Until I set out to find the best sounding iPod speaker dock under $350. I had already wasted a lot of money on the Dr. Dre boom box, Bose, Samsung, H-K (this was actually ok but wanted better), Def Tech, Jawbone Jambox, & others. Then on Amazon I found the larger floor standing wood Fluance iPod speaker (sorry I forgot the model nbr) & after reading up I decided to take the plunge again (against my wife's wishes since we had so many already).Best iPod speaker decision I've made. Solid construction, simple, good looking, but the key point was the awesome, well balanced sound. It sounded great out of the box, but they are right when they say they get better with time as they need to break in. Great sound out of the box that keeps getting better over the next 10 - 12 hours of use to reach AWESOME sound. Solid bass, clean mid's, & crisp high's. My wife asked me "now are you finally happy" as I had a grin on from ear to ear.Now to the smaller brother, the Fi30: I had a Logic Tech system in my office & it was ok. Then I saw the Fi30 advertised and based on its awesome big brother I had to get it with a great price. Another excellent decision, same solid wood construction, high quality components, & excellent well balanced sound. It is very simple bluetooth speaker, you control everything with your phone or tablet including volume. If you want an equalizer, download one from the app store like I have (there are many). The key point of this speaker is it's Great Sound that gets even better as it breaks in. It's not a portable in the sense that it plugs into a outlet, but if you want a solid, well built, great sounding bluetooth speaker at a great price this is it (forget Bose, they are expensive & sound like a tin can !) You want volume, this guy will rock with no distortion (you can boost it even more with the right app). Our office day starts out with the Fi30 playing rather low with mellower music & ends the day cranking. Either way the Fi30 sounds GREAT !! Isn't that the real reason you buy a bluetooth speaker anyway !!Fluance & Amazon, a great combination (and I write very few reviews but this combination is worth it) -Verified purchase from Fluance trusted store.
