This little device made quick work of allowing me to play 0 people found this helpfulThis little device made quick work of allowing me to play bluetooth music through my stereo. I have an older Yamaha amp. I plugged this into the switched outlet port on the back of the amp. As such, the device is powered on when the amp is on and powered off when the amp is off. I then ran a mini-to-rca cable that I already had (it comes with a mini-to-mini cable) between the two devices, plugging it into the CD port on my Amp. I paired the device easily with my Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 tablet and now I can stream music from the tablet anytime I want. It sounds MUCH better than the sound from the tablet speakers. All of this took less than 10 minutes to set up and cost me less than $20 (I bought it during the Amazon Prime day sale). Perfect! - Verified purchase from Nyrius trusted store. -

The sound quality is excellent if your source file is good ( 0 people found this helpfulThe sound quality is excellent if your source file is good (lossless, 25 to 50 mb per song) with a device that transmits with APTX capabilities (Samsung Galaxy note 8.0). I have compared it with a number of other receivers (total 7) with a home stereo system (Denon high end receiver with Klipsch F20 floor standing speakers, optical output). So far this one performed the best for classic music or pure vocal, just slightly inferior to CD (SONY stand alone CD player with optical output. Sony Blue Ray DVD players don't deliver music as good) if you listen really careful. Under the home theater settings (Bose system), the music quality is as good as CD (in stereo). Works very well as a way to play streaming music from a tablet/phone to my older home theater receiver which only has optical/coax inputs. The sound quality is excellent when in direct line of sight. I think some mobile devices transmit better than others - e.g. my Dell Venue tablet (Windows) cuts out if I go around a corner, but in the same location my Galaxy Tab Pro (Android) stays connected. It's also useful if guests want to stream music to my system. Note that only one device can stay paired to the Nyrius so if you have your tablet lying around (and it's connected), but then you decide to stream from your laptop, you have to unpair the tablet or turn off its Bluetooth radio to let the laptop connect to it. - Verified purchase from Nyrius trusted store. -

It syncs quickly as soon as you power it up. It only has the media streaming profile, so my car's bluetooth still works for phone calls. If your car has an older bluetooth car kit that only does phone calls then this is the solution. It does not have an internal battery, so it turns on as soon as you turn the ignition on. It came with an audio jack cable and a 110V AC adapter - if you plan to use it in the car you will need to buy a USB cigarette lighter charger (I bought http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MA4SJHU?redirect=true&ref_=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_1 so I can have a spare USB port to charge the phone). - Verified purchase from Nyrius trusted store. -
