the link from computer-to-TV is live.
Change the Sound Output to your TV or whatever your unit is connected to.
Then either [1] Restart your browser if you're using a browser to watch videos, YouTube, Hulu Plus/Netflix, etc., and pull up the same video again, after the connection is established.
[2] Use a different browser
[3] Restart the application you're using to watch your content, e.g. Quicktime, VLC, etc.
Other than that, there are no issues that I've ran into.
I often plug and unplug and the receiver and transmitter have no problem with that.
I had AirParrot and an Apple TV the week before I purchased this.
I returned that Apple TV a week after I purchased this.
This is a much better solution if you want to watch whats on your computer, but extend it onto your TV.
Worth the investment.

I use a computer attached to my TV to watch shows off the internet. I put a second TV in the bedroom and wanted the same computer on it but did not want to run an HDMI cable on the floor where it would look bad. I ordered the wireless HDMI system, I also got a HDMI switch (1in/2out). My computer feeds the in side of the switch, one out goes to the TV the computer is on and the other out has the wireless HDMI transmitter. I hooked the receiver to the TV in the bedroom and turned it on. It works very well. No lag, looks good (my TV is 720P so I don't know how the 1080P would work). The signal goes through one wall and about 25 feet from transmitter to receiver. The only down sides are it takes about 15-25 secs for the transmitter to receive the signal when I first turn it on and when they are working they get some what hot. I would say I am very happy with this produc

I'm always skeptical of the first wave or two of a technology advance and was preparing myself for disappointment over wireless HDMI, just in case, but the gadget nerd in me couldn't resist. However, after a month of use, it works as advertised. My situation was I wanted to transfer my PC monitor to the big screen in the living room occasionally, and running a hard line would be rather involved. Adding wireless keyboard, mouse and 360 controller (for Steam games) and I'm in business. Game play, surely the most demanding activity, has been no problem at all. Documentation is sparse, but it's pretty simple; the dongle is the send unit, and the box is the receive unit (you might think it would be the other way around since other dongles like Chromecast are the receive). Plug the dongle into the device you want to send pictures from, the box into the monitor you want to see them on. Be aware that in this case your PC is likely to see the second monitor as a sound device, and you'll need to go into control panel>sound and select the 2nd monitor as the default sound device each time you use it (and switch back when done), or you'll have no sound. The only disappointment would be strength of signal. If you have to send the signal through more than one floor/wall, it's likely not to make it. In my case the distance to the monitor is short (12 feet or so) through a floor. Very rarely, but occasionally, the signal will drop for a few seconds. We tried testing on another PC in another bedroom, distance about 15 feet but two walls in between and the signal doesn't reach at all. So, this limits the usable applications a bit. In a line-of-sight situation it probably can do 30 feet, but in the real world we'll almost always be working through at least one wall or floor, so you'd want to assess your circumstances carefully in terms of distance and obstructions.

I bought this adapter to use with my laptop so that I could connect it to my TV without having an HDMI cable being stretched across the floor. After using this adapter for a few weeks I'm sad to say that it doesn't work as well as it should.
When you first turn it on the picture quality is very good. The picture mirror my laptop perfectly, there is no latency or anything. You would think you were hard wired. But as you continue to use it the picture starts to pixelate and the sound starts to stutter. Before long the picture and sound will disappear completely and the receiver and transmitter need to reconnect to each other. This can take several minutes.
I would not recommend this product because it is unreliable You might as well invest invest in a long, low profile HDMI cable and run it along the edge of the room and save yourself the headache.
UPDATED
OK so I was contacted by customer service about possibly having a bad unit. I shipped it back and a few weeks later I received a new one. I tried out the new unit and it might be working a better. The picture hasn't cut out as much as before but it still does it. I'm convinced that this is just normal operation.
I have to say though, as far as customer service goes Shoptronics is excellent. I'm impressed that I didn't have to contact them and they contacted me first.

I had some doubts whether this would work to send an HDMI signal from the back of my Sony
receiver to my Epson 730HD projector on my patio. The distance is only about 20' but it's
through a double pane glass door that's usually open when I'm on the patio, meaning that
there are actually 4 panes in the way, and also the door frame itself. To complicate
matters, I need to feed the transmitter through an Orei HD-102 2-port HDMI active
splitter. I set everything up...and it all worked immediately! The splitter sits on top of
my receiver and the ARIES transmitter is sticking-up vertically off the back of the
splitter. I can see it from the patio if I move to the right position, but that's not
where the ARIES receiver is located. So this unit and the splitter are both getting 5
stars. I did have a glitch worth mentioning. My Sony Receiver has no USB port whereas my
projector does. So I tried powering this ARIES system "backwards" meaning that I used the
USB cord on the receiver end and the 120 vac adapter on the transmitter end. It worked for
about 5 minutes that way but then the receiver "died", as in, no power. After resetting
everything including the projector it worked again for a while then quit again. I'm
guessing that the ARIES receiver needs more power than the projector's USB port can
provide and that port is shutting down. So I grabbed the little USB charger for my iPad
and reverted to that for the receiver and it worked fine from that point on. I watched
several hours of various video sources outdoors including Blu-ray. There were no issues
with anything as far as the video goes, and apparently no problems with HDCP. I did note
that the speaker in the projector was not working (and I know it does work with a
connection from my computer) so I'm guessing that the DD5.1 SS audio is not present in the
HDMI output from my Sony receiver. But that's a non-issue as I'm using speakers connected
to the receiver (through an OSD 120-watt 2-channel amp) to provide the audio. It's all
good...!

