"Overall, the sound these loudspeakers produce is just beautiful and beastly. They handle music amazingly well, but they also make movies sound stellar, along with games and TV."

The outer packaging was a little rough due to handling but the product was so impeccably packed they arrived pristine. They sound amazing and look just as good. A welcome upgrade from my bookshelf speakers.
-
Love them, I haven’t enjoyed music since the 70’s.

The XL8F speakers are awesome. Impressive value at $760 (CAD)/pair. These arrived in great condition due to superb packing materials. I was impressed with the feel and quality of the speaker terminals, the isolation floor spikes, and the magnetic front grills. I chose the option to bi-wire the speakers to my amp. I find these easy on my ears and they provide a nice crisp high-end sound that is not in your face, a detailed mid-range and a nice warm low end. These staged extremely well in my space. I chose the lovely finished natural walnut that looks superb and fits so well with my decor. I did reach out to Fluance's customer service desk on shipping and received prompt replies and helpful support from Julie. The bottom line is that the XL8F speakers are exceptional value for money, look wonderful, sound great and customer service is good.

Great bang for buck speakers. I'm very happy with them.
-
8' sub gave disappointing bass, speakers are bigger than I thought. Glue on one of the drivers came loose. Good customer service.
-
Using as a 2.0 speaker system for music with a tube amp for authentic/vintage sound. I have an existing sub woofer hooked up from a different speaker system but don't even turn it on... The down firing woofer in this speaker does an excellent job! From what I have heard I don’t think there is anything out there at this price point, this quality/sound, and size. Would buy again!!! One of my speakers did come in damaged but Fluance's customer service took care of it with no issues.

I received my new XL8F speakers in July 2021 in mint and perfect condition. So these comments are made after 5 months of evaluation.
Although at first glance the look is reminiscent of my old XL7F, the new XL8F towers have a lot of upgraded details. Better looking drivers with a tighter grouping, cleaner look without visible hardware and revised terminals. All nice visual upgraded touches on an already stunning design at this price range.
Performance wise : Better sound signature, more quantity and quality on the frequency response extremities without loosing the smooth mid response.
This is exactly what I was hoping for, bright fine very high frequencies and better lower bass (up to the standard of good 8 inches driver).
They are really able to play music without a sub and this was not the case IMO with the XL7f, now I only use my excellent SVS sealed sub on some occasion (and was seriously recalibrate for the new towers)
I also think the 87db sensitivity seems conservative since these speakers are easy to drive. (with my 80w/ch Harman-Kardon stereo receiver)
My XL7F where very nice for the price but felt a bit of a let down audio wise IMO.
My new XL8f are excellent all around without a single weak spot and I would buy them again without hesitation.
Kuddos to the team who did an excellent job on the revised product.
I’m totally satisfied with my new XL8f towers speakers and I had a stellar costumer support from Brent at Fluance who made several emails to answer my questions prior to my purchase. -
Amazing... Simply amazing... Crisp clear highs and Punch through mids... The down firing driver sends enough bass to rattle my living room... No joke the reference series all together is worth every penny.
-
I am very happy with these speakers thus far. Shipping was right on time and they arrived in great condition. Build quality is very good for the price range. I have them paired with a new Denon stereo receiver with 100 w per channel and that's more than enough to drive them. I am currently using them in a fairly large section of my basement and they sound great. Plan is to move them into a bedroom which will serve as my didicated music room. Would buy them again.
-
Good value great sound build quality is also good.
-
Excellent floor standing speakers. Warm sound with nice clarity and oomph. Beautiful to look at as well. Can't find better floor standing speakers in this price range.

In overall, i am very satisfied with my purchase. I havent done scientific comparison but i compared my feeling with Kef q550 tower vs reference 3way. First i am very disappointed with kef customer support and that was the reason i switched to another brand. Kef Uni-q has engineering issue and exploded during time. back to fluance, based on what you pay sound is good, clear, sub woofer is a good addition, design is nice and white speakers are beautiful, speaker abit big and heavy and box is not really sexy. improvements that i suggest is reduce weight and do better finishing on the box, and probably move subs on sides instead of down firing.
