I was surprised to see in the enclosed "manual" that there was a timer. Not so with this unit. I would have liked that feature. I got this for an antique wedding ring. It was so grimy that I had to repeat the cycle a few times. But then I found out on this website that you need to let the unit cool down after 15 minutes of use. I didn't know that and didn't pay attention to how long I kept repeating the cycle. I would have liked to have seen that warning somewhere on the unit or inside the box. I hope I haven't damaged this thing already.