This system worked perfectly out of the box. I was very surprised, as I read some other

I am thoroughly impressed with this thing. I had initially snaked a ridiculously long HDMI
cable around my living room from my TV to mirror my 15" Macbook Retina. It worked fine,
but the cord was very finicky if it was touched at all on the Macbook side. I looked into
these adapters and was set back by the price, but I managed to get a really good deal from
a third party seller here on Amazon which helped me to take the plunge.
Simply, it just works! I'm not one for directions, so at first I plugged it into the HDMI
port and was wondering why it wasn't working, but I quickly realized that it doesn't get
power from the HDMI port, so I had to plug in the USB Cable. Once I did that, boom, it
worked instantly with no issues. I literally notice no difference from this device and my
hard wired connection. I walked around my apartment a little bit and it didn't lose the
signal at all. I walked into my office, left my laptop in there and came back out and
noticed the signal didn't noticeably degrade at all. My office is about 20 or 25 feet away
(around a corner and down the hallway).
So, this is as advertised. The only recommendation for improvement is that it received its
power from the HDMI port, but I'm sure that is simply a technical limitation due to the
small amount of power that an HDMI port supply's compared to USB ports.
One thing I noticed is that when my Macbook went to sleep, it didn't restablish the
connection. I had to unplug the HDMI transmitter and plug it back into the laptop for it
to work again. This doesn't warrant a star deduction in my opinion though.

This unit arrived very well packaged and in perfect condition. It literally worked right
out of the box. I bought it for my lap-top as well as my wife's I-Pad to wirelessly link
to my TV.
There was one small issue when trying to use it with the I-Pad. In stead of using the
power pack for the receiver at the TV, I used a spare USB port on my Samsung TV and used
the power pack with the I-Pad since it has no USB port which the transmitter needs for
power. I also had to buy a short, inexpensive adapter cable to adapt the I-Pad port to the
HDMI that the transmitter needs. All of this was straight forward and easy.
For the lap-top and, I am sure, for a PC, that already has a HDMI port, there is no need
for any adapters. Everything just plugs in and works.
OK, I admit I am no AV aficionado but, as far as I can see there in no visible degradation
or delay of picture or sound quality. Although, I have not yet used it with any super fast
action videos, I have tried a couple DVDs and they seemed to play through just as well as
my DVD player with a hard wire HDMI. I honestly could see no appreciable difference. Also,
when using the 'PC' mouse, there was absolutely no delay in response.
All in all; a really cool little device. I like it.

I had two HDMI cables that were run behind a fireplace and through walls during a
renovation project. After a year, one of the heads broke and after two years the other
head snapped off when moving some furniture. The thought of having to bust up the walls
again to run another cable was painfull. After doing research on the internet, I came
accross the Nyrius product. It does exactly what it says it will do. It provides the same
quality picture and sound to my TV from my HD Xfinity cable box without the need for an
HDMI cable to connect the two devices. I plugged the transmitter in the cable box which is
powered by the cable box itself. I then plugged the square receiver into an electrical
outlet behind the TV to give it power and ran a small HDMI cable from the receiver to the
TV. I thought I was goiong to have to go though a bunch of technical steps to get
connection, but the sysytem worked like plug and play instantaneously. Anyone who wants to
mount a TV somewhere and does not want to go through the mess of running HDM cables, this
is for you. Caveat, you do need an electrical outlet where your TV is going to mounted and
the receiver will be powered though.

Wirelessly send whatever is on your computer screen to your TV. I use it with a Mac
laptop, but it can also be used with Windows laptops and desktop computers. All you need
is an HDMI port on your TV, and an available HDMI port and USB port on your computer. With
Mac, you may need to get a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter if your Mac doesn't have an
HDMI port, but that's cheap and you should have it no matter what. Set-up was so simple.
First, plug the main unit (square shaped device) into an HDMI port on your TV. Next, plug
one end of the included USB cable into the dongle (black stick that says Nyrius), and the
other end of the USB cable goes to your computer. Finally, insert the dongle into an HDMI
port on your computer. As stated earlier, for Macs with no HDMI port, you will need a Mini
DisplayPort to HDMI adapter to put in between. Hope this helps. Enjoy this awesome product

What can I say, the Nyrius Aries Prime works just as advertised. We are using the unit in
a large church meeting room, where several different users have found occasion to use the
transmitter. Since the capability of users varied it was important that the unit be easy
to set-up and use. The unit has proven to be just that, it is easy to set up and so far we
have used it with a computer a tablet and an I-Mac all without problems. I tried another
more expensive option; users found its to be difficult to set-up and it was problematic
from the first day it was installed. I highly recommend the Nyrius ARIUS Prime as a HDMI
wireless transmitter option, it is easy to set-up, with a HDMI connection the screen
reproduction on a wide screen projector is perfect with little or no latency and to date
the unit has been trouble free.

I've been using this product for nearly a month now and have been completely satisfied. It
functions plug and play. There's no software install. I've watched multiple BLURAY 3d
movies (the hobbit FTW!) without any stuttering, interruptions, or loss of signal. I plug
directly into my desktop computer or laptop's HDMI port and it streams the signal to the
projector. I wanted a clean set up without cables capable of handling high bandwidth and
got exactly what I was hoping for. I couldn't be happier.
As a side, I did notice the directions mentioned not having this device within 10ft of
your WiFi router as it will interfere with the signal quality and range. My set up is
nowhere near my router so I can only say it works amazing when it's not close!

