Big Difference for Me... 0 people found this helpfulI hear a big diference with this weight. That said, I have a $350 Grado cartdrige. And new JBL 86 Classic speakers. My turntable a 1980s Technic. I keeo my records super clean. I wud pay twice the money for this weight. Get it.

Works great and does what it should 0 people found this helpfulI was initially worried about the weight of this product, but I have a Fluance RT85 turntable and it is recommended by Fluance for it so should be fine. Some of the older records that are slightly uneven sit flat when this weight is used making playback sound better and more consistent. Even helps some of the thicker 180 records I have. And of course, it just looks cool when in use as well. I recommend this and actually most of Fluances products!

I bought it because it looks great and who can you trust for turntable accessories more than someone who makes turntables. Spend the extra money and you won’t regret it.

Very Nice Piece Of Chromed Metal 1 people found this helpfulUnless you have a decent turntable, you do not need this and you should put the money you’d otherwise have spent on this toward the purchase of a decent turntable. If you do have a decent turntable, this weight is a nice accompaniment. I can’t say for certain that this hunk of metal with a hole drilled almost dead center (it has a slight wobble, almost imperceptible) improves the sound of my LPs, but I think it does helps level out warped records to a degree. Plus, it’s got a really nice chrome finish and looks great. It’s also the heaviest weight I could find without spending a silly amount of money.
