Projection Alarm Clock Radio

Projection Alarm Clock Radio

Convenience, reliability, & modern design come in the form of the EAAC601 Projection Alarm clock by Electrohome. This advanced clock radio automatically sets the time and date and saves all your alarm settings when the power goes out. Plus, with time projection display, dual alarms, temperature display, a large backlit LCD with dimming options, and the ability to play your smartphone, tablet, or MP3 player music, this is the only alarm clock you’ll ever need.

Large 3.6” blue display

View the time/date & temperature clearly on the large 3.6” blue display. The dimmer options (high, low, off) let you reduce the screen’s brightness for those sensitive to light. This alarm clock also displays the indoor temperature (C/F) and the current day/month/year.

Project the time on your ceiling or wall

It will always be in full view from anywhere in the room even when you are lying in bed. This feature also allows you to tilt a full 180 degrees, so you can project the time or even the temperature. The adjustable focus allows the projected time to always remain crystal clear.

Always On Time

This smart alarm clock is preconfigured with the correct time. All you need to do is specify your time zone and it will always be accurate, even after a power outage.

Long lasting battery backup

Restores your alarm settings and automatically adjusts for daylight savings time.

Dual alarms for you and your partner

Set two separate wake times with the dual alarm feature for you and your partner. You can also choose to automatically disable the alarms on weekends, allowing both of you to set your alarm schedule once! and forget it!

This has a feature where the alarm rings at the same time for the week day and separate for the weekend. That is fine except you cannot turn off the feature. I have had several family members read the instructions and turn it off but it comes on again anyway. We want to return it.

I can have the clock face dark so it only projects on the ceiling at night.

Nice clock, didn't have to do much to get it working. Time was off by a few minutes but I fixed it and it hasn't been a problem since. Only complaint is that the projector isn't especially bright, even on the highest setting, so it's only useful at night. Still, it's overall well designed, looks good, and keeps time excellently even after power outages, which is why I bought it.

I never complain, but I am a graduate student and can’t figure out how to use this alarm clock. When following the instructions right in front of me I can not set the time. I can not turn on the radio. I haven’t got the radio to produce static noise, let alone music. The projector is much weaker than depicted. It feels cheap and has a terrible user interface. Totally inadequate, human civilization has been making cheap alarm clocks successfully since the beginning of the industrial revolution and these knuckle heads still can’t get it right!

I’ve had this clock for a few years and love the projection. It works great. But, the temperature part hasn’t worked/displayed for a long time. I’ve tried to go online for support on this but nothing. Too bad, I would love this clock if it weren’t for the temp not working/displaying and the online support not showing any resolution. Good clock. Not great.

I can actually see the clock digits on my bedroom ceiling without putting my glasses on.

After researching sites like Amazon went to the manufacturers site and placed order direct with the manufacturer. Arrived within the date windows as advertised. Easy to set up and impressed with the lighting on the front as well as the ceiling.

I've had this clock for nearly a year.. I starting out liking the clock. It was bright and I loved having the time shining on the ceiling while I'm sleeping. But then, I started noticing a lot of issues. (1) The clock runs fast! Over the course of the past six months or so, the clock has speed up 5 minutes. I should not have to reset the clock every month or two to keep the right time. I have a clock in my office that's older than me (I'm 53 as of the writing of this review) and it STILL keeps good time! Yet a brand new clock speeds up an average of 1 minute a month. May seem trivial, but it's not. (2) The clock is WAY TO BRIGHT at night. It has a dimming feature, but in this day and age it should be automatic. Yet, even on the low light setting, the blue light is harsh when you look at the clock in the middle of the night. I'll never buy a clock with blue lettering again. I think red letters are much bette. (3) Too many multi-function buttons. If the radio is playing you can't dim the screen. The volume up and down buttons are the same as the time forward and back buttons. The buttons change based on the mode you're in. I need to keep the manual handy just to remember how to use the thing. It shouldn't be that complicated! I'm giving this clock away and buying a new one. Yes, first world problems, but...I want a clock radio that keeps time, doesn't make me wide awake if I glance at it in the middle of the night and isn't hard to use, especially when tired.

This alarm clock contains many useful features. While perhaps not necessary these days with alarm functions on phones, those that still prefer alarm clocks will be satisfied with the time projector, alarm controls, thermometer (what I now use this for lol), and brightness settings.

My old alarm clock finally died, so I was in search specifically for an alarm clock that has multiple alarm settings, I found this, and I think it's SO COOL that it shines the time onto the ceiling, so when I open my eyes I can just peek up at the ceiling instead of moving all the way to look at the clock. My only complaint is that I wish the alarm clock radio would stay on for longer than 30 min, if there's a way to adjust that setting I couldn't figure it out, maybe I'll research it more later, but after having this for a few months now, I'm still very satisfied with it, I also like that when it turns on, it starts at a low volume and increases the radio up to the volume that I have it set at, so it's not a sudden loud jolt, it's a gentle increase in noise!
