Piece of art!! (too) 1 people found this helpfulGreat product--sounds good and appears well made. I was figuring on eventually hiding it on a cabinet shelf but once I got it and hooked it up I think it looks cool sitting out next to my (Fluance RT83) turntable. The box is all finished in black (except the rear connections) with only a small power indicator lamp lit on the front to show it's 'on'. There's no power switch but I doubt it is necessary. It stays cool to the touch. Nice. Other brands (I have) don't look as nice out in the open. Blends in with the (black) Yamaha receiver. Thanks Fluance!!

If you already have a phono input on your receiver or amplifier ... 9 people found this helpful... just wanted to say that this is NOT likely to sound better than the built-in phono preamp on a lot of receivers, especially vintage receivers or any medium-quality (not the cheapest available) receiver or amplifier. You cannot improve on the quality of these built-in phono preamps for $99. You just can't. This device is designed for amplifiers that do NOT have a phono preamp circuit built-in. If you wish to improve on the quality of an existing built-in phono preamp, you need to have excellent equipment, and spend more like $400+ in order to make an audible improvement.
