It is easy to pair and displayed as Nyrius BR40 on my list of Bluetooth devices. The range is consistent with what a Bluetooth is which is about 30 ft. It came with a small 100-240V wall wart for power supply and an auxiliary 3.5mm audio cable. If you have an old speaker without a built-in Bluetooth receiver or in our case an old Bose 30-pin iPod dock, tgestion: I would love to see an internal Li-ion battery. The Songo worked exactly as advertised -- utterly plug-and-p 0 people found this helpfulThe Songo worked exactly as advertised -- utterly plug-and-play, no setup to do, immediate connection with my iPhone 5s, and wonderful sound quality. This has breathed new life into my wonderful old Harmon Kardon boombox, and I'll likely buy another two, one each for the other two sound systems in my house. The only reason the Songo doesn't get a full 5 stars is because there is a very brief (1/4 second? 1/8th of a second?) loss of audio randomly during streaming. Uses a standard headphone jack to hook up to your surround sound or speakers or whichever. I loved being able to add Bluetooth to my home surround theater with this. My setup was just before most relievers came with Bluetooth stock so this fixes the problem! I can stand easily 80 feet away on my back patio and roommates have said the sound is still clear from my phone in my pocket. I was looking for a solution to hook up my mobile devices to 0 people found this helpfulI was looking for a solution to hook up my mobile devices to my old speakers, and the Nyrius BR51 seemed to fit the bill. it's not expensive and small/portable enough to place inside my media cabinet. I've only tried bluetooth with my ipad retina; my ipad scanned and connected flawlessly. the volume was smooth and loud, just as I wanted. two downsides: i was not able to pair it with my older android phone, which also supports bluetooth. I think it was because my 3-yr old android phone doesn't support the same bluetooth version but i was hoping Nyrius had backward compatibility. the other downside is when I place my ipad on a cushion (i used it in my living room, and cushion is between the Nyrius receiver and ipad); sometimes the audio would cut in & out. overall i am satisfied with the product and I would recommend it. - Verified purchase from Nyrius trusted store. -
