Product Review (submitted on November 11, 2022):

First off prior to a few weeks ago I never heard the word audiophile. I am not taking up the hobby.
I had a stereo system in school in the late 60's / early 70's and somewhere along the line it got
lost in the shuffle but I did keep my records. I am currently studying various record cleaning options
and this summer decided to get a new setup and it came down to Fluance vs U-Turn so I chose the
RT82 upgrade path. I already bought the acrylic platter and someday may upgrade the cartridge to Ortofon Blue
but a lot of my records are mono so I got a mono cartridge elsewhere otherwise I will just use the one that
came with it.

The turntable shipped from the Redmond Washington area to Ohio which worried me a bit but it arrived
very well packaged and looks beautiful. Everything that is supposed to be in the box was.
I was suprised the platter came from Buffalo and was here a day after I ordered it. It is VERY heavy
compared to the metal one that comes with the RT82. It is really cool looking, I am glad I got it.
It adds a lot of quality to the setup.

I am going to use a receiver with phono jacks. I don't really care to go the ampilfier/powered speaker route.
I can not tell you what it sounds like yet because it is still in box. I am not a sophisticated listener but I
like the reference concept after studying it. I just want to crank some tunes and party.
I did read all the the reviews and watched every online video I could find and the feedback is overwhelmingly
positive so it should sound ok for my purposes.