I bought the Aries for use in my RV. The HDTV in the RV bedroom is mounted on the ceiling
and is powered by 12VDC. There is no 115VAC outlet anywhere near the TV. The RV is new and
I didn't want to try to install a 115VAC outlet or string a long HDMI cord across the
ceiling. Luckily, the TV has an extra USB port to power the Aries Receiver (5VDC) as does
the Dish 211z HD receiver to power the Aries Transmitter. The installation was simple and
the unit worked perfectly right out of the box! The HD video and sound are very good. The
Aries transmitter and receiver are only about 10 feet from each other. I tried a HDMI
cable to check the sound and video and when using the Aries I can't see any difference. I
am very happy with the Aries!

This is my 2nd one bough from Amaxon. It is a great tool for transmitting the signal from
your Satellite receiver to another room. However please make sure you have HDMI output
splitter if you want to watch simultaneously on both TVs. Otherwise it should be great. I
have noticed that if the room in next to the room where you put the transmitter you are
ok. However as you increase the distance and walls are in between then you are likely to
lose quality. Nevertheless it is a wonderful tool to have when you dont want to buy 2
subscription in you house. Please note that channels are only changed on the original
satellite receiver or the equipment being used as transmitter

This works great! Seriously. There's nothing like going from my computer in a separate
room to the big screen in my living room. I had a couple of problems at first, but I
googled a manual, They didn't include the manual, so I had to find one on my own. You will
probably need the manual. If your computer and big screeen both have HDMI plugins then it
will most likely work. I didn't bother mounting the receiver as it works just fine up to
30 feet. I just lay the receiver on a shelf between the computer and the big screen.

Since I didn't always need this function, I needed to connect and disconnect the cable

Solved our problem: how to broadcast our HD Cable signal across the room without wires?
This is excellent; the signal is transmitting without interruption through our couch
across the room (~15 feet away). The transmitter derives its power from the USB port of
the cable box- so no need to plug it into the wall (better than Belkin, which we had
previously). I love how the transmitter can be quickly unplugged & then connected to a
laptop for streaming YouTube videos, NFL games, etc.
Both the transmitter and receiver are tiny & discreet. Setup was a breeze, once I figured
out that the transmitter needed the USB cable for power.

Excellent product - very easy to install and operate, no noticeable latency, and range
estimates are accurate. We use to broadcast cable TV from the cable box to the LED TV
mounted on the wall. The receiver comes with an A/C adapter for a power source, but if you
have a spare mini-USB cable you can plug it directly into a USB port on your TV or other
device. I initially had it installed on the edge of the published range and had a few
intermittent signal issues (also tried the A/C adapter for this application to make sure
its absence wasn't causing issues), but after moving a little closer I've had no issues
and love the product.

I've tried several HDMI wireless transmitters for screen mirroring in my workplace. This
one far and away outperforms the others.
It has consistently worked with no fuss on every laptop we've tried and it unfailingly
connects to the TV's in our conference rooms. Just bought a second for my office for
smaller gatherings.
Performs as advertised every time, on devices running Windows 7 and 8.1. Connection (audio
and video) has been stable within 30 feet (I have no need to use it with greater
separation). It even did a very nice job streaming Hulu and YouTube. I haven't tried it
for gaming and don't expect to.

I've been using it for 2-3 weeks. This is working as advertised so far and I pretty much
like it. I use it to send signals from a cable tv settop box to my TV, which is about 10
feet away. The settop box is sitting next to my wifi AP which uses the 2.4Ghz band, but
apparently there's no interference. (This product seems to be using 5Ghz.) The delay is
unnoticeable at lest in my usecase (just watch TV) and I haven't seen any disruption. The
only downside is it sometimes take a while (30+ seconds?) before the connection is
established after powering on the settop box, but it's not that much a big deal for me.

Replaced a failed Actiontec system that allowed laptop to display screen wirelessly to
hdtv. That system used an USB dongle on the laptop to send the signal to a receiver
attached to the hdtv. This system uses a HDMI dongle powered by an USB connection at the
laptop to the receiver attached to the hdtv. The display, time delay, etc. between the two
is like night and day. This system is worth the extra price (~$170 verses ~$90).
The only issue I had with the system was my laptop only had a mini-HDMI connection so I
had to buy an adapter but that is an issue with the laptop.

I rarely post reviews but thought this product needed on. It's just as advertised, I have
this going about 10 feet through one wall and it's flawless. Turn on the tv and the unit
is on and ready in about 5 seconds. Nothing else I have tried has worked as good as this!
Unfortunately I cannot run a HDMI cable (cinderblock construction) and this is the next
best thing!
One warning it's only 10 feet through one cinderblock wall. I tried putting in a cabinet
to hide and the connection was too weak. Instead it's behind TV and works flawless. I 100%
recommend.

It's a fantastic product for Windows laptop owners...
Also connects to Cameras... yes.... just use a micro hdmi converter
Both the receiver and transmitter get a bit heated... So you might want to run that Air conditioning a bit lower...
One point which nobody mentions is that... There is a small mini USB power cable for the transmitter, which needs to be plugged in all the time when in use. So if you are finicky about a wire dangling next to your keyboard... you might wanna think again...

