Excellent speakers for their size 0 people found this helpfulI didn't buy these from Amazon, I purchased them directly from Fluance during a manufacturer sale. I had been eyeing them for years as desktop speakers at my computer/gaming setup. Prior to these I'd been using an aging Logitech 2.1 (if you can even call it that) setup for the last 15+ years. I finally decided to spend the money as I'd been wanting to replace my awful tiny speakers for so, so long. I have a little bit of brand loyalty with Fluance as I have their Hi-Fi line 5.1 system set up in my living room and I really like them, especially for the price point.I'm not an audiophile but I really appreciate quality sound and bad speakers can actually irritate me (irrationally). These are really, really nice. Part of me had to struggle with spending the money on them but I think they'll be worth their asking price over a great many number of years. They're well-built and have a good amount of heft to them. Nothing feels cheap. I got the bamboo and white color which I think looks really sharp. I wish grilles were an option, though. They shipped and arrived in excellent condition with a very minimal amount of packing material. It came with everything you'll need to hook them up, aside from your chosen input method (I used TOSLINK). The 'R' speaker takes power and input. The 'L' speaker takes one speaker wire fed from 'R' and they provide you a generous amount of pre-tinned wire. You can use banana plugs if you want but mine are just screwed directly to the posts. There's also a small remote control with a surprising amount of controls including some bass and treble adjustments among others. I can't comment on the bluetooth connectivity as it's not part of my planned use-case, but it's there and I'm sure it works fine.Again, not an audiophile, so I can't use fluffy words to describe the sound signature, but I'll do my best here. To me they're very full, detailed, and clear. The 5' drivers punch pretty hard with deep and crunchy tones; there's more oomph here at the bottom than I expected. The tweeters sound really clear and I'm noticing details in songs that I ordinarily only expect to hear from headphones. Nothing is tinny or muddy, it just sounds... good and detailed. They can go far louder than I'm comfortable with so volume is no problem with me. My only small complaint is with the volume knob; it rotates in predefined 'clicks' and not a continuous smooth rotation like I'd prefer. My speakers are spaced about 3 feet apart on my desk and I get great, clear sound separation from them which is something I didn't really notice was so poor in my old setup.

We needed to buy speakers and he recommended these and they did not disappoint. Easy set up, wonderful sound quality, very sturdy and well built. A great product that will us years of music enjoyment.

The clarity and sonic range of these speakers is astonishing. I was considering the Ai61's but that would have been too much for desktop use, these are perfect. The selection of inputs and simple design makes these fit perfectly to my needs. Highly recommended!
