Just buy them. These are great sounding. They strike the perfect balance needed between 1) enough detail but 2) not fatiguing or sharp 3) great warm mids and 4) defined but not droney lows. I have super eclectic tastes and these just always bring a smile to my face. Always. I use them for my desk setup. they are on the big side for that, but they are so much better than smaller speakers, you just need to do it. I always have a sub, but you don't have to with these. A surprising amount of bass is present--I almost didn't notice it when my sub wasn't plugged in. Love the look of kevlar fibers. Great, fun distinctive speaker that gives you much of what you would pay 2-4X the money to get.