For anyone looking for a simple wireless HDMI setup for home or office, this product works great. First, it connects via HDMI (though it requires an open USB port for power), so there are no drivers to install like there would be on similar products utilizing only USB output. It is for all intents and purposes a cordless HDMI "cable," so you can plug it into anything with an "HDMI out" port. The video playback is high speed and virtually seamless (within the specified working distance, of course) so you will be more likely limited by the speed of your video card than by the wireless signal of the ARIES Prime.
This device also does audio, as any HDMI should. I noticed no problems with the audio, other than the fact that there was a noticeable lag of about 3 seconds once audio began playing before the device began transmitting the audio signal. This may be due to a built in feature not to transmit audio until there is actually audio playing back (maybe to preserve power/bandwidth?). This was the case with the laptop we have tested this on in one of our conference rooms, but I have not tested this yet with a Blu-ray player. If using this with a laptop, be sure to set your primary audio device output to the HDMI audio controller on your computer if you wish to output audio to a TV.

Excellent product, once you realize the small part that looks like a USB stick or a Chromecast actually plugs into the SOURCE, not your TV. The company should silkscreen SOURCE or Transmitter onto that part, and DISPLAY or Receiver onto the large box that plugs into the TV. I see other reviewers making the same statement here so I know that I am not alone!
Also, I think it is pretty cheap of Nyrius to not include a cheap ($1 or so to add it) USB power plug in the box. I'm sure they expect some of their customers will shoot video from a laptop with a free USB port with this device, but I am also sure many will be sending video from cable boxes, AV receivers, or game systems where USB ports are less readily available. Not the end of the world, but annoying when I realized that I would have to buy one, or borrow one from another device.
EDIT: This usb power plug thing is more of a hassle than I realized. I tried a 500ma and 1a plug and in both instances the blue light on the Source end would light up and seem like things were working but then it would never connect, or if it did connect then I would get large green blocky patches in the video. Swapping out for a higher quality 2.1a usb power port solved all of these problems. This merely reinforces my earlier comment about it being "cheap" of Nyrius to NOT include this part in a $200 product!!
I was able to transmit video from one room to another, and even one floor of the house to another, without any trouble. The range topped out around 20-25 ft through some walls and may be longer with fewer obstructions. I did not notice interference from other devices as mentioned by a business user. It worked great with various sources including a Raspberry Pi and multiple displays including a projector.

The Nyrius ARIES Wireless HDMI has worked flawlessly since I have used it. A couple of
notes...
1) The receiver runs extremely hot. Make sure you have good ventilation
2) When pressing the power off button, I was unable to turn the unit off. Not a biggie but
still annoying
3) I was forced to purchase an HDMI extender cable as the transmitter was on the thick
side and would not plug in to my computers card directly as the DVI plugs were in the way.
This was the case on two different cards. Not a big deal.

Replaced a MyWirelessTv 2 with the Nyrius ARIES Prime in order to avoid costly electrician
alterations to my new home. The picture quality far exceeds the quality of the MyWireless
TV 2 and the remote control even using my Logitech Harmony universal remote is fantastic
(unlike Tv2 which was horrible). This product is best used in the same room and is very
easy to install as it is truly plug and play. I have a brand new tv and was worried about
picture quality but there is hardly a difference between this device and a cable box being
plugged into my tv!

I previously bought the Google Chromecast, which I returned after problems with it locking
up. After reading the reviews on this unit I purchased it and have been very happy with
the purchase. Whatever is on your laptop screen appears on the tv in very good quality HD.
The laptop adapter plugs into an HDMI port and has a USB power cable that is long enough
to reach to the far side of the laptop. The TV adapter plugs into an HDMI port and has a
120v USB adapter to power the TV adapter. Both units get a little warm but don't heat up
the plug at the laptop.
I've now had this unit for 4 months and am very happy with it. No problems at all.

If you need a true HD presentation interface for large HDMI displays, this item is
definitely worth checking out. It is truly a plug-n-play device and works with Macbooks,
laptops, and workstations. I carry it around with all the required cabling and can take my
show on the road without having to carry an LCD projector or TV screen with me. It does
1080p and is very clear and crisp on LED display monitors. we were so happy with the
performance, we also protected our investment with a warranty to ensure we would not be
without this wireless device.

This is a blast. My eyes aren't great but we have a large screen TV. I use this on my
laptop and suddenly all the things I couldn't see that
well are large and clear. I only use it for games and some of the other things that are
sometimes hard to see well on my laptop screen. I will check into other applications.
Also, I had a few questions and went to their web site and used the "chat" feature. They
answered my questions and I felt
better about the product once my concerns were addressed and answered.

I am using this to allow my CEO to give presentations on a large 60" TV in his office.
Works great, all he has to do is connect the adapter to the HDMI port and turn on the TV.
I have it set to duplicate his second monitor so that he can view his presentations from
his desk yet everyone else can see it on the Large screen. When he does not need it he
simply disconnects it and both his monitors work. I am running Windows 8.1 on his
computer, which switches between the 2 monitor and 3 monitor setup flawlessly.

This is exactly what I was looking for, and it does exactly what I want. Now I can use my
big 50" TV as a second monitor for my Macbook by just plugging in the HDMI wireless
adapter and selecting that HDMI input on my TV. I have used this for viewing videos when
people send me links to videos on the internet. If it can pay on my macbook, then it can
play on the TV. I also use it to take technical courses, with the presentation playing on
the big screen while I work through it myself on my macbook display. Sweet!

Was skeptical of wireless hdmi and did all the research I could. Honestly, this is the
only unit I could find enough info on to base a decision and I'm eternally thankful I
bought it. After mounting my television above my fireplace and trying to eliminate all
visual wires I decided it was time to give wireless hdmi a shot. Easy to set up and has
yet to give me a single problem. The transmitter is about twelve feet away from the
receiver and has never cut out not one time. I'd recommended a hundred times over

This unit was compared to devices providing Widi and Chromcast support and found to be one
of the best solutions. The Aries Prime was used to transmit various types of media from a
low-cost laptop to an HD TV and never failed to deliver a perfect image and robust audio.
The installation was nearly effortless and worked the first and every time there after.
If you require a means of transmitting your PC's screen image to a TV, this is one of the
best solutions on the market.

