The one I received didn't work. It turned on once (after many presses at close range) and turned off once (after many many more presses at close range). Never turned back on. I even tried replacing the battery in the remote even though its LED indicator was coming on, to no avail. Mine was defective and I returned it.Also, my intent was to leave the remote outside (to control to some overhead deck/patio string lights). I wanted to be able to turn the string lights on/off without running inside the house. However the remote is clearly not intended to be left outside as there is no seal on the battery compartment and the whole thing would fill with rain. Be aware if this is your intended use. - Verified Store
