Worked out of the box. Using between flatscreen above fireplace and cabinet about 8ft away. Transmitter is inside cabinet and receiver is tucked behind TV. Has minor annoyance of renegotiating resolution when changing channels. Probably more a Direct TV/Denon receiver issue than the wireless. Takes less than 10 sec and hits the highest resolution. Current WIFI does not have 801.11ac however new one does so we shall see if there is a 5GHz interference issue. Will simply turn off ac in modem if there is, 801.11n works just fine. -Verified Store
