Works as advertised 0 people found this helpfulWe put a number of old pieces of jewelry thru the device. We avoided pieces with porous materials, like turquoise, opals, pearls, and corals. It sometimes needed more than one run to do the job; we found that adding a drop —no more— of shampoo or dishwashing liquid made a lot of difference, and a little touch with a toothbrush where the crud was the most stubborn. Removing ancient tarnish on some antique coins was da bomb. Cleaning crud out from under old stones made it possible to wear an heirloom ring without skin breakdown again. Great gadget.