I delayed buying this because I was afraid once it arrived it would sit in a box too
difficult to figure out how to put together and use, but my son had it unpacked, setup and
running in a matter of minutes! I didn't even have time to offer to help it was so easy!
It opened our living room up and made a ton more space not being tied down to outlets. We
designed our living room the way wanted it, not how outlets and plugs dictated we do. I
highly recommend this product...#weloveit

I love this product! it is zero latency indeed... No delays on hdmi 1080p transmission...
I am using this to connect my laptop to my home theater projector so that I could have a
totally wireless home theater systm, and this does the job very well. The transmitter
automatically connects to the receiver once the laptop is turned on, and transmission
begins.... Also the receiver automatically shuts-off if the project is off. Set-up was
easy, just plug and play, that's it...

Worked on the first try without any special syncing procedure. We bought this for a
corporate conference room to make everything look tidy when doing presentations. You can
power it off a second USB mini cable if your TV has a USB port, which lets you hide the
power cable. It looks great and works incredibly well, but it is a bit on the expensive
side. If you don't mind a bit of lag or set up hassle, get a
Chromecast/Miracast/AppleTV/whatever.

Works GREAT! We tested it using YouTube and could see an occasional dropped frame but
nothing anyone would complain about using wireless unless you were expecting high frame
rate gaming which I don't think it was designed for in the first place. If you are a
business, doing a presentation this is a perfect solution to avoid using your network at
the same time helping to free up bandwidth that could hinder your presentation refresh
rate.

Been looking for a solution to mount on the ceiling with my projector so that I didn't
need to run a hdmi cable from the projector down. I was originally iffy on purchasing this
as I read and got mix reviews, but ended up getting one and it has worked flawlessly so
far for the last 2 weeks. Couldn't be more happier. Now I'm able to switch the hdmi dongle
around and use my projector. Setup was a breeze, simple plug in and turn on power.

This product worked as advertised. Specifications indicated it would work up to 30 feet and it did indeed. The directions were not very good until I saw in small print that the installation manual was on line. That helped a lot. There is some variability with the device in regards to sound. It seems that if the cable box is turned on and the hard wired TV is not, then turning on the wireless connected TV works fine with both sound and picture. If the hard wired TV is on and then one turns on the wireless connected TV then the sound for some reason does not connect. However, simply unplugging the HDMI cable to the wireless TV and plugging it back in allows the sound to reconnect. Not a big deal. Other than a few quirks with installation (like the USB line has to be connected to the USB input on the cable box then to the sending unit in addition to the HDMI cable from the cable box to the sending unit) we have been very happy with the unit. No need for drilling through walls to bring in a cable line. And you get all the benefits of your cable box like HBO which we would not get if we had a basic cable line running just basic cable.

I can happily report that this device works well, I have not experienced any lag in time
nor drop outs. The HD picture is what you'd expect from using a cable. I'm using it to
receive video in 2 rooms from one source, which means one less cable box for me. The box
would cost $15 per month, so it will pay for itself in a little over one year and not
having to run cable through walls is a blessing. I highly recommend this product.

This product delivers as described. I was looking for a wireless HDMI solution for a
projector in the back of the room to connect to multiple input sources in the front of the
room (below the screen), dint want to run a HDMI wire to the back. Worked perfectly with
sources in the room. There was a little bit of noise in the picture when I used a source
in a different room not too far away, but I dont mind it too much.

I have been this product for about a month. I connected it to a projector in the roof,
which is about 20 feet from the receiver which sits inside a small entertainment center. I
have several devices connected to the receiver, and without fail it has connected each and
every time... Picture quality is amazing, I didn't notice any different from having an
actual cable connected. Very happy with this purchase.

We have 12 of these deployed on 3 floors and they have simplified our cabling retrofit (or
lack of). They are easy to install and that they don't need any software or connection to
the LAN, it was our low cost solution versus other wireless solutions. The only suggestion
I have is the supplied power supply's size should be smaller to allow for tighter monitor
placement on wall mounts.

Works exactly as advertised. Completely plug and play, no downloads required. I plugged
the device into multiple computers in our office and they all began broadcasting to the

adapter for HDMI Mini and Micro as many computers now use these rather than the full size
HDMI.

An easy plug and play setup. I have had it installed for about 5 days now, and it has
worked flawlessly. Eliminates wires to or from the tv. I have the sender attached to the

cable into a port on the back of a Vizio 65 inch 3d tv. So far everything is perfect.

