Interesting combination of sound. 3 people found this helpfulI been around audio for all my life. I’m 72 years old. Back in the sixties and seventies perhaps even now there what was called the west coast and east coast sound. The west coast sound was a little more on the bass side the east coast on the high or detailed sound. Speakers like JBI , Infinity, Cerwin Vega and others were that west coast sound. Companies like Shell, Polk, Dahlquist and others the east coast sound. That said and after owning both east and west coast speakers I find the Fluance signature speakers are are an interesting combination of both sounds. Smooth bass response detailed highs. For eight hundred dollars they are an eloquent looking and fine sounding loudspeaker. I own a pair of Polk Rst9i speakers and a pair of of Mirages OM-9’s. These sound very fine, good balanced sounding loudspeakers. However I believe the Fluance gets the nod. Great bass, clean and detailed highs, sweet midrange. I run the Fluance with a Yamaha 701s inter graded amp, Music Hall2.3 turntable, Cambridge ax-35 single cd player, Integra 6 cd changer. Just a great sound. The workmanship of the Fluance speakers is excellent. A great speaker for the beginner audiophile or someone who has been around a long time as an audiophile. Thanks Fluance, you don’t have to be rich to enjoy good sound. Matthew E. Pelli.

Incredible Bass and treble 2 people found this helpfulHonestly I don't see anything I don't like about these speakers they definitely need a few days to break in but once there ready to be played it's like being in my twenties again at a concert I'm 62 and gave me my youth back mind blowing base incredible treble you can hear the fingers on the guitar strings for the price I don't think you can get a better speaker they're heavy well built and beautiful I look at them everyday and better yet listen to them like other reviews they do need power I have a Sony 100 watt per Channel amp and the speakers could handle a lot more but when they're up to almost max volume the sound is just mind blowing I love them makes my life better and for the price and they're Canadian made I'm totally happy would recommend to anybody and will buy more
