Excellent value, great sound. 0 people found this helpfulI was looking for simple, medium size powered speakers for my PC which I have hooked up to TV. Those speakers fit the bill. I ordered "Open box" item which was 30% less expensive, they didn't come as used or repackaged, speakers look new to me. I use speakers with Audioquest Dragonfly Black and they sound excellent in my opinion. Bass is not extremely powerful and could be adjusted on remote control along with treble. Lower bass is my personal preference and is a plus to me.I'm not an audiophile but I doubt there are many better options available at this price point. I used to use Bose Companion 20 Multimedia and Klipsch Promedia 2.1 but this speakers have much better sound and overall are more pleasant to listen to.

Excellent choice 0 people found this helpfulI recently regained an appreciation for sitting down at the end of a work week and listening to music. No phones of tablets. I am no audiophile or a person who will tell you in nauseating detail why you need XYZ to listen to music now. These were the right choice, enjoyable, and I am very happy with this purchase .

Surprisingly solid bass 0 people found this helpfulI have enjoyed the sound of these spectacular speakers for almost a year. I started my Bluetooth listening experience by adding a Bluetooth module to my Bose Wave. I bought a pair of Edifier R1010BT for my PC. I liked them a lot and stumbled across these Ai40's and tried them out since Finance offered them for a 30 trial with return shipping guaranteed. The difference in sound, especially the bass response was remarkable. While the Edifier's were one third the price, it probably wasn't a fair comparison. I thought about trying a pair of Ai60's with their addition power and features but decided to keep the Ai40's since I would be using them for my bedroom listening. The stereo separation you get with 2 speakers is so much more satisfying than a Boss Wave. I have been listening to a Boss Wave for almost 25 years and have a couple of them. BTW, Bose's customer service is oustanding. They made me a great deal when my original died after 20+ years. The Bose has been relegated to an great sounding alarm clock now. I find the sound of these speakers very satisfying. While I can't discern the frequency spectrum as other golden eared afficionados, these truly satisfy me to the point I would never be without them. I hope you might feel the same way.

Awesome product for its price!!! 0 people found this helpfulI spent a lot of time researching speakers for a starter record player setup, and these ended up being perfect! They look awesome in my bedroom - I get compliments on them all the time - and they sound great. Sometimes a little crackly, but it's never a consistent problem. The speaker looks great when its on - the 5" driver vibrates which looks REALLY cool. Otherwise, if you set the speakers up in the right direction, you can hardly tell where the sound is coming from. They do a really good job or echoing throughout the room to create a full sound.
