I am transferring 50-year-old slides to digital format.The large screen makes it so much easier to see what you are doing, and the probable results of your choices in colour balance and saturation, light, etc. I always save two or three alternatives in RGB and brightness.Nevertheless, the resulting file can lack depth and nuance compared to the original. I use as many as three pieces of software for post-processing to get the best possible results.