Was very skeptical about this product as I've had bad experiences with hard wired hdmi
switchers in the past so how would WIRELESS HDMI work??!!! Well I don't know how but it

UPDATE:
CWD Customer Service contacted me shortly after I left this original review below and
offered to exchange my unit for a new one. I was traveling a lot for business at the time
and wasn't able to return it until some time later. Lisa, the CWD Customer Service rep
continually followed up to make sure I received the pre-paid label and offer assistance.
The delays were my fault, but after finally getting the unit back to them, a new one
arrived several days later. I'm happy to say it has worked flawlessly. Audio and video
sync perfectly, the audio never drops, and the transmitter and receiver do not overheat. I
get a great 1080p signal to my flat screen TV with no issues. It's obvious I received a
defective unit initially and I couldn't be more please with both the Customer Service and
new Aries Prime, and have changed my rating from 2 to 5 stars. This is a great product and
I love no longer having to deal with HDMI cables running everywhere!
Original review:
The device is dead simple to set up. Just plug the power cord in and the HDMI cable from
the receiver into the TV HDMI input. Then plug the transmitter into the HDMI out port on a
laptop, DVD player, etc. The transmitter requires power thru either an AC adaptor, or a
USB cord plugged into a powered USB port. Unfortunately my experience has been from the
start that it only works for about 10 to 15 minutes. After that the TV goes black for
about 20 seconds, then the video signal will return, but with no audio. If left running,
it repeats this again and again every 10-15 minutes. You have to completely power cycle
both the transmitter and the receiver each time in order to get the audio signal back.
I've tested it on several laptops, three DVD players and two different TV's, all with the
same results. I've been back and forth with the manufacturer's customer service who keep
telling me to try testing different setups even though I've asked them to replace it with
a new one. Both the transmitter and the receiver get very very hot, even though I don't
have them in an enclosed space. It's been just almost a month with these issues and I've
not been able to get the seller or the manufacturer to provide and exchange or an RMA to
return it. I would not recommend the ARIES Prime.

Excellent device. Works out of the box as described. Very fast setup. It is basically plug

the way my entertainment center is virtually wire free and I could position my TV in a
spot with no cable connection.

We wanted to use this to hook up to a TV in our conference room for the business. Just got
done unpacking it and plugging it in and it works great. Just to let you know I am running
Windows 7 professional on a Lenovo V570 computer and the box is hooked up to a 39" Sanyo
FVE3963 Television.
Not only does it display the picture from my computer flawlessly, but the sound is great
also. The computer that I am using is about 15 feet away from the TV and we also have a
Fortinet WiFi saucer in the room. I have used the Nyrius all day without any issues. I
definitely recommend if you are thinking about using this as opposed to a projector in
your office.

I bought this to transmit the signal from my DirecTV box downstairs to a television upstairs. I tried to go from the room directly below to one on the second floor having read success stories from others about doing so, but the signal could not make it through the first floor ceiling (wood and carpet). I couldn't seem to get the full 30 foot range to come in even in direct line-of-sight, audio is especially poor when received from longer distances with constant crackles and pops. Ultimately I got the transmitter and receiver positioned just right downstairs and upstairs along the staircase to receive a near perfect audio/video signal, and then ran a 50 foot HDMI cable behind the wall to the room I needed. So I ended up still with a pseudo-wired setup but the wireless transmitter did save me from having to run wires up walls and through ceilings, I just wish it could have gone through the floor which had a distance of 15 feet straight up. If you are trying to broadcast from the same room this will work great, but if you want a signal elsewhere in the house you'd be better off buying the more expensive whole home solution from this company.

Seems to work well so far. Business environment - it was much easier than running 40+ ft of HDMI from the TV to the middle of the conference table. Streaming the screen shows small but noticeable delay (<1s), works ok if you only watch the second screen. Occasional glitchy video streaming (that is, playing a youtube video over the wireless HDMI) - artifacts show up regularly. Still watchable, just less than ideal - I wouldn't use it to watch a movie. Some quick distance tests revealed an interesting downsampling that happened seamlessly as the transmitter got further - we tested ~10ft -60ft. Dynamic compression kept the stream up, albeit at degrading quality with distance. I like that - no cutoff as soon as you get out of the ideal range - still usable in a pinch. Would be 5 stars if less delay and video glitches were less obvious.

Using this unit to connect my DirecTV HD DVR to my 50" Visio LED. The both units are

I appreciate the simplicity of the device. I simply plugged the television into the
receiving unit using a standard HDMI cable. I plugged the transmitter into the MAC or PC
(I used the included power supply) and it worked like a charm. This is my second device
from Nyrius. Both were reliable and produced a sharp picture and crisp sound.

I purchased the Nyrius ARIES wireless HDMI transmitter because I canceled my cable
television subscription (due to the outrageous prices they started charging) and started
watching shows off of the internet, so instead of having the HDMI cable run across the
floor from the computer to the TV, we use this device. The quality is just as good as when
we used the wire and there is no lag of any kind.
I would definitely recommend this item to anyone else looking to get rid of the HDMI cable
they are using, it works very well.

I didn't know there was a wireless HDMI until I checked on the web. I read the reviews and
they were all supportive of buying and trying an HDMI wireless connection for our flat
screen TV. The installation was simple and the connection practically automatic. The HD
picture was crisp, sharp and the colors were clean. The picture was just as good as our
hard wired HDMI connection on another TV. I didn't want to have my walls torn up to run an
HDMI cable and I am so glad I opted to try the wireless. It works great.

We use the device in a meeting room with a 50" LCD TV. Individual meeting leader plugs it
into their laptop and is immediately connected and sharing their content on the screen.
The nice this is that no drivers are required. The 30ft limit line of site is fairly
accurate. If you use this with another device or computer that is outside the room, walls
will cut down the distance considerably. Inside our 20 ft long meeting room there is no
issue and the signal is solid. If you are using with a computer you need to turn off
Overscan on your TV or the edges will be cut off.

I really needed to go from my cable box to TV in a spot where it wasn't going to be possible to put the cable box. I had a super slim samsung that's bug like a picture on the wall. The outlet and cable box are recessed in well. But now, local cable go requires cable box so what to do. I ordered this and like it says, out of box, plugged into back of cable box and receiver into Tv and within moments, had full HD on my TV. It works as described. Only issue I'd how to power the receiver. It said USB powered but it only comes with a bigbAC adapter so I'm looking into how to fix that, still, great picture on TV. Only 4 stars cause of power to receiver. Should have been clearer in all descriptions.

