It has a battery backup (you put the battery in) so it doesnt go dead if you lose power. Its an am/fm radio with 2 different alarm settings and they are easy to set.I love this clock! No frills, straight forward and easy to set. It is a little smaller than I thought it would be, but its really no big deal.It shipped quick and was packed well, all at a reasonable price.
