I’m very satisfied with my purchase of the Fluance rt85. Setup was very simple and straightforward. The sound is fantastic, I run it through a Denon X1600H with HTD Level 3 speakers and it sounds as good as I could’ve imagined. The build quality is excellent from what I can tell. The adjustable spring feet are a nice plus. For the money, I don’t know if it’s gets better than this. The auto stop feature is a huge plus, I’m not always around when the record ends so this was important to me one way or another. The Ortofon 2M Blue is as good as people say. Absolutely loving the sound that comes from this, old LP’s new LP’s, 180g or 200g LP’s all sound clear, distinct and offer a very wide range. There is ALWAYS better out there, but do you wanna spends 1000’s for a little better? For $499 I don’t think you can go wrong. This is a turntable that will last me years and the only thing to upgrade, maybe to the Ortofon Bronze? Other than that, you get quiet. Perfect rotation speed, acrylic platter Ortofon Blue, speed control switch, auto stop? What else are you looking for?