We use it to display a hidden desktop computer on a Vizio 80" TV. The distance is about 20-25ft, through one wall, and it works great for the most part. We have had one issue where the transmitter and receiver seemed to have disconnected from each other (or else the signal was lost for some other reason), and we had to mess with it for quite a while until the signal suddenly came back up. That has been our only issue in nearly 2 years of use.
Not a completely flawless device, but as far as wireless HDMI goes, it's the best I've come across for the price.

Awfully pleased with this device. Plug-and-play setup. compact size. Picture quality very
good to excellent depending on the source (Laptop/Desktop computer).
The 90 Degree HDMI Adapter provided with the unit proved to be useful, convenient.
Initially I was concerned because both, receiver and transmitter appear to be getting
warm. Upon repeated observations and based on previous experience with electronics I would
say this should not be a matter of concern.
Specifications indicate a 30ft range. So far I have used it from a distance of approx. 30
ft, not in direct line of sight, behind a wall. Not a problem.
Power supplied from a USB Port is sufficient for the transmitter. This isn't the case for
the receiver, however. So I had to use one of the two AC adapters included in the package.
Not a problem there either.
So pleased with the Nyrius Prime, I decided to order me the Nyrius ARIES Home+ as well for
more permanent setup in the house and for longer range.
Additionally, the Nyrius ARIES Home+ receiver's USB port allows you to connect your
wireless keyboard and mouse so you have full control over your laptop or desktop computer
from the comfort of your living room. This is an added attraction.
The trade off is, the ARIES Home+ may not be as portable as the ARIES Prime. Each has its
advantages.
If you shop carefully, you may be able to find either unit at appealing prices from a
reputable source, such as Amazon, B&H Photo, etc.

The purchasing of this product was for the benefit of low budget film making - if you are
not interested in this product for this reason this information may or may not be of use
to you.
We purchased this product for transmitting video signal from our Hdmi capable cameras to
and external monitor for AD/focus puller will working in the field. Best move we've ever
made.
We are currently utilizing this model for several functions in the office and in the
field.
Pros
Product works as advertised - 30 feet is pretty accurate with real time signal response.
Works with usb power (if you don't have a battery brick - use a USB portable power pack
will last you a full day of shooting)
Comes with Hdmi L shaped adapter for fitting tight spots.
Works right away without software.
Cons
Receiver is a little awkward for placing in your pocket, small places, etc (the unit is
actually not huge but was not optimal size for our needs.)
Would be better to get the next model up which comes with more range in a smaller package.
Other Uses: We are currently using it with our editing machines. An hdmi supported laptop
with a HDTV makes a nice and cheap way to create an external monitor on the road.

I frequently watch foreign online streaming TV services, live and recorded clips, on my Sony laptop. To watch the same on my HDTV, I had to string an HDMI cable from the laptop to the TV, which was OK, but having a stiff HDMI cable across the living room floor was not an ideal situation. Plugging in the Nyrius transmitter into the HDMI and USB ports of the laptop and the receiver HDMI cable into the HDMI port of the TV (and the USB cable into the USB AC wallwart) solved the problem, even though the direct line of sight of about 20 ft. was obstructed by some furniture. The connection works well.
But ,surprisingly, the size of the TV display over the Nyrius HDMI wireless link was different than the size with a direct HDMI cable. I had to go into the the Radeon video card adjustments of the laptop (by itself not an obvious procedure) and adjust "overscan" to fill the HDTV screen.. At the very least Nyrius should have a warning about display sizing in their manual.

My Nyrius Wireless transmitter and receiver system works great. It is a pleasure to be
able to view my computer on my large tv screen with out having to run a cable from the
computer across the room and attach it to the tv . I was always tripping over the cable
and disconnecting it from the computer. my wireless HDMI transmitter and receiver has
eliminated that problem and it is simple too hook up. It was just what I needed .I highly
recommend it to any one that watches streaming video on there computer. With Nyrius
wireless system you can now watch it on your TV. It is reliable and easy to use. A
satisfied customer.

I'm not one for reviews but after seeing this product in a video blog site for a cheap fix
for external monitors... I had to try it.
I got this shipped to my office and the day I got it I took it into one of the conference
rooms and plugged it in and IT WORKED! No hassles at all. I took it transmitter down the
hall with about 4 concrete walls in between and it still worked! I later took it out on a
video shoot and hooked it up to my Canon 5D mkIII and sent it to my director who was
viewing on a Marshall field monitor and a good city block away and still no issues.
I finally had issues when I was testing far distances and a lot of walls but what I am
using it for (remote monitors) its works great! my clients love being able to be mobile.

I gave this product 5 stars because I could find nothing negative about the product. If
you want to mirror your PC/Laptop on your HDTV/Smart TV, this device is the ticket
Worth the price.

Works as advertised. The signal has to go through a 14" thick wall with electrical and HVAC
ductwork, but it is only 10' away from the LED flat screen. Who knows how it performs if
it were further, but for me it was perfect. The only problem I had related to the Charter
receiver. The USB port for transmitter power is immediately to the right of the HDMI port
for the transmitter. Because the power cable comes out of the right side of the
transmitter, I had to use a separate USB power supply (like the one that charges your
iPhone) and plug it into the power outlet. If the USB port had been on the left side of
the HDMI port I would not have had that problem.

