The product is well built and worth every penny.First I bought the rt 82 turntable. It sounds very good. The om10 cartridge give great sound for the money.I then purchase the rt 85 with Ortofon 2M Blue Stylus. Noticeable difference.Cleaner and fuller with more base. Definetly worth he extra $200.I do have a pretty superior sound system too and was able to hear the difference right away. Customer service is also awesome

I am enjoying the Fluance 82 very much!
-
Excellent well balanced sound that brings the best out of your record. Simple elegant design. Cannot be beat for the price.
-
I absolutely love the RT82!! I had an AT-LP120 USB for over 10 years and felt like now would be the perfect time for a change. I'm so glad that I switched over to Fluance for the the true Analog sound and quality build. I know this turntable will last me many years to come!
-
Love this upgrade! Decent sound, simple operation, and super stable speed (love that!!). One big thiang and one little thing. The big thing, Fluance says the cartridge comes prealigned and you don't need to check it I trusted that... However, after about 15 hours of not sounding as it should (I thought it was stylus wear in), I checked the alignment and it was waaaaay out. So yeah, donr trust that the cartridge comes prealigned, mine certainly didn't! I hope I didn't mess up my break in period!!! One other thing, the tone arm lifting handle feels pretty cheap (a little attention could be given to that one piece).

I’ve heard a lot of good things and it was all true . I love my rt82 from the looks down to the quality. Highly recommend
-
I bought this for my musician son after our old Techniqs died. He loves it. No issues and a great turntable.
-
The RT82 came within 3 days, packaged beautifully with great instructions that led to an easy setup. I run mine through a tube amp, into a preamp, and it sounds fantastic! Hell of a product that's easy to use and looks super clean.
-
This is my first real turn table. I had no idea what I had been missing. I chose to go with the 82 for cost considerations with the idea to upgrade along the way. Assuming the needle lasts a few years, I’ll get the blue then. Platter when it feels right. It’s a killer piece of equipment.
-
I had a problem with the RC cable . I contacted Fluance and Julie, their support rep, addressed the issue and sent a replacement cable.
-
Nice player. Looks awesome. Had vinyl from 1980’s that I kept. My gf bought me a player a couple years ago but wanted to get to get a better quality one. This one is very nice.
-
I bought this for the love of my life who has an extensive record collection but a subpar player. She’s a music connoisseur while I’m an audiophile with a love for good production value that brings the artists’ full intentions to life. She has been overjoyed at its performance and honestly so have I.
-
I previously had a Gemini turntable with Audio Technica cartridge and nude elliptical stylus. The Fluance RT82 arrived today and wow, what a difference! It is very quiet and smooth operating, and the ortofon OM10 cartridge tracks excellent. So much more of the music is now present, and I'm hearing things things that I didn't notice before. The bass is strong with a punch yet still well balanced with trebles amd mids. An all around fantastic listening experience compared to my old turntable. Assembly was easy and the instructions were extremely clear and helpful, and the turntable is a high quality build. . I am extremely pleased with this turntable!
-
Super simple to assemble and set up, this is my first experience with a turntable, I'm glad I spend the money for this great product. I compared it with the stir it up turn table and it's day and night!! The cartridge sounds amazing, I paired the turntable with Kanto YU6 and SUB8, great combo.
-
I bought the Rt 82 for my wifes first unit. Overall set-up was fairly easy and it sounds great.

FAQs
An amplifier is only needed if you’re connecting the turntable to passive speakers such as the Signature Series Bookshelf Surround Speakers.
If you’re looking for an option without a separate amplifier, the Ai40 Powered Bookshelf speakers fit the bill.
With the Ai40, all you need to do is connect the included RCA cables to your preamp, then to the speakers and you’re ready to listen to the music the way it was meant to be heard.
If you intend to use your Reference series turntable with powered bookshelf speakers such as our Ai40 model, a preamp will be required.
The preamp will boost the signal to line level (similar to a headphone jack) so you can play it on speakers with RCA or AUX inputs.
If you have a home theater or stereo receiver/amplifier, you will need a preamp if the amplifier does not have a PHONO input. If you have a PHONO input, you may have a preamp already built in. Be sure to refer to the manufacturer’s specifications or manual for confirmation!
This design choice was made with a number of factors in mind. The main reason was to separate electronics from the turntable’s signal path to maintain the purity of the analog signal. Many listeners also like to customize their listening experience and choose specific components such as preamps based on unique sonic qualities. Using separate components also allows for optimization of cartridge and phono stage compatibility. If you upgrade your cartridge in the future, you can pair with an optimal phono preamp to maximize performance and achieve the sound profile you desire. !
These new turntables include a servo belt drive motor.
What does this mean for you?
This means that you have a sensor checking and adjusting the speed of the motor up to 500 times a second to make sure the speed of your turntable is consistent with no manual adjustments, bringing wow and flutter under 0.07%!
