Most scans are great. Some images are corrupt 3 people found this helpfulI am using the scanner to work through our parent's boxes of 35 mm slides. I have done 4 100 slide boxes so far and most of the scanned images are very good. Some are poor because of the (lack of) skill of the original photographer. A few, 5 out of 100 slides in the last box, created bad scanned images. They look like a distorted scan of the slide, but all washed out in pink. The original of these 5 bad scans look OK on the scanner's screen but result in corrupt image files.. I have tried re-scanning those slides. Same corrupt results. Tried scanning at low resolution. Same result. So my review is that the device is great...95% of the time.

It's OK for the Price 3 people found this helpfulIt is fast to feed and scan images. It produces a 6000x4000 JPEG. It would be nice if it could produce a TIFF file. Also, the way the light is produced, it passes through a "defuser?". The one I received has small scratches that appear in the final image. I caution anyone not to use the cleaning brush as you will add more scratches and render the device unusable. Keep a blower bulb near and blow any hair or dust out of the device. The small scratches I have, while extra work, can be fixed in Photoshop with the new Remove Tool.

You get what you pay for 0 people found this helpfulEasy and fast to use once you figure it out (the user guide is not the best).Feels flimsy, plasticky, and cheap - not the best build quality.Image quality is not great, but would be OK for the price if it weren't for a few issues listed below.- the 35mm mask does not cover the entire 35mm negative frame - so the scan is slightly cropped- the scans appear to be slightly skewed, or out of square. Similar to the 'rolling shutter' effect.- the exposure adjustment is finicky and doesn't always do what you want.Would not recommend it for any semi-serious photography, but OK for scanning some old family vacation snapshots.

It works well but there are some features 0 people found this helpfulThe picture quality is nice, but some of the functions seem awkward. It's a nice quality product for the money but we found the 15-second time-out feature annoying and unnecessary. She wants to look at some other options ergo we are returning it.
