Nice player. Looks awesome. Had vinyl from 1980’s that I kept. My gf bought me a player a couple years ago but wanted to get to get a better quality one. This one is very nice.Fred S 5
I bought this for the love of my life who has an extensive record collection but a subpar player. She’s a music connoisseur while I’m an audiophile with a love for good production value that brings the artists’ full intentions to life. She has been overjoyed at its performance and honestly so have I.Eric L. 5
I previously had a Gemini turntable with Audio Technica cartridge and nude elliptical stylus. The Fluance RT82 arrived today and wow, what a difference! It is very quiet and smooth operating, and the ortofon OM10 cartridge tracks excellent. So much more of the music is now present, and I'm hearing things things that I didn't notice before. The bass is strong with a punch yet still well balanced with trebles amd mids. An all around fantastic listening experience compared to my old turntable. Assembly was easy and the instructions were extremely clear and helpful, and the turntable is a high quality build. . I am extremely pleased with this turntable!Scott 5
Super simple to assemble and set up, this is my first experience with a turntable, I'm glad I spend the money for this great product. I compared it with the stir it up turn table and it's day and night!! The cartridge sounds amazing, I paired the turntable with Kanto YU6 and SUB8, great combo.Marc-Andre 5
I bought the Rt 82 for my wifes first unit. Overall set-up was fairly easy and it sounds great.Chris H. 5
The Fluenc turntable is a very impressive package with good sound and great built the pickup haed is good although lakes little beet on the bass and output is little lowHad to balance with my yamaha audio level trim so not so problematic on my set upThe automatic stop at the end of the album side is a great plus.Anyway it is great to explore back my old vinyl colection and some new ones. All in all I would definitely recommend the productRonen_ed 5
Counterweight Indicator ring is difficult for me (66) when balancing to see. Other than that I love it.Auto shut off is very convenient. Great tableanthoy p 5
I love my new RT82 turntable, and I had to reach out to customer service and they were some of the best I have had to deal with anywhere.Nick C 5
Definitely will purchase more from this company.
This TT is amazing. Easy to setup had it running in 20 minutes. Packaging was a-1 and looks awesome. Sounds great on my Yamaha RX-A2080 and klipsch setup. You won't be disappointed with this turntable. Do it push the buy button!Jonathon J 5
HUGE upgrade over the Audio-Technica AT-LP60XBT I purchased after deciding to flirt with vinyl again. Don't get me wrong... it was that turntable that convinced me to dive back in. Perfectly fine starter BUT it's biggest limitation is you can't change or upgrade the cartridge as you can with Fluance. And it's super easy to do with the removable head shell (LP60 is fixed). You can just buy a premounted cartridge and do nothing more than change the head shell and set the tracking force and anti-skate (easy). In hindsight, RT82 would have been a better choice. Superior in every way, the Ortofon OM 10 cart is a vast sound quality improvement with it's elliptical shape. The sound is much more defined. The isolation feet make it easy to have turntable and speakers on same surface with no fear of cranking up the volume. Balancing the tonearm was a snap. Personally, I like the auto-stop function just fine, but it's not an automatic return. The LP60XBT is fully automatic which I appreciate getting back into it.The RT82 does not have a preamp so you do need to have one or buy an RT81/80 that have an installed preamp. Another option is my set up. I have Klipsch The Fives speakers that are also preamp, amp, BT and more. I didn't love those speakers at first but Klipsch now has an app that allows you to tweak the sound AND I paired with a Klipsch sub... with that... chef's kiss!HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Fluance RT82 to beginners and those on more of a budget. I bought a "used" one on Amazon but ships directly from Fluance... it seemed all perfectly new, but saved me enough to buy "The Stranglers: Peaches". The turntable is the exact same as the 83/84 except the cartridge. If you have the clams, you might just buy the RT85 with the Ortofon 2M Blue cartridge or the Nagaoka MP-110.Staci K 5
This is awesome. Love it. Can't recommend it more. All you need to have a great listening experience.J. D 5
All the positive reviews are right - this is a great turntable for $300.Tom C 5
In addition to what others have said, here are a few things that I like that I didn't necessarily expect:
- The ground works! I've had a problem with hum with a number of other turntables and thought it was something I just had to live with because of the old wiring in my house, but the RT82 is almost dead quiet once grounded to my amplifier.
- It came with higher quality connection cables than is usual - no need to upgrade.
- The feet have very fine threads - this makes leveling very easy and precise.
- Auto-stop is great. It does take about 30 seconds to kick in but that's much better than the alternative if you wander off.
- The flip side of auto-stop is that it is also auto-start. The motor starts spinning once you move the tonearm to the left. This doesn't seem to be mentioned anywhere but I like it.
Overall no regrets about getting this and I can't imagine a better turntable at the price. It's definitely superior to the slightly more expensive one that it's replacing as well as a number of others I've had in the past.
From top to bottom, I couldn't be happier. The RT82 is what I was looking for, great looks, function and the sound from the OM 10 Cartridge is a pleasant surprise. Customer Service couldn't haven't been better. From pre-sale to making good on a return, changed the color, they were GREAT.Bob K 5
Be aware that this is a manual turntable. Plays beautifully and was easy to put together. Replaced my 45 y.o. turntable that had more features, but for the price, I am very happy with this baby. Got the walnut base and it's very pretty. Would definitely recommend!TXRosie50 5
First off prior to a few weeks ago I never heard the word audiophile. I am not taking up the hobby.See all reviews Tone Deaf Plus 5
I had a stereo system in school in the late 60's / early 70's and somewhere along the line it got
lost in the shuffle but I did keep my records. I am currently studying various record cleaning options
and this summer decided to get a new setup and it came down to Fluance vs U-Turn so I chose the
RT82 upgrade path. I already bought the acrylic platter and someday may upgrade the cartridge to Ortofon Blue
but a lot of my records are mono so I got a mono cartridge elsewhere otherwise I will just use the one that
came with it.
The turntable shipped from the Redmond Washington area to Ohio which worried me a bit but it arrived
very well packaged and looks beautiful. Everything that is supposed to be in the box was.
I was suprised the platter came from Buffalo and was here a day after I ordered it. It is VERY heavy
compared to the metal one that comes with the RT82. It is really cool looking, I am glad I got it.
It adds a lot of quality to the setup.
I am going to use a receiver with phono jacks. I don't really care to go the ampilfier/powered speaker route.
I can not tell you what it sounds like yet because it is still in box. I am not a sophisticated listener but I
like the reference concept after studying it. I just want to crank some tunes and party.
I did read all the the reviews and watched every online video I could find and the feedback is overwhelmingly
positive so it should sound ok for my purposes.
