Flawlessly preserve & share memories that would otherwise be forgotten. Highly recommended. 0 people found this helpfulJust received this product after discovering a treasure trove of 8 mm and Super 8 reel films in storage from my parents' home, dating from the early 1950's. These are large, 7 inch reels, and most of the machines out there only handle 5' or smaller, so this was a real find for me.I was concerned about some of the less positive reviews, reporting issues with film unspooling or becoming tangled, but after processing several 7' reels, I've had zero issues. Old film can be brittle and glitchy --- in my case, these are 70 years old! --- but with common sense handling and following the instructions, it's been a breeze. One time a rough, degraded splice caused the film to stall in place, but I was easily able to move the film gently through and continue processing on the other side of the splice. There is no heat involved like the old movie projectors, so the pause did not affect the film at all.The only advice I'd give is that the rewind process is done by switching the location of the reels and using fast forward, which is fine. However, the instructions still have you threading the film between pegs, although in a simpler route than when processing. I found that to be awkward. After some trial and error, for me it worked much more smoothly to go directly between the reels without using the pegs at all when fast forwarding. Other than that small personal preference, it's working exactly as recommended and advertised. So far, I highly recommend. This is a great way to preserve and share memories!

Very good product 0 people found this helpfulWorks well. but hard to set fill into required slots, not finger friendly. The 8mm an super 8 selector broke off, but I just use a sharp object to mov it. It would be good to adda 'time remaking display.' I had a few instances where the film would not advance. But overall, it works very well.