I was trying to cut back on my cable bill and my tv didn't have internet so I purchased
this. So far it's GREAT! I use it in my living room to stream movies. Very simple set up.
I have moved my laptop to different rooms and still gotten a signal but wouldn't promise
that. If you get signals through walls it's a bonus. It is advertised "line of sight".
I would recommend this to anyone looking for a high quality "wireless HDMI" connection.

So far so good, Seems to have excellent range and has been reliable. Without the need to
install software, this is every plug and play and makes it so anyone can use it that has
HDMI. Nothing to complain about with it.

I'd really slammed this product until I figured out what was going on. Weird interface with the Intel HD 3000 laptop video cards. The solution to "It wont clone" is, right click on the desktop and choose NVIDIA control panel. Uncheck analog display, then right click on the display graphic "1" and choose clone to "3". SHAZAM!
To switch audio back at forth between sender and receiver, right click on the audio icon in the system tray and choose playback devices. There, you can choose which one to make the default. Switch the default as required for the situation.
In this case for my "sofa control center" I've run what we used to call a "snake" back in my band days to pull hard wired HDMI, Ethernet, and telephone across the living room floor using a trip protector. I'm keeping the Nyria product. Both audio and video are rock solid, hiss and, flicker free.
I'll figure out some devious way to use this devise in the near future. Can't give it 5 stars because the transmitter does run quite hot and I wouldn't want to use it for a persistent connection.
Five stars to the support staff, whom I got snotty with.

Received the first unit and after it was on for a few minutes the video started blinking. Sent the unit back and received a replacement unit that works. Bought two more units and they work. Would love it if one transmitter would work with more than one receiver.

The product is very good. I'm only using this on average of twice a week for about an hour or 2 during our meeting. The only concern I have is that the unit get pretty hot but without any degradation in performance.

Product was delivered quickly and as advertised. Simple to install and works seamlessly.
If you have an older entertainment system that only has component video and no HDMI, this
will allow you to send the digital signal wirelessly with no delays. A must buy!
Update (3/22/2015) Third unit review: Originally bought two of the ARIES Prime Digital
Wireless Transmitter/Receiver. Both have worked as advertised, but after 6 months one unit
failed. I was satisfied with the performance that I have now bought a third. The new
transmitter/receiver was initially back ordered, but was quickly returned to "in stock"
and was then shipped out. Received the package prior to the estimated delivery date. Will
buy another unit in the future.

Love it. Replaced hard wired projector with 70" TV and Nyrius ARIES. Presentations and
streaming video from computer work great!

To make it work I needed to go into the Intel HD graphics control center (found in your
tray) and go to graphics properties and change some settings. I was about to return this
item and I figured it out.
(Windows 8 is an abomination but enough stating the obvious. I use the Windows 7 shell to
make it appear like Windows 7. A curse be on Microsoft for releasing this turd of an OS).

I have this connected between a Mac Mini and a Samsung 27" HDMI monitor, I use it 100% of
the time and it works very well. There are a few limitations:
o Microwave ovens can interfere with the signal transmission
o If you have two units (I do) they can interfere with each other if they're too close
together. It workable, but they do reset the channels and resync frequently.
These are relatively minor issues. Overall I'm extremely happy with these units. We
fulltime in a motorhome and it allows me to place the Mac Minis in a completely separate
part of the rig and use Mac bluetooth wireless keyboards/mouse pads along with these HDMI
transmitters to move my workstation to a completely separate location in the rig.

HDMI adapter gets pretty warm but does not seem to be adversely affected. It is super
simple to set up with no problems whatsoever. Has not had a single glitch.

I was looking for an alternative as my computer was in a location where I couldn't connect
to my TV using a cable. This worked great.

It was super easy to set up. The laptop and screen we use this with are in close proximity
(about 4 feet of distance) and we haven't had any trouble with it disconnecting.
Would highly recommend. Now we have one less wire cluttering things up.

This is an excellent device. Simple to setup. Just plug it in and selected the HDMI
channel on my AV receiver and it worked perfectly. No issues with signal strength. Have
laptop at one end of family room and receiver at other end. Would recommend this product
to anyone.

I bought this as a Christmas gift (that I benefit from). Now we don't have to be tied down
to wherever the laptop connected to the tv is. This product allows us to have more
mobility than with a laptop tied down to a 3 foot cable. We had to wait a while to write
this review to see if we actually like the product and to ensure it worked easily on both
of our TVs. It does.

Very happy with this. No more wires at all hanging below my tv above the fireplace. I got
a HDMI switch so I can use wireless for all my devices. I have a 3d blue ray player and
the picture is very good.
I will say though to make sure you have a good line of sight between transmitter and
receiver because it does lose signal every once in awhile.

I needed a device to wirelessly send an HD video signal from my PC to my ceiling-mounted projector. I have no built-in WiDi on my PC, and so was doing research on the various devices available to meet my needs. While there are some cheaper devices in the market, these all seemed to have poor reviews with a lot of discontent amongst purchasers and reports of variable consistency with respect to quality and reliability of function.
I discovered the Nyrius line of products via online browsing, and read a bunch of excellent reviews. I decided to give the ARIES Prime a shot, (and it didn't hurt that Nyrius was offering a $50 rebate off the purchase price ;). So far I've been using the product for a week, and I have been totally thrilled with my experience. Setup was super-quick and easy, and I am now wirelessly sending 1080p video to my projector with no noted latency! And it has been working perfectly for my 1080p 3D video too!! Sweet!!! My home theater is now truly complete.
