In the fifty years that I’ve been listening to music, many spent doing records, I’ve had good turntables but never one that rises above that level. Enter the Fluance RT85. Thus far I am very very impressed. I have selected much of my vinyl to be records that have depth, nuance, and are regarded as well recorded. The table has made them a revelation. I have moved beyond to older less pristine vinyl and the result has been the same. These records are super quiet as they play. Perhaps due to the Ortofon blue cartridge or the carefully calibrated tone arm which provides enough pressure between stylus and record so as to “extract” the music from the record and leave all of the noise and other stuff back in the groove.I chose the RT85 because I didn’t need a USB out or Bluetooth. I just wanted a record player. The price tag was a bit higher than I initially anticipated I’d spend but there is zero buyer’s remorse here.I give the RT85 my highest recommendation. Did a little deeper if y oh must you won’t be disappointed.

Great turntable! 0 people found this helpfulThe Fluance RT-85 was my choice after doing research for a couple weeks. Paired it with the phono pre-amp and speakers from Fluance. Delivery took a little longer than anticipated due to weather conditions. Pleased with sound quality so far and it will only get better once the stylus and speakers break in. Adding LED lights set the vibe for night listening and look good with the acrylic platter.

I wasn't sure it was going to be an upgrade over my old Technics SL-Q200, but it was immediately apparent that the Ortofon 2M-Blue cartridge was more dynamic and brilliant. The bamboo finish looks fantastic. I like the simple aesthetics. Build quality is solid. The acrylic platter gives the table stability. The auto stop feature is a plus too. Once it reaches the runout groove, after about 30 seconds, it turns off. Overall, a good value, and most importantly, it has me re-engaging with my vinyl collection. Records have never sounded better.

Full satsfaction 0 people found this helpfulNo issue with humming, electrostatics and setup. Ortofone 2M Blue stylus transferers sound to almost perfection. Acrylic plate works well to fight any electrostatics and vibration specially with heavy used records. Antiskating adjustment works great as should . Leveling of the base and type of feet improve total performance of the turntable. Fluance turntable design in all aspects deserve the reputation that achieved in present time on the Market for very good price.
